I was going to get a topper A.R.E and make aluminium windows to lock on ramboxes. Then I remembered Flated. It works even for Ram boxes trucks. Included the 6"4 bed ❤🎉 awesome! HD Power Wagon, Ramboxes, 6"4, Decked,... FLATED! 🎉
Just got mine ! Love it . One suggestion for an upgrade; maybe try magnets to seal it to the truck on the back flap. I’m going sew a few on mine, maybe even a magnet strip.
Wow! This may be something for trucks pulling bumper pull RV’s worried about payload. We travel all over the country on our RUclips channel. This may also be the answer traveling with our Emountain bikes in the back. I will certainly be watching to see how this product hold up. Great idea!!
Awesome product. I noticed in almost all the videos of the camper shell that light comes through were the topper meets the bed, maybe you need to add a flap with a magnetic strip to cover that gap and avoid water dust and insects to get in.
This is really cool. I've been looking at toppers for my 2009 Ram 1500 4x4 that has Ramboxes. I only need one a few times a year and mostly as an aero aid when I'm towing my 1962 Shasta canned ham. This looks like a great solution for that and I see you show it fits the Rambox beds. Mine is the 5' 7" one.

I have one for my 2022 w ram boxes. It works great. In a pinch, you can reach through the side windows to loosen the straps on one side and lift the topper to access the ram boxes
Dude, this is an awesome idea! Could you try to make a version that goes from full height down to a tonneau cover height? Also, please try to integrate an LED center brake light too.

This would also give better visibility out the back of the truck. It might be way to complicated to execute, but let me know your thoughts. Great idea! I imagine being able to deflate the sides and only leave the top inflated so that it functions as a tonneau cover for day to day use when you don’t need the extra headroom.
Would be nice if there's option for the back window side to come off too for toyota tundra owners - nice option when camping and theres direct access to the front of the truck
How well do these hold up in Canadian Winter conditions? We get to -40C for long stretches? Also, how durable are they in the bush, if you were to take the truck hunting and they got scraped by branches?
Thanks for the question Jon, the Air-Topper is made out of durable PVC coated Drop Stitch material that will take on brush and limbs without damage. I drove mine straight into a parking garage "low clearance" sign and hit the concrete to about half way and backed out and it just scrapped it up a little. So these things are super tough, check another short video on our page where we rode an ATV on the Air-Deck and drove over an Air-Carrier with a tractor.

Do you feel like these upgrades address the leaking from the rain in the front bottom corners near the cab of the truck or do you have any suggestions on something you can do to stop that leaking?

I cant believe as the manufacturer of this (expensive) product that your happy to state to one of the other posters that .... "the new version doesnt leak much" acceptable Standards are clearly way lower than here in the uk for sure.
Great Question Joel. We are using a Phthalate-Free PVC drop stitch. It smells "new" out of the box, but that quickly goes away from driving it around town and down the highway. My wife is ultra sensitive to odors and she has never mentioned a thing about it. Back in the early days of Inflatable SUP's, the material stunk bad and off-gassed. But the technology has come a long way.

Magnets work great but there was a time when the manufactures made the tailgates out of aluminum so it’s not a universal solution. Thanks🤙

We have a lot of owners that run a bikes style cable lock on the inside from our d-rings to the tie down points in the truck

Yes, it has been tested for years and there has never been a problem even for people that drive faster than the posted speed limits.

What chemical or fumes come off the topper? I’m concerned about sleeping in there if it smells like plastic fumes, low ventilation

Would it deflate in the cold?
It will loose some pressure, but will not deflate to the point of collapsing.
It’s nice product. But you need to figure it out how to make it full seal to protect you from water in dust
