    It turned out great, I would add the possibility of the side openings having a mosquito net, (I don't know how to say in English a mesh that prevents mosquitoes from entering the interior), Excuse my English. Greetings from Argentina.

    Leer makes the DCC Contractor aluminum topper that is 36" above the pickup bed rails. That might give you an extra 12-18" of headroom.

    • @Shaun614
      @Shaun614 3 месяца назад

      the only issue iwith those aluminum toppers is the insulation factor, would definitely need to add some to keep the aluminum from absorbing the outside temperature.. wish they made more fiberglass campers with more head clearance that doesn't cost a fortune :/

    Definitely an improvement! Everyone is different but as far as I am concerned the ultimate luxury while camping is a mattress bed with sheets, blankets and pillows similar to what you'd have at home. And of course you don't sleep in your clothes in such a bed. Sleeping bags and sleeping in your clothes is fine for short trips but for long trips, beds rule.

    • @Intentionallyhomeless
      @Intentionallyhomeless Год назад

    I'm seeing this a year after great job however I would add a sink in the table. You can add a flip up door on cabinet hinges so the door is flushed in desk mode but can flip all the way out with a mirror on the bottom so when flipped up you have a sink with a mirror and at the same time a desk. The sink could be as simple as a face basin that can be removed to throw out water. The faucet could be a simple water jug with a controllable faucet.

    I only ate an hour ago and now I’m hungry again 😂 Awesome new setup Linnie, really smart. Love the flooring, nice colour. I can’t decide whether to do laminate or fake grass. I love that pillow with the fox 👍 I think way too many people over think/over complicate under bed storage and then they compromise head room so you’ve definitely made the right decision 👍 and now you won’t have to go outside to get something out of the drawer. Awesome job Linnie well done 👍❤️😎🇬🇧

      @@linnienorth I haven’t found a truck as yet but I do have one in mind that I like. A 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser VX J80. I can’t seem to find a decent pickup, either there rotted out or they’ve been to the moon and back (as in super high mileage) which isn’t a issue as long as it’s been maintained, which it hasn’t or it has “part service history” or you gotta buy one which has been restored but then your getting into the £18,000-£20,000 range. So I think I’m going to have to go a different route and buy a 4x4 but remove the back seats.

    • @linnienorth
      @linnienorth  Год назад

      @@AdamGoldswain Yeah it's definetly not easy. I remember I had the same problem with finding a decent truck. It feels impossible but don't give up the search eventually you will find what you are looking for. It will be worth it in the end 🙏🏼❤️

    • @AdamGoldswain
      @AdamGoldswain Год назад

      @@linnienorth I remember you had the Ranger that you decided to return because of the rust and that’s the other issue is that people are SO dishonest about rust/corrosion, I’ve been to look at half a dozen now where the seller has said it’s just surface rust and it isn’t, it’s corrosion! 😤🤬😤 I’d like to find a older pickup for the more reliable engine and easier maintenance cause obviously the newer ones are a pain in the ass to work on, too much electronics. But I can’t find a canopy/topper as not many manufacturers make them anymore, and when they do come up for sale their half way across the country or in Scotland 😂 but yeah like you said you too know how difficult/frustrating it is but just gotta keep looking 👍 thanks Linnie, take care and see you in the next one. Looking forward to hearing about your HGV progress too 👍😎

    FINALLY....a rig that makes sense that doesn't involve buying a Mercedes; seriously- wtf?! I'm retired, ready to move- and start the adventures, and all I know is that I NEED 4x4; And a SUV/pickup w/ a canopy seems to be the best option. You did a great job on the build. For me....I'm NOT wanting a rig that looks like a home, I'm looking for a rig that gets me "there", which is off-road.
