Sir in this lecture topic is controlled rectifier and your using Diode which is uncontrolled. Is it okay?
And one more thing in classification of rectifier i.e. based on type of control (switchs):
1. Controlled &
2. Uncontrolled.
Can we add this?
This is just rectifier topic, I have also explained controlled rectifier in my power electronics playlist.
Classification can be done in many ways so there is no as such issues.
@@EngineeringFunda as a technical point of view it's fine sir. Because we want only rectification. no matter haw it done but practically 80-90% used Ac-DC converters are Uncontrolled.

What happens if we use step up transomer
If you want higher DC voltage then you should use step up transformer

For that you will have to peak inverse voltage of Diode
How diode clips the negative half of output
As diode is in reverse bias, it clips negative half of output

+Gerwin NiwreG : capacitor and diode are not selected based voltage, it is selected based on power of input signal
+Gerwin NiwreG : for high power signal power diode is used and for fast charging of capacitance lower value of capacitor should be used
Can you give the behavior of a shorted capacitor in a circuit
Shorted capacitor has infinity charging time and zero discharging time. So across shorted capacitor you can see zero voltage but high frequency response will change.

Engineering Funda so i'd like to know in a full bridge rectifier , what would happen if 1) the capacitor filter is open ? 2) if the choke coil (inductor) opened?
If capacitor is open then output will be same as without filter. If inductor is open then output will zero for pi filter.
