Since it's getting HOT, I figured I'm gonna make a Summer Beauty Survival Kit video for you all. I got you sorted on the products that I think are an absolute MUST for the scorching season (and also products that's nice to have too hehe!).
It sure is getting very hot over here in Hong Kong. I hope you guys will stay hydrated. To my friends from down under (and from areas where it's still chilly), wrap up my loves!!

What I really love about Bubz and what makes her my favorite compared to other makeup gurus is that not only does she show us how to achieve certain makeup looks and hairstyles and how to properly do them, she knows her FACTS, and she genuinely knows health and beauty care. I've learned so much about my skin and hair and how to take care of them, what's healthy and nourishing for my body and what isn't. And she really knows her products and what they do to benefit us. Thanks for all the years you've devoted to our well-being, Bubz!

I thought they were useful because she only put them for important things and when I found myself wandering off to different tabs, I knew I had to get back here fast to see what she said when I heard that sound!! haha.
I agree, the sound is a great idea, but this sound is so cold and I don't know, I find it a little bit distracting from what she's saying.
Me too, I also find the sound effects to be distracting. :[ I think it'd be better if she used a less "sharp" noise.
I find them annoying. They make me stop watching the videos as soon as they start going "bleep"

I use the mint julep masque too, and it's also great for summertime because it had a nice cooling effect on the skin.

I just looked up that hair mask on amazon because I'm currently using the macadamia one which is too expensive for me to repurchase once I finish it. And of course the first review to pop up is someone who said they got it because you mentioned it a while back and now they love it! I think I'll order it after I finish my macadamia hair mask! Thanks for all the great product recommendations bubz.
As someone who has a shit ton of natural freckles, i just want to clarify - freckles are not a sign of weakening skin. What is a sign of sun damage is when sun spots appear that were not there before. I have many on my shoulders from getting one too many sun burns, but otherwise, the rest of them are natural. Do not feel insecure about your freckles! But do make sure you wear sun screen because new ones could appear and could become cancerous.
Freckles just means you gotta take extra care of the skin as it means skin is more vulnerable to the sun. I usually don't have them, but I do now and it just means my skin needs more protection these days. Ofc, genetics play a huge part which is why people with fair skin usually burn easier. Freckles are definitely adorable and I like freckles on my face ^__^ But it still means I should protect it too.

YESS !! Finally someone who puts lotion in their fridge..during summer i put about 2 bottles of lotion in the fridge so when i apply it its chilled ! i live in CA so it helps!

now I feel insecure about my freckles :( ( Bubz I love you and I know you didn't mean to make some of us feel this way, but I was born to naturally have freckles and it wasn't my fault to get them. I dont like that now I might be identified for broken skin )
She's didn't mean it that way. She ment to say when feckless appear, she was not talking about people that have freckles already.
Freckles are not a sign of your skin weakening... However, people with a lot of freckles (and this is genetic) do have a skin type that is more susceptible to the harmful effects of UV-radiation. Liver spots (also known as sun spots) on the other hand can be a sign of your skin being damaged by the sun and can look very similar to freckles. So don't worry, just use sun screen to protect your extra sensitive skin when it's sunny outside :)
I think what bubz was getting at was if people got freckles from being in the sun too much, I don't think she was aiming it at people who were genetically born with them, so don't feel insecure about them!
People don't "get" freckles from being in the sun too much, they get sun spots :) Freckles just become more apparent if your exposed to the sun... two completely different things

Freckles can also be natural too! Some people just have them, sun exposure or not :)

I think it's still better to have oily skin, because dry skin tends to age faster
If you have more oily skin than dry, u will get more acne which means more acne u need to cover up with makeup

Even if u blot there's still oil. So it helps a bit.
I have dry skin but I'll be fine about the wrinkles because black don't crack

What on earth does she mean about the freckles? I've had freckles all my life and thought it was only a gene thing? Isn't it common for red headed people to have freckles naturally? o:
I have dozens of freckles as well, born with it. However some freckles can be from too much sun as well, it doesn't mean that you always have bad skin when you have freckles however. :) Yes I agree with Jaima.
Freckles in 99% of people do come from their genes and I've never heard of it being from sun, personally I think that remark was just rude.

btw, apart from the ones u recommended for long wear liners, you could try the eye liners from essence cosmetics and Missha Stick Eyes. me tried n tested them in sunny hot beach trip.
Instead of purchasing blotting sheets, you can also use strips made out of the bathroom seat covers... you know those paper ones. They sell them at some stores pretty cheap and they work in a similar manner. Just an idea to save money.
also,bubz try out michelle phan's em cosmetics waterliners! they are super pigmentated and last all day!

I actually prefer liquid makeup no matter what the weather is. My skin just prefers it and it looks better. Cream or powder makeup doesn't settle nicely on my already dry skin. In the summer I just look for products with at least SPF 15 in them. My foundation already has it and my lip balm has it too. For my hair I use a double shampoo technique and a good hydrating conditioner. Summer is just a very high maintenance season. I have to pay attention to so many things.

this is very helpful to me since i also live in HK, the weather in HK is just horrible becoz you never know when will rain , and it is humid here !!! although some survival product doesnt suit me. blessing to the most beautiful mother in the world bubz and peanut ! oh also the nerdy tim.

The mint julep mask is also good to use to get rid of the dye drips stain sometimes that gets on my neck and forehead after when I dye my hair..
