      Wow! Thank you for sharing your design process 🙏 You've mentioned that you use Showit and WordPress, but I was wondering if you also use Webflow for your projects. If yes, could you please share your thoughts on those platforms and how they benefit you in the process..

    How does working with your copywriter work? Do you refer them to your Copy Writer or do you use them and pay them or does the client pay them? What does that process look like?
    Same with the Developer, how does that work? Do you pay for their services to do that for your client? Do you charge your client for this additional service?

    • @sergio_grez
      @sergio_grez 3 месяца назад +1

      I would always recommend that you as the leader of the project hire the copywriter and the developer as part of the package budget. In the eyes of the client you are a team of professionals that work together in a project with you as the leader. So any costs of copywriter and developer has to be included in the budget. Then i recommend that you make the copywriter take part in some of your meetings with the client so he can have a good idea of what the project's objective is from the mouth of the client him/herself, that way you won't waste time explaining everything to your copywriter again and again. In a perfect world (and many times i do it with the permission of the client) one would record the important meeting so you can later recall useful and important information. Cheers.

    how do you manage scope creep? and "hypercare"? maybe after a week the client comes back to you with some issues, what's your maximum duration to accept that added work?

    I want to be self-employed as a web designer and came across your videos! Your website and journey are inspiring!
    How do you manage several clients at the same time? After creating the mock-up on Figma, do you entirely stick to the design when designing on the different website builders?

    Thank you for sharing this process! I am hoping to transition to web design soon! I was wondering do you not add wireframing as a step before the design stage to agree on page layouts with your client?

    • @MeganWeeks
      @MeganWeeks  11 месяцев назад

      Part of the questionnaire I send asks them about the pages/navigation and we brainstorm that a bit before. Then the figma/mockup phase is what I consider the wireframe part!

      Maybe there might be a perfect AI figma-to-code plugin that turns designs into proper functional code without the need for refactoring almost the whole line of code because the AI didn’t do a good job, but for now that plugin doesn’t exist yet. I’ve used a majority of them including “locofy”, you still have to go in and clean the WHOLE code up!… I’m also a web dev

I also hang around in facebook groups so I can see people who are looking for help on their own website, after you have built a certain amount of websites or worked as a dev or designer for others wix lets you get into their partner program, where you get leads directly from them (every user that is trying to get make a website gets a "hire are a professional" button)
