I'm about to be starting in this arena, I am hoping you can answer a question that I have that has been nagging me. What do you do about domain names? Do you charge the client a domain name? Make them purchase the domain name? And I'm guessing you probably put their information if you purchase the domain name for them, but want to make sure as well. Thank you.

We actually JUST moved away from the UK (this video explains the move here: ruclips.net/video/OHXL9T6W_dY/видео.htmlfeature=shared) but for Honeybook I had everything from living/having family in Canada & the US. (SIN number & SSN number and address…) If you’re in the UK though and can’t do Honeybook, a lot of my students then use Dubsado and it’s fairly similar! (And most importantly, works in any country!)

Hi Paige.. this is a great video, so useful thank you. One question if you don't mind - what tools/software do you use for your branding services (mood board with logo, colour palette, fonts, design direction as shown in this video)? I am looking at offering this with web design too, but I'm not sure how best to start (I'm not a trained designer, but I have a creative eye and love it - I realise this may annoy all the professional designers out there!) Thank you :)
I spend a lot of time on proposals when they already want me… duh… think I might need to stop that!

Really is this a add for squarespace and honeybook and looks like you dont send emails of what you are offering disappointing
At what point do you have the clients pay for their plan so the domain has time to connect, and all integrations can be done. I know some things require the site to be connected first. At the very beginning?
Fab question Jessica! It honestly depends on the client, where their domain is, if we’re transferring it or connecting it, how much traffic they might get to their domain now, how okay/not okay they are with a coming soon page, or alternatively how specific they are about when the new site goes live on their domain…. Basically, haha, chat to your client about all those factors and plan accordingly. 😉

Ohhh fabulous question! I'm a Squarespace & Web Design business educator (you should come hang out in my free web designer bootcamp in a coupla weeks www.pbcourses.com/bootcamp )! I stopped offering 1:1 services because I fully booked out & then decided to teach others how to do the same - 4000 students & counting it's a fun ride!!
Shame I couldn't access the Bootcamp because I don't have a Facebook Account.
Gaah - we're not fans of Zuckerberg either! But until there's a better platform we're still finding facebook to be the best place to host bootcamp. Buuuttt we are working on a way to give access to replays outside of the metaverse (keep an eye on your email the next coupla days!) 🥰
