Better video than the other one I just saw where his bike broke and nobody would stop and he just cried. Kinda broke my heart a bit.
The luckiest man in history of tour down under 😊 by the way I was wondering why the mechanic didn’t change the bike since they caught up with him.
That surely will had taken a long time

far away the best comment
They caught up to him to raise the seat. They could have just handed him a new bike. It was a staged stunt. Watch it over again. He pops out from behind that car and he would have been watching the race if he was a fan. Also the fat dude points in his direction before he appeared. Not buying it.
@@judevenalian5008 You should watch videos carefully before you comment But I guess conspiracy is better than the truth.
I bet all that guy's friends were like "why even bring the bike you're not gonna ride it"
How good is Phill Liggett, worked out was happening straight away, the make of bike the low seat, he's the GOAT!
what an amazing story. This was destiny :D
From nowhere youtube has recommended me this...
He was very grateful in the interview. Expressed how lucky he was. What the heck yall talking about?
How does the mechanic raise his saddle while he's riding it?
Like you would do with any other bikes..
@@jeanmathieu857
While the bike is being ridden? In motion, with a rider on the bike? How?
@@itsm3th3b33 you just have to do like you would as usual. The rider will have to get near the team car where the mechanic will ajust the saddle from the car's window. Of course sometimes it wont be at the exact same height but its better than riding with a saddle height who's way too low or high

I’m not familiar with the rules in these races but it seems dodgy to me. For example I suppose the biker would hold on to the car while the mechanic holds on to the bike while fixing it. What prevents the team mechanic from taking his sweet time while the driver speeds up and the biker gets a free lift from his team car?
@@itsm3th3b33 oh haha welcome to the sport then ! They have to do this because the rider is not allowed to get any lifts from anyone and to save some time
What a nice bloke :)
An Aussie :)
I dont know anything about cycling but this dude is a fucking legend.
