    TIPS:
*Don’t start machine screw(s) or bolts with anything but your fingers. After it’s started, then use your power tool. This will keep you from cross threading your screws.
*On the ground wire, crimp or solder a ring connector on it, then install. If you look closely at the video, the bare wire comes loose. It’s difficult to keep a bare wire where it will stay put, without using a ring connector.
*The metal colored piece has a slot in it for the horn wire. Tape the sucker in place in the grove, so you don’t smash it causing a short or open while installing.
*Install everything but only snug the wheel on. CAREFULLY Drive the vehicle somewhere where there is no traffic, in a straight line to verify the steering wheel is straight. If it’s crooked, you can loosen it and reposition the steering wheel where it straight, then torque it down.
I hope this helps prevent what should be an easy install from turning into a nightmare.

The installation is straight forward, but my issue is the horn wire is too small to connect to the horn button. It doesn't fit

You really need to learn how to use a drill.... that wheel on the collar behind the chuck... that sets your torque, set it at 1 or 2 for "test fitting", then set it at "10-12" for final assembly... having it cranked all the way up or on "drill" means you could mar the bolts, cross-thread, or pinch things unnecessarily. Let the tool do the work. Also, keep the speed on "low" or "1"... that way it wont torque in your hand.

You need to tell classicparts to clearly state the necessity of this A01 installation kit for chevy trucks. I sat out in my drive with a steering wheel kit that came with unnecessary hardware and NO INSTRUCTIONS. Add to that a company that is not open on weekends and I am one unhappy customer. Oh and a true professional would never attach a ground the way you did. Include a spade connector and use that.

I just got one of your steering wheels for our 1969 Camaro. The plastic housing coming out of the steering column does not have the slot so the black plastic clip will not stay in place. How can I fix this? Thanks

Thats because the original retainer position is under the adapter. I been scratching my head all damn dat and no matter how far i push it down. My old retainer wont go down...

+juan peralta I picked up a column from the junkyard, the steering wheel was missing but it had this 3 bolt adapter. I used a normal 2 bolt puller from the auto parts store, screwed in 1 bolt then started tightening the puller then as it started leaning to the side with the 1 bolt i hit the other side with a hammer and it popped right off. Probably not the best way but it worked for me.
