Thank you so much for talking about lean pcos. I've been pcos all my life and have been very skinny all my life. I always research about pcos and I wonder wether keto diet and intermittent fasting applies to us or not?

Moderate carbohydrates. Keto probably not needed if you are slender....but probably doesn’t hurt.

I’m so thankful for this video. I was just diagnosed at 23 and was so confused when the doctor asked me if I gain weight too easy considering I’ve always had a hard time gaining weight/maintaining food intake/ working out too much. Before being diagnosed I was having serious blood sugar crashes and I started breaking out after having clear skin my whole life. I haven’t got much information from any doctors :/

I had one natural period at age 12 and never again throughout my adolescence. I was put on the pill to stimulate my cycles and have been on them now for nearly 10 years. I'm not ready to conceive but I'd like to take a break from the standardized therapy and explore my options. I hate exercise, I've never loved to run, so maybe I stray from the typical "thin" pcos patient, but I'll give diet and exercise a try. Thank you for uploading this information. I saw one very good pediatric endocrinologist as a teenager but have since been disappointed by the insight and education my GYNs and family doctors have been able to offer me.

Marisa you need a few hormone tests and a vaginal sonogram. You will need to be off the oral contraceptives for at least two weeks before the blood tests. Make sure they draw an AMH with the other hormones. Good luck!

Great video. Although I would like to avoid IVF, of course it gives so many hopes but I would prefer to treat lean pcos through nutrition at first. A video with meal ideas would be very helpful!!

OMG this is sooo me, i've been watching all videos about pcos on youtube but none of them explain about lean pcos. I've followed their tips which is low carbs, gluten free, i eat protein and healthy fats for breakfast, stop eating junk/processed foods, eating green vegetables, fruit and almost all the stuff they suggest yet my period still won't come. The last time i got it was august.
