This gorgeous seaside property is only in soft-opening but already I can report that it has the single best (and freshest!) food and beverage offering of any of the big 5-star hotels on the island thanks to Executive Chef Francesco Grecco. He has visited all of the farms on Batam and many across Indonesia and is sourcing their fresh (never frozen) meats, fish, shellfish, veg, and artisan cheeses in true farm-to-table style.
PRO TIP: don't miss their cheese platter with fresh cheese by Indonesian artisan cheesemakers. Ohhh and they also make fresh artisan bread, so if you live here on Batam, stop in and buy a loaf. They're super affordable and Italian bakery quality.

Wow, look at all d amazing fresh seafood. And all d food in this video looked simply delicious. Desserts too.
They work with so many local farmers and fishermen .. and cheese makers in Medan, Bali and (I think) Java. So gooooood!

I have a suggestion for you Angela, you can use a mic with a windshield. So the wind sound is not heard and your voice becomes clearly. Nice vlog.
I had left my pro RODE mic back in my room and forgot until I was half way through shooting :-( Normally the sound is better than just the Leica mic ;-) But yes, thank you.

The caprese salad looked so yummy - a favorite of mine - with the mozzarella looking like it was at perfect texture. Do they serve lobster too?
OMG David, check this out >> the Marriot team makes their own buffalo mozzarella! Everything else they buy from the artisan cheesemakers in Bali, Medan and Java but that cheese on your favourite salad is made on-site :-) Was so goood! And yes, I saw lobsters there but wasn't offered one during the buffet so they must be a la carte from the menu.
