- The Italian Navy approached the rickety wooden ship with caution, and a wide berth. Go in too quickly, and the migrant boat might capsize by everyone moving to one side.

What happened to Africa being dirt poor? That girl fetching water had "fashionable" skinny jeans, earrings, nice blouse, etc. A large majority of the other people appeared to be reasonably dressed as well. They all wear Western clothes like they are straight out of America. I'm sure they must have it sooo hard. Their local Starbucks closing down was probably enough to prompt them to leave for Italy.

"So GOD came in a form of Italian Navy" . Totally believe the story. I feel heartbreaking when see people suffering wars in Syria, Somali. Those people in this video are very courage, have faith in others (Italia), risk their life to go to Italia, Greece. When I was in Greece, I and a Greek taxi driver saw a refugee at a traffic light begging for coins. The Greek driver gave coins and feel sorry for refugees situation. I asked some American friends how they feel/treat refugees and immigrants... they say they would do the same as the Greek taxi driver, no any discrimination...
To be honest, when I first saw the refugee, I was doubt, even thought the person is trying to deceive others money. After talking with friends, read news,.... I know I was wrong! sorry!

I feel sorry for them too, but theirs about 2 billion poor people that would love to emigrate to europe…how many are you going to take in ? half a billion? A billion? All 2 billion ? what’s the limit? And what happens when you reach the limit and they still keep coming in ?

The end up picking up 100's of men and maybe 30 or 40 women and children. What's wrong with this picture? It should be mostly women, children and old people, more vulnerable people escaping "extreme violence", not strong young men. These men either ran and left the women and children to suffer and die, or they are lying about being conflict refugees.

One of the largest crimes is failing to protect and defend EU's Citizens, at least give arms to the good guy, can't believe the police and government throw citizens to the wolves.
China has built up entire areas filled with brand new massive empty apartment complexes and NO ONE lives in them. Why aren't the Chinese helping out by taking in many of these migrants? Most Chinese would rather live in the crowded cities already established & that is why the building project failed. There are no stores or businesses in these new & multiple areas. These migrants could start businesses there. All the money they are spending on refugee camps and hygiene and medical conditions that would be alleviated should be spent to send them to these already empty spacious areas.
