Personally I always prefer SEIKO group watches (SEIKO, Alba, Orient, Pulser, etc) over other non SWISS brands. So my opinion will be a lil biased towards Seiko 😁 Coming to the reality: Brand value and resale value - Seiko does better as Seiko watches will give you higher value than Timex if you sell Movement reliability - both has Japanese trusted movement, so no need to worry. Manual winding capability - Timex has this feature and the particular Seiko model doesn't have this Built quality - both are good Dial size - Seiko one is compact size dress watch while Timex one is bigger size casual watch. I personally liked the Seiko one - it might be for my biases towards Seiko and you better decide of your own on looks After sales service - both are great Price - during sale period you can get the Timex watch at 5k while for Seiko you need to spend 10k+ even with bank offer during sale. Sir - 7S26 SEIKO aur nehi bana raha hai, par unke pas already stock available hai for any service support. TO kuch bhi issue nehi honge. Mere paas SEIKO 17 jewel handwind movement wali 70s ki watch hai jo perfectly chalta hai - service bhi 200 rupaye me ho jata hai. SEIKO kabhi dhoka nehi deta Sir.

It comes with 3 Bar water resistance rating which means it can tolerate light rain or hand wash. But you cannot take shower or swim with it. Hope this clarifies the doubt?

This is a classic dress watch that will never go out of style. Even longines and omega make simple watches with case dia less than 40mm. This watch is a steal but the problem is that swapping strap on this watch is a problem.
