Connection Setup:
First, connect the Smart ESC Programming Update Box to the Spektrum ESC using a JST Y Connector 3 Pin JST Plug Splitters, Servo Male to Female Y Wire Cable. (amzn.to/3OOm4Nq)
Next, connect the Smart ESC Programming Update Box to the PC using a USB A to Type C Cable. (amzn.to/3O4GtOh)
Turn on the radio, connect the Battery to the Spektrum ESC, and turn the ESC on.
Configuration Process:
Proceed to the PC, right-click on the Spektrum USB Link App, select 'Run as administrator', and press ok.
Confirm that the ESC is connected to the Spektrum USB Link App.
Select Profile, choose settings, and apply settings once you are done making changes.
After configuring settings, write to ESC, and then press disconnect.
Once the ESC reboots, shut it down.
Calibration Steps for the ESC:
Press and hold the set button, then press the power button. Wait for the beep and flashing red light on the ESC, indicating it's in calibration mode.
Confirm that the Throttle Trimmer is set to Neutral (Center) and that the throttle trigger is in the neutral position. Press the set button.
Next, press and hold Full throttle, then press the set button.
Following that, press and hold Full Brakes, and press the set button.
Wait for the ESC to reboot.
Shut down the ESC, turn it back on, and test the throttle and brakes to confirm they work correctly.

what is the gray wire for that is on the battery connector its on the plug but i dont have it on my battery
The gray wire on the Spektrum Firma 100 amp Smart ESC that you see on the battery connector is for telemetry data. This wire is used to transmit information from your ESC to a compatible receiver or telemetry-enabled device, allowing you to monitor various parameters such as battery voltage, temperature, and current in real time. If your battery doesn't have this wire, you won't be able to utilize these telemetry features unless you use a battery that includes this capability. Example is the Spektrum 7.4v 5000mAH 2s Smart Hard Case LiPo Battery.
