4GB of VRAM is cutting it close in 2023. Going forward, 6GB or even 8GB is likely to become the minimum for AAA, current-gen-only titles. The performance of the RTX 3050 Mobile in general will struggle in these newer releases. We’d recommend stepping up to at least an RTX 3060 Mobile with 6GB VRAM.

Thank you for the review, and for the amazing accent :D Could you please tell me if the screen is IPS, and the estimated battery life for non gaming use?
Hi, it comes down to price. The Ti isn't all that faster than the non-Ti, but if both laptops are the same price, you might as well go for the faster one. The ASUS TUF has better build quality than the Acer Nitro, however, so you might run into less issues with it. Hope this helps!
The RTX 3050 Ti is only about 2% faster than the 3050 so consider them as being the same when factoring in GPUs. I suggest you look on RUclips for direct comparisons or online for FPS tables to see what you'll be getting performance wise
I was about to buy an MSI (budget version). But, I like this one better it has a number pad, rgb hey board. And easier to pop open. Also, I don't game... But buying a Chromebook (trash), or a more expensive laptop with soldered ram and ssd... No thank you.

Hi, we'd start off with the laptop's official upgrade guide, available here: bit.ly/3OD89HB It's got the info you'll need to remove the compartment cover, install a RAM module, install an M.2 card, and more. And if you need visual guidance, we're sure there's RUclips videos showing the FX506HCB's disassembly. Hope this helps!
Hello, does anyone have a particular testimony about this product after months of usage? what is the downside of the F15? (both hardware / software perspective)
Just sometimes when u game on it for a longer term of time it heats up to a noticable level but cooling pad fixes it and not that big battery life but its a super good performance machine
cons are prolly the thermal, and i have the 48Wh variant, so usage is like just atleast an hour, but when I'm gaming I always use AC power to prevent battery straining and more performance boost
Hi Do you think this laptop is enough for video editing? DaVinci Resolve? for Full HD or 4K videos? Is that Nvme ssd or 2.5"? Does it have place for another 2.5" SSD?
Hi, the included SDD is NVMe. In terms of storage expansion, there's an another M.2 slot and since this model has a smaller 48WHr battery, a 2.5" drive bay is likely exposed. You can video edit on this laptop too. Nothing movie-grade, but a lighter workload is manageable. You may want to add another 8GB stick of RAM as video editing is quite RAM hungry. Hope this helps!
With the 3050 in this system it can handle flight sim on low settings. The main drawback is the 8gb or RAM so this will need to be upgraded if you want to push the settings any higher
Hi, this laptop uses a 48Wh-capacity battery. Using the iGPU, this gets you 4-5hrs battery life in non-gaming tasks and light workloads - browsing the web, streaming videos, etc. In games using the dGPU, however, expect it to last 90 minutes at most. Hope this helps!
Just got this after my Razer Blade 15 had it's end. I will say that I think the Razer blade is better in performance and more powerful than the budget ASUS Tuf, however I really like the design of Asus and their keyboard and LED lighting is better than Razer blade. @@catesteceasul4369 I can tell you, I just got my hands on this laptop about 1 month ago, it is one of the BEST budget gaming laptops, it can run almost any modern game with high-ultra settings at around 60-300 fps. I maxed my settings in GTA V and it ran on freaking 90 fps! The RTX 3050 is very underrated but it's actually a good gpu. The cpu is also pretty good but nothing out of this world, although it can run on Windows 11! The fans on the laptop are a bit noisy just like any other laptop but surprisingly, when playing very demanding games, the laptop averages a temperature of 60-70 degrees, I think that's pretty good! Let's not forget about that nice 1TB SSD, it boosts up your game performance by a LOT. The 16 GB Ram are pretty nice but nothing too special since you can see that on most modern laptops/pc's. Final conclusion: it's definitely worth it man Sorry for the long message, just wanted to fill you in.

Is there a way to optimize this laptop to have better performance? I have the RTX 3050 version of this laptop. Been trying a few things, but when I try CS:GO if seems to really push the laptop to really high thermals with lots of lag, even when I put everything at lowest settings. I feel like I must not have it setup right or maybe my internet connection is just not super great. When I run my speed connection tests im about 78.7 Mbps download & 28.1 Mbps upload speed. The best latency I can find are about 60 latency when searching custom servers.
look at the asus crate software and switch to optimized, also don't forget to plug it in, gaming in a plugged-in laptop is better because it won't rely on battery and it won't strain the battery that much. Also look at the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, and switch from Auto-Select to High-performance so it really uses the GPU. The con of this laptop is it doesn't have mux switch

@@ebuyerofficial i watch some rtx 3050 vids on the star wars and it looked pretty good at low settings/med but im not an expert so sorry it im sounding stupid
Hellooo brother what’s the battery duration of this pc ( just using word or PowerPoint and not playing)
if used in eco mode, if it's the 48Wh variant prolly atleast an hour and a half
a lot of energy, i love this review thank you for the informations
I'm just afraid of 4GB vram what do you think
4GB of vram is plenty for casual gaming and even on most modern titles if you tweak the graphics settings a bit. On my personal rig I have a 1050ti with 4GB of vram and that runs most things, even flight sim
@@ebuyerofficial just ordered a msi with this GPU and core i5 with 8gb of Ram. So halo infinite Xbox game pass and call of duty and demanding games will run pretty good ?
@@dethklokrocks14 yeah halo infinite runs with a promising 80 fps ultra even with the vram being so low
Hello does this model still relevant in 2023? I'm surveying laptop to buy. Can someone help on choosing me a laptops model? P/s I usually use laptop for editing, office work and autocad. But a little bit gaming capabilities should be fine
is the cooling good?
Hi, the NVIDIA GPU's temperatures are manageable but, as will all gaming laptops, it's the CPU that runs hot. Under full load, this laptop can run upwards of 90°C. It’s hot, but not unheard of for a gaming laptop. Hope this helps.
man i dont understand, i just got this laptop, in warzone 2 even at minimun settings i get 24 -40 fps, is unplayable, i already did all the configurations that had to make and tips i got from a lot of videos. using RTx gpu, plugged in, turbo mode, no apps running in backround, last drivers etc. Should i upgrade to 16GB of ram? that would be a solution?
Yes
@@drummer7557 did it, worked, thanks man.
How many core and threads in this laptop ?
6 and 12
Isn't the "USB-C" a thunderbolt 4 port, I've been doing research and have found that it is thunderbolt 4 compatible. I would like to add an external GPU eventually :)
i also wonder is that possible? plaining to buy this laptop :)))
Is the RAM easily upgradeable?
yes, the only thing slowing you down are the screws, but nonetheless, RAMS pretty much plug and play, just watch out for the frequency, just to be sure
Is it worth ? Im thinking on buying this laptop
Depends what games your going play. Check the spec requirements of the games and see the laptops to see if it can handle it. For me it's definitely worth it
is it good for 3d animation and vfx learning
Hi this laptop will be capable for the basics and even manage some animations in 3ds max and blender. Don't be expecting to render out a Hollywood grade full CG animation but it will be a good starting point for learning. Hope this helps :)
Can you tell me more about the display is it 100% sRGB?
Hi, here's the display specs: 45% NTSC, 47.34% Adobe RGB, 62.5% sRGB. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the review, and for the amazing accent :D
Could you please tell me if the screen is IPS, and the estimated battery life for non gaming use?
the screen is LED with 62% sRGB accuracy
I had a hard time understanding him cause of his cool accent :D
question, I'm torn between nitro 5(with rtx 3050ti) and tuf f15 (with a rtx 3050). is there a significant upgrade or difference between the two?
Price i guess
Hi, it comes down to price. The Ti isn't all that faster than the non-Ti, but if both laptops are the same price, you might as well go for the faster one. The ASUS TUF has better build quality than the Acer Nitro, however, so you might run into less issues with it. Hope this helps!
thanks
nitro 5 has less battery
The RTX 3050 Ti is only about 2% faster than the 3050 so consider them as being the same when factoring in GPUs. I suggest you look on RUclips for direct comparisons or online for FPS tables to see what you'll be getting performance wise
Merhaba, laptopda ısınma sorunu var mı yaz ayları için ekstra bir soğutucu almaya gerek var mı?
Are you able to make the lights on the keyboard stay one color?
Does this laptop have mux switch?
I was about to buy an MSI (budget version).
But, I like this one better it has a number pad, rgb hey board. And easier to pop open.
Also, I don't game... But buying a Chromebook (trash), or a more expensive laptop with soldered ram and ssd... No thank you.
Which one did you buy at the end? MSI or Asus
i think the tuf is very comfortable and İ want buy this but it is very expensive in Azerbaijan
Hey any video for its 16gb rtx 3050ti variant??
I have a question, I have this exact laptop and I’m needing to upgrade my SSD and RAM. Do you think you guys could link me some reliable sources? Anything from anyone helps :)
Hi, we'd start off with the laptop's official upgrade guide, available here: bit.ly/3OD89HB
It's got the info you'll need to remove the compartment cover, install a RAM module, install an M.2 card, and more. And if you need visual guidance, we're sure there's RUclips videos showing the FX506HCB's disassembly.
Hope this helps!
What’s the battery life?
absolute garbage with the small battery version
Got some question: Storage is 512 SSD, are there any 2nd slot SSD that I can increase even more or it stays 512 SSD as it should be?
Hi, there's another M.2 slot for storage expansion. Hope this helps.
Hello, does anyone have a particular testimony about this product after months of usage? what is the downside of the F15? (both hardware / software perspective)
Just sometimes when u game on it for a longer term of time it heats up to a noticable level but cooling pad fixes it and not that big battery life
but its a super good performance machine
cons are prolly the thermal, and i have the 48Wh variant, so usage is like just atleast an hour, but when I'm gaming I always use AC power to prevent battery straining and more performance boost
@@ebuyerofficial Yes, thank you.
Hey! Is this good for heavy flight sims like Microsoft flight sim 2020 and does it support rgb keyboard lightning?
With the 3050 in this system it can handle flight sim on low settings. The main drawback is the 8gb or RAM so this will need to be upgraded if you want to push the settings any higher
What’s the battery capacity and life like on this laptop?
Hi, this laptop uses a 48Wh-capacity battery. Using the iGPU, this gets you 4-5hrs battery life in non-gaming tasks and light workloads - browsing the web, streaming videos, etc. In games using the dGPU, however, expect it to last 90 minutes at most. Hope this helps!
@@ebuyerofficial Thank you! Would you recommend this laptop to a computer science college student?
Just got this after my Razer Blade 15 had it's end. I will say that I think the Razer blade is better in performance and more powerful than the budget ASUS Tuf, however I really like the design of Asus and their keyboard and LED lighting is better than Razer blade.
I would definetly get the Razer blade again but with those prices it's just not worth it even if it's an excellent laptop. I hope this Asus will be a good replacement.
Update? :) is it good??
Final conclusion: it's definitely worth it man
Sorry for the long message, just wanted to fill you in.
how about the battery life of this, it's drain so fast or just normal?
how about the battery life of this, it's drain so fast or just normal?
Does it have thunderbolt 4 port ?
gta 5 online crashes for me exactly on this model, ram memory usage is 60% when it's just turned on, and no program is running, don't you know what it is?
Bro is it charge cuz if its not the fps willl not be good
What kind of memory should i buy?
Idk if it use pcie 3.0 or 4.0 so i cant buy more memory
for me so yes. that problem that if I pull it down from a network lasabb the system. the windows they are ripping. if back up I hide it onto a charger this ceases to be the machine express the windows open quickly.
what may be the trouble? RAM increased to 16
this or the predator helios 300 i511th gen version?
Hi, the games you test was it on the highest quality? Bc I'm trying to have a laptop that can play fortnite with 120 fps
Hi The games we tested on this laptop were well optimized. With games like fortnite that are not as well optimized you would have to dial down to medium settings in order to achieve 120fps
Well i have 120-250 fps on cs go with this laptop
@@nottazer2743 yes bro easily
@@tapze_ yeah and on fortnite with Max Settings and raytracing i get about 45-80 fps

How does this preform with borderlands 3 can it stay at 60fps on medium / high without dropping fps?
I have the same question. Borderlands 3 really heats up my ryzen cpu and lags after 90°. I Want to know how this laptop handles it in ambient room temp 21°-30°.
Do you guys know is it good for Microsoft simulator flight simulator 2020
Is this better than acer nitro 5 an515-57?
if the GPU is an RTX 3050, shouldn't the frames be atleast 300 fps?
depends on what you're gaming, and also it's a mobile version, so performance depends on how many watts the gpu has
Could this play Microsoft flight simulator?
In Romania is 600euro brand new same configuration.
hey, just got this laptop, ive downloaded rust which runs pretty smooth but im not sure if it would run a game like GTA, should i get it on this or hold off until i get a PC
Hi, GTA should run fine on medium to low settings on this laptop. With its 4Gb of Vram it is very capable
@@_kousik_ Hi, this model has a 48WHr battery and should last around 4-5hrs in light-medium workloads (web browsing, video streaming, etc.)
Hope this helps!
You should definitely be able to run gta 5 on very high settings lol
Is it upgradeable (ram stroge)?
Yes, it is but there is also a 16 ram version with a little bigger price
Is there a way to optimize this laptop to have better performance? I have the RTX 3050 version of this laptop. Been trying a few things, but when I try CS:GO if seems to really push the laptop to really high thermals with lots of lag, even when I put everything at lowest settings. I feel like I must not have it setup right or maybe my internet connection is just not super great. When I run my speed connection tests im about 78.7 Mbps download & 28.1 Mbps upload speed. The best latency I can find are about 60 latency when searching custom servers.
Maybe the system is using the on board graphics of the processor, and not the 3050. Check the settings in Windows and set the 3050 to CSGO
Upgrade ram ( buy a 3200mhz 8gb) to switch dual channel mode
@@rootheimdall what difference does dual channel make?
look at the asus crate software and switch to optimized, also don't forget to plug it in, gaming in a plugged-in laptop is better because it won't rely on battery and it won't strain the battery that much. Also look at the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, and switch from Auto-Select to High-performance so it really uses the GPU. The con of this laptop is it doesn't have mux switch
i have that exact same thing on my left right now
Is the camera okay?
Hi, as it's a gaming laptop, the ASUS TUF 15's webcam isn't going to be the best. Considering it's only 720p, it produces decent results under the right lighting. Hope this helps!
Does it not come with stickers and other flair in the box didnot see in vid. Also was windows pre installed
Hi, Windows 10 comes pre-installed, with a free upgrade to Windows 11 too. James must've removed the stickers before filming.
Hope this helps!
What is tgp of this??
Does 16 or 32 gb of RAM improve a lot on fps
yes, 16GB is the sweet spot, but if you're also doing some heavy editing go for more
