    Once again, great job. Love the way you broke down the solo.into very intuitive portions and then repeated the section so it’s still in “melodic RAM memory” of the brain before moving on to the next section. Makes following along so much easier. Very often slowing down fast solos make them sound different and this way it reconciles the way the lick IS played and how it SOUNDS on the brain. Great work again!

      @chasingfrets  3 года назад +1

      Thank you very much. I completely agree with you when you say that slowing down a fast lick ( and leaving it at that) can throw you off musically, that's why I think it's very important to give all those fast licks a musical context - how they work together, so you can digest a whole phrase as it was intended to sound rather then just having individual pieces of a puzzle without the whole picture - and that's the whole idea, that when you play certain sections of the solo even slowed down, you can still retain song's musical flow in your mind just slowed down. Thank you again for the kind words, I'm really glad you find my lessons helpful, cheers!:)

      @@chasingfretsi agreed, the trick is, to compulsory practice the licks slowly, easier said than done, the Temptation to play @ fast tempo is quite high though 🤤😂🫨

    Many thanks for sharing, you are a true hero!

      Hvala puno matori! Vidi to je tehnika koju sam skoro ubacio u repertoar (u smislu učestalosti korišćenja) a koju Yngwie koristi konstantno. U pitanju je tehnika down-up-pull off jako korisna fora za desnu ruku pogotovo za 3 note per string imaš primer u mom video za 'Liar' premotaj na 4:05 min.Molim te pogledaj i ovaj video od Cesaria Filha ( nije na engleskom) al provalices sta hoce da kaze u vezi desne ruke a tiče se te tehnike, najbolji Yngwie gitarista na Yt, evo link. ruclips.net/video/RXzLRkkbbqE/видео.html

    CHASING FRETS, thanks for the youtube lesson its really good
    Can you make a youtube video lesson showing a lot of different yngwie harmonic minor licks, phrygian dominant licks, yngwie finger tapping licks?
    Can you make more videos like this for ygnwie songs
    Caprici Di Diablo
    From a Thousand Cuts
    Lament

      Hey thanks Bill! Caprici Di Diablo is a grate instrumental and I'll probably do a cover/tutorial on it when I find the time.Also if you would like to learn about Yngwie's picking technique, his approach to scales and other stuff his playing is known for,I strongly recommend checking out Troy Grady's AMAZING series CRACKING THE CODE episode #10 'Inside the volcano' where he analyzes very methodically Yngwie's playing,I learned a lot from that video! Here is the link ,cheers! ruclips.net/video/iUcHE9ZxjHc/видео.html

      Yngwies Adagio' G3 concert version has arpeggios and lines, Do you know how to play Yngwies Adagio .
      can you make a youtube video showing how to play yngwie adagio G3 live in denver cover slowly to learn from because I can't figure out the arpeggios and scales lines he does around the melody line. If you can play it slowly i can learn from it

    Chasing frets, can you make a video lesson that shows a lot of examples of yngwie using 8th triplet licks or 16th note triplet licks. Because Yngwie specializes in using triplet licks in his lead lines and makes it sound very classical

    nice...could you do a tutorial on how to sound like yngie?

    • @chasingfrets
      @chasingfrets  2 года назад +1

      In terms of his equipment Yngwie is an old school kind of a guitarist, he sticks to Marshall amps, strats, overdrive pedals ( he's got his own signature pedal), delay, reverb, cry baby etc. so nothing too crazy. The most important element of his sound however is really the way he plays, which means it's really important to listen to his articulation, attack, not to mention his wide and aggressive vibrato . Until you start using your ears you won't get there in terms of sound. Start by isolating a single phrase you like but really listen how it's played ( it doesn't have to be anything fast, maybe a theme you like, for example from 'Black Star') think of it like learning a foreign language and gradually losing the accent, it's all about those nuances, it needs to be heard and felt.

    Will it help if i use lighter string g gauges ,like 0.09 to 0.42 ,in Eb ..?

    • @chasingfrets
      @chasingfrets  3 года назад +1

      That's the set I personally use ( Ernie Ball super slinky) it does make it easier to play especially in terms of bending. Yngwie actually uses hybrid set of strings 0.08 to 0.46, so anyway I recommend trying the set of 0.09s you'll feel the difference for sure, cheers!
