Gotta remember jack has always done bodybuilder poses since t6 but I’m glad they actually let him do it as a stance cancel instead of just in a winner cutscene

He's been doing the Schwarzenegger win pose since T1.
He's done bodybuilder poses for way longer than that. The earliest I can remember is either T3 or TTT, I'm not sure about T2.

But then the immersion is lost when Lars did the choke grab on Jack 8 and you hear a bone crack
He never looked bigger either, dude is an absolute unit.
One thing I've noticed with the recent Tekken 8 trailers is the view counts seem to increase as it goes on. The momentum seems to rise with each trailer. The King one has the most views out of all the character trailers.
The Jun one could possibly hit trending with how long it's been since we've seen her canonically. Hell it's been a decade since Tag 2
King makes sense since he's basically the mascot of Tekken.

The little details like when Jack fires the particle beam cannon finisher. And it actually knocks him off his feet shows the actual power gets me hyped af🔥
But then he's just standing there like it didn't? He even lets go of the cannon when he gets blown away. It keeps confusing me

I love that the explosion from his Rage Art is so strong it sends him flying too.
I really dig Jack's whole look, even the visor. He looks intimidating for once. Maybe I'm in the minority, but Jack has always come across kinda goofy to me. The sound design in this game is top tier so far. Every blow sounds thunderous and feels impactful.
I've always been a casual player of Tekken, but these trailers actually make me want to pick up and learn a character. That also comes with learning Tekken in general, which is hard, lmao
He looks really good, my only nitpick would be that his gamer led lights are a bit too much, maybe if they were a bit thinner it would be perfect

I feel like Jack 8 has more in common with gun jack than other Jacks
This version of Jack is really awesome. The model,the Rage Arts,the Intro and the victory animaton where the lenses goes up to reveal his eyes is out of the park ❤️

The character designs for this game are knocking it out of the park. I didn't expect every single character to look so good. Even good ol' Jack is looking super fresh.
One thing I'm most excited about is the character customization. I'd love to see Jack with his face fully covered with some badass mask or something.
Hopefully they bring back the endoskeleton outfit to see how it looks like in 2023🙏

Always been a big fan of heavies in Tekken. He looks better than ever and his super is sick. Heck yeah
I know it's not gonna happen, but I'm still hoping for Gigas to come back.
@@alt0799 Based on what Harada said on some interviews (no clones/very similar characters on base roster, and way smaller overall roster), and the moves from Gigas that Jack is incorporating into his movelist, I'd argue there are low chances of seeing Gigas. At least on release.
Gigas was a neat character, but - unfortunately - not very popular in terms of player usage.
I like to call them the big body characters

He is not madly popular, I get that, but he has way better chances than Gigas or even Lucky Chloe.
I honestly like Jack’s new voice, he doesn’t sound like an old man coughing
I think what makes Jack-8 look so good aesthetic-wise are that proportions of his body are just right. He doesn't have comically small legs and/or a comically huge head. 2:28 of him standing as an example.
Edit: Jack-8 not having basketballs for shoulders also helps a ton.
I'm so hyped for Jack-8. Jack was actually the very first character I picked up when I played Tekken 5 for the first time. He looks so sick!
dunno how much people like Jack, but I think this version has some cool arm attacks. I appreciate how Tekken 8 is giving everyone a great shine up with their moves.

I always LOVED Jack and Gun Jack! This is a slightly different direction, more Robocop meets Cyberpunk than Terminator Homage, but still cool. :D
I played Gigas in 7 among others. Most of the people who played him are moving to jack because of the similarities in playstyle.

Can't believe Jack of all people has a better rage art than Jin.
Edit: Before more people make replies assuming, no I don't think Jin's Rage art is trash or bad I just feel it isn't as visually appealing as other characters.
Jin's in general is just hella lacking. This is a game where Lars,Jack,King,Kazuya,and even Paul has a better RA than Jin 💀

Not every single characters rage art has to be flashy. Jin isn’t the kind of guy to be flashy with his stuff that much.

Finally they used a new voice for Jack. Also, he has the P-Jack's twisting arm.
One thing that gives me hope for Anna is what you said about them incorporating moves from their counterpart.
King has AK moves, JACK has Gigas moves, Kaz/Devil, Jin/DJ etc
But Nina got no moves from Anna, so fingers crossed

I've been rocking with Jack since the 1st TTT. It's crazy to watch how he has changed from them to now. Can't lie, I am intrigued with the flex cancels. I also do se the Gigas influence as well with them too

I haven’t played a lot of Tekken and he looks like one of the more interesting ones to me. So far I like him, Nina, and King.
The explosion of the rail gun knocking Jack back is a nice touch
Actually it's more P Jack that their borrowing moves from specifically a lot of the drill punch moves that P Jack had.
btw Jack has his memory backed up since Tekken 1 so he remembers getting destroyed in every game

Jack seems to specifically counter Korean backdash with moves that can stun from far away. He can get in while the opponent is stunned and punish panic moves with his armor.

I'm excited to see Jack get a great trailer. I never want to see any character get mostly ignored, so hopefully this brings more people to check him out.
His Buff pose reminds me a lot to Hugo's taunt in Sf

As someone who played primarily Gigas in Tekken 7, this is the most interesting version of Jack for me, I will probably be playing him a bit.
I'm acutally going to scream if someone ends up doing an Atom Smasher skin for him.
I came here to hear Max reference "Proton Cannon!!!!", and oh boy did he say it earlier than I thought lol, I also thought it was the Iron Man super when I first saw it haha
Jack´s Rage Art might legit be my favorite Rage Art so far, Cause even tho it´s so simple, the way the Rage Art is presented makes it look phenomenal

When I first saw this, I thought to myself "Proton CANNON!" Not disappointed Max felt the same.
Jack is simple, yet effective. Just be an absolute unit and put you through the most pressure against an opponent in any fight since the history of everdom.
Jack is FAST man!
Even if you never intend to play certain characters, like Jack for example, its still VERY important to see what they do, because youll be fighting them, every character, and every move, and intricacy that every fighter is capable of executing, is analytical gold, and is essential to learn.
But yea, in Jacks case, he fucky fast.
And i think that's what's making Tekken the most hardest fighting game ever. If you're really serious at being good at this game, you'll need to study every character's moves, strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention the fundamentals.
Love this Jack. He's among the Top 3 coolest looking characters in Tekken 8.

Seeing the Jack and Yoshimitsu redesigns are always fun.
As you said Max, when the most forgettable character becomes memorable the game is heading in a good direction.

There's no way this version of Jack isn't gundam inspired; specifically by the Nu Gundam FF. That cannon is just the long range finn funnel. He even glows red like the Unicorn Destroy Mode, while Jack 7 was green like the final battle version. Someone in the design team is beyond based

Every character that has been shown has looked absolutely insane. I'm honestly excited for all of them.
With that said, I can't wait to see how Steve Fox plays when they finally put him in the game. Those slip dodges are going to be crazy.
Camera angle inside the Canon was dope.
Jack definitely got some Gigas moves and he also got some P.Jack moves as well. With the foward twisting punch and the twisting uppercut. So it’s safe to say that P.Jack and Gigas won’t be making it in. I’m hoping Lidia makes it in she’s a great oc for Tekken. Sadly AK probably won’t be making it in King was showing some attacks that looked similar to AK.
