Listening to this and staring at my Farrah Fawcett Majors poster. Ah, the 70s. What a time to hit puberty.
As I recall, there was an even longer version of this (16 minutes!), taking up a full side of an album.
This song exemplified the liberated idea of the 70's, the feeling that, since the 60's had been devoted to breaking down all the old rules and liberating society from the old social mores, the 70's should take advantage of the liberation and enjoy the new freedom.

I’ve heard it….it was mistakenly put on the record player at my friends sixteenth birthday party….I’ve never seen parents run so fast into a room🤣🤣🤣
17 minutes plus. Absolute classic. I was 7 when this came out. No internet and if you wanted to listen to the whole song, you would have to buy the record. Cannot remember when i heard the full version but it must have been many years later.
The reaction that K S O has to the song is hilarious. MacArthur Park Suite from 1978. (MacArthur Park / One of a Kind / Heaven Knows / MacArthur Park [reprise] ) clocks in at a similar time to LTLYB
A very genuine reaction. Well done
u have to listen from Donna herself the story behind the recording release and the what may you when she did the song,,,the interview is heres in Ytube....
And Donna came out of the 60's swinging lol
Her "I Feel Love" was a hot, racy one as well. What a voice on Donna!
There's nothing wrong with that song, it's the soundtrack of the 70's...
the most orgasmic song ever recorded
the only thing wrong is it's not the LONG😉 version
she know she like that moaning even females would get turned on come on now
LOL. I get a kick out of seeing people get so shocked and surprised and sometimes getting slightly or fully offended by it. It's just a song. A groovy song.
@@captainKbobkeeshanлюди стали лицемерами. Притворяются, что никогда не видели обнаженных мужчин.
Your facial expressions were worth the watch. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wonderful song!
LOVE your reaction!!! You had me laughing like crazy!
This song was part of my "education" at age 13 when this hit the airwaves in 1975. I barely knew what sex was back then but this song helped me figure it out.
This song was the soundtrack of a soap opera in Brazil in 1976.
You should look at the video interview about how she recorded this song. This was released on the radio while she was sick in the hospital. She was unaware of its release, and it being a hit.
I do believe this song was conceptualized by Donna, lyrically, based on the simple words, "I love to love you baby". She didn't want to sing the song. She wanted to give it to somebody else to do because it was too sexy of a song. However, eventually, the song was released without her knowledge, which resulted in her having to come to America to promote it. Donna often gives her songs character by acting them out. For this one, she imagined Marilyn Monroe as the song's character.
Yes, I thought to myself, 'O my goodness KSO is going to blush! This song was not allowed to be played at our roller-skating rink either! I was 10 years old when this came out and had no clue what this song was about! LOL! I know now! Amazing what songs played on the radio back in 1975! Enjoyed your reaction as always! ☮💕👍👏
The early 70's we're still like 60's with protests, hippies and Kent State etc. By 1973 the war was dying down. The political backdrop was Watergate, energy crisis, Roe vs Wade, ecology and yes sexual liberation. On TV Norman Lear brought the national debate into people's home with sitcoms "All In The Family", "Maude", "Good Times" and "The Jeffersons". There was a balance at that time between the old ways and the new. You could hear a sexy song and a religious song on the radio back to back. Top 40 radio was very eclectic. You'd hear the usual Pop, Rock and R&B but you could also hear instrumentals, novelty songs,Comedy,Classical, Country, Jazz, Bluegrass, Reggae, Spanish Language,Spoken Word and this new sound called "Disco" sprinkled into the mix.
Imagine being in the disco and asked to dance and THIS song comes on! AWKWARD! Been there, done that.😬
Oh please
@@dignerds 🤣
Omg….I never listened to this with my mum in the room! Donna was so very beautiful, and what a voice! Legend❤️❤️❤️ Lol….not a song l listen to without at least blushing😂
😂 😂 😂 Your best facial expressions:
3:00 "please, please..."😆
3:45 you lookin' at the monitor 😁
4:11 your horror expression 🤭
"Love to love you baby" (Donna Summer, 1975) >>>> "Justify my love" (Madonna, 1990)
To me, THE VERY BEST erotical song in music history 😉👌 I love you Donna ♥ 🕊
One of my favorite videos of you 😂 thanks for the reupload 💓
The 70s were all about expressing love when you make love with the person you love, and believe loves you back.
The 70's was a time when people minded their own business. People were more tolerant before the enforced "tolerance" of today. There was a general acceptance and respect for free speech, free thought and free choice. No one had to ram anything down your throat. If you liked something, cool if you didn't like something, also cool. There was also a general understanding of right and wrong and that happiness was something to strive for and the way to be. The general attitude was "you do your thing and I'll do mine". Now if you say something someone doesn't agree with you're taking your life and livelihood into your hands. People were making an effort to get along and understand each other. Common sense was still common. Peace ☮️
Omg I loved your reaction!!! Lol I didn’t expect it, I commented first before I’d listened and watched🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Lol! Oh we are both ladies who aren’t used to this level of sexiness in a public forum!🤣🤣🤣
Too funny... this song definitely came out of the sexually charged Disco underground. Tho extremely successful on radio. It hit #2 on Billboard Top 100 singles chart.
I don't remember hearing the song on the local stations at the time. It wasn't until 1979 that some of us younger kids(age 16) discovered it on a jukebox. Of course, we had to play it over and over. LOL
The album version is 16:50... I remember a friend telling me he and his girlfriend at the time, had conceived their first child while listening to my record of this. They were house sitting at the time while our family was out of town... teenager of the 70's. Perhaps any decade. 🤔😂
if you weren't in the mood in the beginning, Donna puts you there with ease ... every time
Great reaction Dear 😂 Yes! This was in heavy rotation on the radio then. I'll suggest another song with a similar vibe from about two years before this one. "Pillow Talk" by Sylvia(1973) 😀
This song was all over the place here in Sweden in the 70s. I don’t think people was so sensitive back then. That decade was wild, fun, crazy, hott, sexy…👌🥂😄👍❤️
Europe was all times different and much more free than America (Africa), think at Jane Birkin, Je taime moi non plus!
@@nelerhabarber5602 yes Jane passed away recently may she rest in peace.
@@nelerhabarber5602 I've heard it before
Yes Europe is liberal
Ooooo, I remember dancing to this back in the day......in the discos in London
Lol lol. Your reaction is priceless.
LOL
You gotta love the Moan Solo in the middle, lol.
Donna Summer was GREAT.
I heard a rumour that the oooh! ahh! sounds was from an actual adult movie.Well,if true are not,it worked.Song was a hit for Donna in 1975 LOL!😂😂
No, not true.
@@paul8926Good! I said I heard a rumour that it was, Nowhere did I say it true sir.😒
Giorgio Morodo said he closed the door, turned the lights down/off and nobody else was in the studio . Then he told Donna to just "let go".
I had to take a shower after this one!
Hi Kemi! 💖You should see the live version-not vulgar but she’s definitely “in the zone”.. lol Her song “I feel love” is another spicy one- “Hot Stuff” is a great dance hit of hers- 😘
I was 15 or 16 when this song came out i had quite a reaction to it
Well,Kieth Sweat has a song similar titled "In The Mood",but without Oooh ahhh! sounds, but it leaves nothing to the imagination 😂😂LOL!
That song isn't bad I have it saved on a playlist.
Ah that was funny, great reaction KSO 😆 lol
again I was shocked to see that expression on your face!!!!!
Too funny. This was all over the radio in the 70’s.
Love this one! In the show FRIENDS, Rachel dances and sings this naked in the apartment! Lol
It was different back in 1975. Don't believe it was radio worthy but many young men learned about sex ed just from this album. lol
Classic disco club music from back in the day. Queen of Disco! Studio 54! 1975.
If you think this is raunchy have a listen to Je t'aime moi non plus by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg which came out in 1972. After hearing that this will sound like a nursery rhyme 😆
Donna Sumner did an amazing disco version to the “Je t’aime (moi non plus) song, from the movie “Thank God it’s Friday”.
Oh sweet Jesus ! You look like you need to go repent your sins after listening to this jam! 😆
Am 61 and we were love to love baby in the clubs 💥💥💥💥♥️
I was in high school during this song. They played most of the song except the very end. This was one of her first hits. Boy did she get better songs.
I was 15 when this song was broadcast and like you I say to myself "Wow" but not for the same reasons. My "WOW" is how a person like you comes to say "WOW" not on the musical aspects of the song and its performance for that time. But a "WOW" that would say to you we regress as much as that, are we less free of our thoughts, of our emotions than in 1975?....
WAITTTTTT- This is a repeat right??? I so remember your embarrassed and shocked reactions!!!!!!!
Thank you to whoever liked this. At least I know I am not lising my mind
I always consideref this, audio porn. Back in the 70's, Wichita radio stations wouldn't play Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" because of the "SOB", but they play'ed this. Does that make any sense?
This was actually banned on most radio stations in the 1970s. It was incredibly controversial. After she joined the Jehovah's Witnesses she stopped performing this song.
But! She brought it back to her Playlist when I saw her in 2007 I think was the year
@@zanna90 she wasnt a Jehovah Witness. she was a born again cristian
This wonderful woman and her music helped me thru puberty. Your facial expression ...priceless.
I'm blushin'...
We all were the first time
This song is a Masterpiece!
4:08 that laugh was everything.
You’re so funny hahahaha. You felt second hand embarrassment 😂
Lot of babies were made on the 70s! 🥰
"I enjoyed the song a little...Embarrassed 😮"
I understand. After listening to 70's songs, I feel like...I need to take a shower.
Cute reaction and the laugh was my reaction when I first listened because I only knew of the song because of sampling this did cause a stir.
Great reaction love it
Strip Clubs, bath houses and lots of drugs, I believe. This is the first time I’ve heard this whole song because as I remember lots of radio stations wouldn’t play any part of this record.
That was great! You put those headphones down like they were dirty! 😂
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAA...... HAHAHAAA
The song was ban on a lot of radio stations here in the US but was huge in the disco clubs.
😅 best reaction I seen in a minute ! Keep it movin' !
Put your seat belt on for some groovy music love this one
This was a hit when I was in middle school. When I was studying while listening to it, my mother realized that it wasn't the song child would listen to! she got very angry and threw away the record. Later, when I was in high school, I bought the album again and enjoyed the full version. de gozaru !! 中学の時のヒットで聴きながら勉強していたら、子供が聴く歌ではない!と母上が激怒してレコードを捨ててしまった。 後に高校生になってからアルバムで買い直してフルバージョンを楽しんだでござる!!
Another similarly themed song is " Je t'aime, Moi Non Plus"
You listened to the short version. This is a llllloooonnnnggggggggg song. I remember Donna Summer saying she didn't sing this song at performances it drove people mad. I think one performance she ran out she was being chased.
The Seventies would be where we were coming off the psychadelic/protest era of the Sixties (yes there were some protests in the seventies as well). It's often called the Me Generation as well.
This was the short tame version......lol!
You are very daring to do a reaction video to this song. It came out when I was in junior high. Me and my friends couldn't hear it enough! They pulled it from the radio stations where I grew up for obvious reasons.
I see the moaning was almost to much 😆 she's having her moment
Yesterday when I was young by Roy Clark
Love sex freedom disco, for me it was born free and living free,I came out on my island in 1977, before there was such a thing as coming out and no regret, for a small British island in the Caribbean.
It is only the short version.
What about what we are allowed to listen to now days, this was classy in comparison, and the music was excellent!
Beyonce sampled this song for her hit "Naughty Girl".
Back in the early 70s wetr i lived this somg was banned from playimg over the radio . They didny let it play for twp to three years later
If it’s any consolation, Donna doesn’t like this version either. As a Christian she’s refused to play this for more than 40 years.
Yeah, after she left Casablanca Records and signed with Geffen she moved away from her sexy image and became a more straight ahead Pop and Rock singer.
This is indeed true. The record producers wanted to package her as a sexy singer, that’s not what Donna Summer wanted to be.
She died in 2006.
@@elevenbucks5682 She died 10 years ago, 2012.
I think i need the fan!
3:04 Please, please, don't do...😂🤪
When I was young by Eric Burdon
Hmm, wait until you hear Rick James' "Give It To Me, Baby"!
Anyway, somebody wrote that the 70s was about the "Me Decade" in contrast to the activist 60s! The return of soldiers from Vietnam, students blown away at Kent State, Roe V. Wade being passed, The Pill, Women's Lib, Soul Cinema, gas shortages, inflation and Watergate led to a sense of a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" national funk; as great events would take place alongside great setbacks! To cope with it all, people went to the discos, the more well off did Coke while everyone had lots of freaky sex! That was the 70s in a nutshell!
(A personal hilight for me was Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak starting the path toward making computers more accessible, because I'm old enough to remember how much harder things were before then...)
Roll Bounce set in the 1970's includes the song .
What were the 70's like? We had Nixon, Ford and Carter as Presidents. Stagflation, high unemployment, low stock prices, America was in decline. Except for great music, of all genres, playing on AM and FM stations coast to coast. That was some 'Hot Stuff' you 'Bad Girl' better clean those headphones off!
The women's liberation movement of the 70's allowed female performers to explore sexual topics in song just as men had been doing for decades. Admittedly, this song was over the top and was considered by some to be a novelty, but it did jump start a successful career for Ms. Summer. Turnabout is fair play.
It was banned in certain countries during that time.
Why do you think so many people smoked back then? After hearing this it was either a cold shower or a cigarette.
The early seventies was when much of the best long form progressive rock, and protest music was being created, while message songs were on the radio...until they weren't anymore, and disco took our brains and mouths away. The last half of the '60s and the first half of the '70s was a creative Mount Everest. When the war ended, so too ended much of the creativity. But the music helped to end the war.
HI, I LIKE YOUR REACTION, YOU HAVE TO REACT TO "I WILL GO WITH YOU" FROM 1999 (HAS VIDEO). SHE WAS A GREAT SINGER, SHE SOLD MORE THAN 150,000,000 RECORDS UNTIL HER DEATH IN 2012 (63), BYE!
Now do you see why you never heard this when you were young?
Ya, your parents had Donna Summer’s music, for sure. Everybody did. But what kind of parents would they have been if they let you hear it?
Me, I was left home alone a lot when I was in second grade with a system that speakers as tall as I was.
It’s okay dear. Lol. You will recover. Lol.

The song is actually longer than that.
There's a 17 minute version.
she made a song called Come With Me ??????? need i say more????
What do you think about the song if was an instrumental only?
I only know this version and yes it was very racy indeed.
Barry White and Diana Ross have some steamy songs,as well. Theres too many good ones to list.
😂
HAHAHAHA ☻
Yo have to react to the Live italian Tv verision from this ☺
That's the thing about disco was people were becoming more into exploring sexuality, drugs and party scene. Without disco the world would be a more repressed place
Thanks. How did this past the PG level???
There are several versions of this song but every different version that I heard there were moanings. I sure wouldnt play this when my parents were around lol
You should listen Cyndi Lauper's She Bop........ even worse :) LOL
You funny 😂😂😂😂
That’s pretty much after the 60’s protesting era. Disco porn industry started to take off and a lot of SEX AND DRUGS!. Check out movies about studio 54 in New York City. You’ll get it…😁
You didn't even hear the long version. This was clean compared to the long version.
