i once had a 147 GTA with the same engine. i miss that car so much. the car had character and was so damn fun to drive
i have a 147 1.6ts and dream about the gta every time i drive mine
@@malapumpa1605 you can swap it for 3.0 from 156 easily
@@wassilia1234 156 had only the 2.5 v6 24v, and the GTA

“Il violino di Arese”
love this car, still looks awesome 15 yrs after it came out.
These are going up in value. Buy them before it is too late...
I already own one and they are fun to drive and the sound is😍
Same as the focus rs mk1
never sold it,she is still in my garage with 17.000km
@@αντερεκαημενε jesus
The 156 and 147 GTA are expensive. These GT 3.2s not so much. I sold mine last year because it's impossible to get parts for these days.
The way Max said “Bertone” 🤣🤣
I owned a GT 2.0 before i bought my mito QV, still mis my old GT. Don't see them that often. The car makes you feel special between all the audi's,bmw's, vw's
How you found with 2.0 jts oil consumption?
@@AlexAlex-rz1nt trust me, its alot and it takes special 10w60 oil and not 5w40 or 10w40
@@Ziad-ww6tw I know, I used selenia 10w60 but the consumption was endless. But could be just my engine
@@AlexAlex-rz1nt if it still uses oil you should use liqui moly engine flush before the oil change to free up the pistonrings. Also put ceratec with the new oil. This limited the oil consumtion on my GT 2.0 JTS from 1l on 2000 km to 1l on 6000km. Try it! It really gonna work
@@Ziad-ww6tw it looks a good idea... I changed it with 3.2 cause I had lack of power in cylinders.
Nice review mate! I own a 2007 GT 3.2 too and wish I could have mine blasting on the Autobann. This is such as amazing car to drive and has the best engine note in the world!
Sometimes I wonder if I had waited just a bit longer, I might have gotten myself one of these instead of my current car: a 2003 Z4 3.0i (E85)
Same sort of performance but that Busso engine in comparison sounds awesome and revs pretty high - love that car !
Bravo to the owner and thank you @AutoTopNL 👏🏽
One of the best car tests I've seen. I really like that you show how the car is to drive in normal driving. Then you get a better understanding of the car's character than you get with just full throttle driving. You really show how alert and on Busson is all the time. then that you have access to Autobhan and can show a full throttle driving at top speed where the crown is on the work. thank you very much for your nice video. PS you drive exactly the same as me when I drive my Busso car. I also crank down the window at tunnels and gas on. 😁
Thanks AutoTopNL for the videos and the experience! Really nice lads and lovely videos of my car!
When it is about Alfa Romeo I'm watching from beginning to the end, no skip, no fast forward.
Thank You for all of your videos that you did. I am enjoying all of them
I've taken one to 260kmh easily
They're really powerful considering the age
Cars from that era were already modern.
@@alejandroperez5368 this is not a car from that era

@@doddsalfa this Alfa Romeo is from its era, and it's still modern. Your comment makes no sense. Bye creep
I also owned a GT, same colour, same rims. As GT QV Q2 JTDm. I miss this car every single day !
Man i freaking love alfa.. like i hope some day i own one of these work of art cars
Gorgeous. More Alfa!
I may not be a fan of Alfa Romeo but this one is a beauty!
you can say that to about 95% of alfas lol
Am I the only one who finds that the GT has a front end that looks like a Bugatti Veyron?
In any case, being an Alfa Romeo fan, it comes in my top 3 after the 8C.
Like the 147 GTA it's the last Alfa to have the REAL Italian V6 Busso and it's super fun to drive
Very awesome car! I´m surprised the cover of the passenger airbag is still in shape! I noticed those things got a habit of deforming a little, at Alfas from that time.
I had a black line 1.9 jtdm little different but so fun and smooth to drive, grab Ur self one if u can
Just very engaging cars. I'll take it over an I4 Giulia for sure.
Italian beast right there🙌🏾🇮🇹
Such a beautiful car.
“We are getting in front of that Audi” while it was a VW 😂
I also had to replay that moment just to make sure and I think Max was talking about the car in his mirror
what a car.. and what a presentation. amazing
There is always something to learn. Up to my info they were exiting the plant with 3.2 till 2005 as mine is, apearently not. Very good review. My is stock plus Q2 so drives and sounds a bit different. A bit slower but regarding the handling when everything is working properly it is doing good job even on the track. I agree with opinion about gear changing. It is possible to set it properly but these cables are not good solution and you can hardly find them now. In case of failure do not use cables from 6speed diesel nor 2.5v6 cause they are different. There are comapnies preparing new cables with use of old elements - this is better option if you can't find original. I am impressed by 100-200 times - no pre 2010 car on the list and Hyundai N slower. Ok I was able to beat on the trak some Golf Rs even but this was slow and curvy track. Regarding prices let's see. Now almost everything which is thisty can have a hard time. In principle well maintained and good looking GT v6 can be even more expensive than moderate GTA. And...small bonus... it is faster on the track stock vs. stock :)
Great review ❤
Beautiful car.
Love this engine I'm just about to engine swap one into my 159 thats got the 2.4 diesel in atm
Very beautiful engine 👌🏻
My dream car when I was a kid...
PERFECT AMAZING FANTASTIC
is that a Glashutte Sea Q?? great vid BTW, there's not much out on this awesome car
Just purchased a 3.2 q4 939 spider. Its unbelievable
...a bit funny to see how huge engine moves small car...pretty cool😊👍
I'm very surprised you say the front end is not communicative. I have a 1.8TS GT with stock suspension and I can tell exactly what the front is doing. Maybe something to do with the aftermarket suspension in combination with the very heavy engine
Must be suspension. I've driven my friends Q2 diesel many times which has heavy engine also, for grip and feel its one of the best FWD cars I've ever driven, right up there with the older Hondas in my experience.
@@DaveSpecC nice avatar!!
@@ardonjr back at you man! 😁
I've had a V6 and currently own a JTS - the JTS does handle much better. The front is lighter, the steering rack is a little bit more talkative and the car feels a lot more eager to turn in. The V6 is a point-and-shoot machine, the 4 cylinder cars have the handling finesse. Also the turning circle is MUCH better, the V6 struggles to turn 90 degrees in certain car parks.
@@Strike86 turning circle is better on jts, because it have different steering gear what is caused by big brembo brake system and steering points (i don't know that im using correct word for this part of steering system).
The most beautiful alfa
I am driving mine from Geelong to Canberra via Mt Panorama tomorrow 😊
Quite a machine 😊👍
Pre face-lift had smaller front headlights and the triangular grill was smaller too. My dad had one it was lovely
That's not true, the GT was never 'facelifted'. They only changed the chrome finish on the grille and blacked out the headlights on certain models.
I think you must be confusing it with the 147 which it shares most of its chassis with.
@@Strike86 💯✅
04:45 I wouldn't dare to push those coin and cup holders :))))
Ok i changed my mind i'm getting this beast loving the purring it does
I have GT 3.2 with lot of mods, before had two 156es with 2.5 v6, now thinking about rx8, i saw that you drived both, can you tell me your opinion about this cars when compare them. Thank you very much.
Nice car bro
Ale to zapierdala❤️❤️❤️
Maybe if you can find a skoda superb (2012) with a 3.6L V6 N/A engine that would be cool
Skoda and cool don't fit in the same sentence.
@@xandeo you should drive one of those🙂
@@randomcontent2469 Perhaps great mechanically... but from the image and the brand itself, no thanks. Simply not interested.
@@xandeo speak for yourself.
If you want 3.6 vr6 and cool to be in the same sentence, make sure the car is a VW CC not a Skoda Superb.
I'd like to see you taking for a drive a Ford Focus ST 170
Which year is that Alfa Romeo ?? And I'm thinking to buy the 2005 version around 3000-3500 euros . Is it a good price guys ?? Please let me know immediately .
Most beautiful engine ❤
Heb ooit een 147 gehad.. interieur is echt identiek. Grappig.
🔥🔥🔥❤
Would love to buy one, but these are already going up quickly
you should do a review on alfa romeo 156 2.0 twinspark
Magnífico 🔥🔥🔥
😀😀😀
Why the Alfa I want, 156/159, are the most hated ones? Always wanted a 156 GTA! We never got them in the states.
Because they are not RWD. I have the 159 and it's a great car, but simply FWD.
Who told you they were hated 🤔 the 156gta is a legend
The 159 still looks awesome even today
The Alfa 156 won car of the year. So hardly hated. But they depreciated heavily. Nowadays you rarely see one of them on the street or even offered for sale. If you are looking to buy one, there are maybe 3-6 on offer in all of germany. And the chance of a ropy one is not slim.
I just love these cars. My dad had an 166 and I currently own two 156s, one with a 1.8 TS engine and the other with a 2.5 busso v6.
Shame that there is such a thing as separated markets for cars. I guess you could import one at some point. But it'll be probably too late by then
I owned 156 2.5v6 before, i love that car,
Ima get one quick
I like it … really !
ive got one of those cars......he no lie!
Italian cars still beat german cars. To the day
Owned one!! Still a very sexy car!!
holy molyyy
Alfa ❤️
Each of my four Alfa 166 3.2 reaches 260 km/h (according to the speedometer ;-)
Wow at 0:55 when you stand up it looks like that's a toy car or rather you are a giant.
Pretty cool Alfa it's quite quick for a naturally aspirated engine the Quadrifoglio is way better though
And BMW is better
Yeah much better I like the New G80 M3 Competition it’s sick I saw on earlier today on the road in grey it looked not bad
@@stevepugzz3477 i've seen the BMW with that grille but i still don't like it.
@Jens yeah your right that grill doesn't look that good it's not bad but it would probably look better if it was in black or something
@@stevepugzz3477 yeah, i agree. The rest of the car is pretty nice though.
I must agree whit top gear, the back of the GT is horrible.
Also I was about to buy a 2.0 version of the car, the owner the day before the purchase (luckily for me) got the engine broke....but yes it's still a nice car
Splendid car, I have a gt jtd. Very satisfied.

beautiful car for this money x) (y)
Want u to make Alfa 156 selespeed or twin spark
Just to put you right mate some of the GT cloverleaf 1.8 TS has the Q2 diff ?? well mine does lol
Can you drive 156GTA?
That did seem quite a bit faster than expected. Btw I still want AutoTopNL Hat/Tshirt :)
Hell yea! And it has to say ‘Holy Moly’ on them!
It's quick as stock with no software or engine tuned. If you change engine balance you can get back the loss with a good map but it goes pretty the same.
the Q2 diff had only the Q2 and the Ducati Corse editions
I really miss the 15 seconds of auto top nl
I want those wheels...
Please make a sound check from outside
I ponder on it and Hyundai Coupe 2.7 V6. Hyundai is a bit more practical has no mechanical issues but they do rust a bit. But alfa would just sound better, handle better, be more powerful and is just so lovely looking...I am a bit torn. Shifter feel seems like a turn off but maybe it can be fixed with some after market parts. Hyundai has fully mechanical throttle still and isnt slow at all tho with 2.7 seennit do 7s to 100km/h in tests instead of specsheet 8,5.
Yaaaa
Imagine if it was RWD.
they‘d be worth double the €€
bmw 330Ci E46
Ugh the FWD was annoying and because of the heavy V6, it would understeer as hell. The Q2 diff helped though. I do miss the sound of that V6
That's the only thing I don't like about Alfas is they love FWD i wish they had some AWD or RWD
@@Jo-gu9st really great car but not the same soul. 😉
This car isn't from 2008.
It's a 2007. You can sea it when you check the license plate.
Remember: you cant be a petrol head without owning an Alfa!
There must be something wrong with the front arms becaus Alfa have a very very sharp handling and feeling
rombante come una vera alfa romeo
Everyone should own a Alfa once in their life, and experience all the different warning lights comming on now and then😉
fucking love Alfa Romeo :)
You didn't own one right? They're mechanically awful 😅
The new Giulia and Stelvio are good but the other/older models have too much gas consumption and something always breaks
@@sayonaraos7750 I own a Giulietta atm and fell in love with the brand, Julia in a few years probably:) so far no problems, fuel consumption could be better but its still less than a bmw I used to have with similar engine
@@sayonaraos7750 Obviously you didn't own one.. I've owned multiple.. it all comes down to maintenance. If you slack on maintenance.. yes something will break..
@@sayonaraos7750 Alfa Romeo’s are like any other car if you look after it it’ll look after you. All this nonsense talk that they are unreliable and always break are complete ballshit

Use 100 octane fuel:-)
@@AlexAlex-rz1nt Why 100? I use 95
@@ukaszbendlin5571 because its a high compression engine
@@ukaszbendlin5571 as Ziad said, that's high compression engine, something like 11/11.5 comparing to 10/10.5 of 3.2. So you feel even a better difference using not 95 fuel. When I owned 2.0jts it looked really another car with 100.
