Damn, this is amazing, and how easily you play. i was never the best halo players - i used to play ranked on halo 3, but it was very hard to keep my rank (eg i couldnt evolve over Gunnery Sergeant). and watching this blows my mind. thanks for the memories and this amazing run. you really reminded me one of my happiest moments of my life, when i first met halo 1 when i was a little kid.
From what I know, what happens there is the bansee crushes you, but cant kill you, and since the game really doesn't want to put 2 objects in the same space, it sends you flying somewhere else
Kevaca is right. As for why it TPs him there, he's aligning the banshee and melees pretty precisely. It will move him relative to the position and angle of the banshee. The position he ends up in isn't special (not like he's going to the origin on the map or a spawn point or anything), it's all in the location of the setup. If you're off by a small angle, you'll be WAY off over that large distance.
I actually dont know the run well but are you supposed to do that much fighting in h2? in a lot of sections it seems like you just decide to start killing guys
