Because it was drowned by pop and atonal garbage music instead of being a part of the greatest modern art of the 20th and 21t century. Classical music is underrated generally franlkly speaking.
I know. About on par with the hardest pieces from Chopin/Listz. And by hard, I mean harder than Fantasie Impromptu and the Revolutionary Etude. I'm thinking Winter Wind, the Torrent Etude, etc.
