      @SteFly 3 года назад

      The Std. Cirrus is also a great glider and at the moment the best glider for the buck! I don´t like the all flying tailplane which is a little bit tricky and you always need to have one hand at the stick. You also feel every air movement in the Std. Cirrus aswell as in the LS3. The empty weight of the LS3 is higher and combined with the flaps, the performance at higher speeds is better.

    Hast du deine ASG 29 noch? Warum fliegst du bei der WGC in der Clubklasse mit?

    • @SteFly
      @SteFly 3 года назад +3

      Die ASG29 wird mein Bruder vermehrt fliegen. Nachdem ich mich mit der Std. Libelle für die DM qualifiziert hatte, bin ich dann auch die Clubklasse DM geflogen. Mir macht es sehr viel Spaß mit den älteren Flugzeugen unterwegs zu sein. Man muss morgens im Wettbewerb kein Wasser tanken und generell sind die Piloten jünger ;) Sollte dieses Jahr die 18 m DM stattfinden, werde ich dort teilnehmen.

    Stefan, If you would concider yourself having a instrument panel made out of CFG, contact the company where I work and we could make it 😉
    Company is Albatross-fly in Slovenia.
    Very nice glider though 😉

    Why not have a deployable electric self lauching glider. It makes it more independent and perhaps safer. Just the cost and maintainance might be an issue

    Thats a strange transition, from a ASG 29 to an LS 3 ,normaly Stefan it would be in the opposite direction ?

    • @SteFly
      @SteFly 3 года назад +1

      It's not a transition, it's an add on. I love flying club class gliders 😃

    Why not LS 3a?

    • @SteFly
      @SteFly 3 года назад

      At club class competitions you want to be heavy without water. And I heard that the glide performance is slightly better at the LS3. Honestly I never flew a LS3a, so I can´t tell you from my own experience.
