I really appreciate your clear explanation of the two distinct parts of the luteal phase. I have always experienced the pre-menstrual part as a preparation for menstruation, as you say, and distinct from the time after ovulation. It makes sense, when you talk about the corpus luteum and its role in preparation for pregnancy, why the two parts of the luteal phase are so different in quality.
thanks for your feedback. Yes I don't understand why the two distinct parts of the luteal phase are not presented separately either! I am glad that you find this helpful. I always felt the 2 distinct phases and a switch.. and it was a revelation when I realised how much changes when the corpus luteum "dies" or "degenerates and is transformed".
I didn't know much about this phase until now. This would explain this week's irritability, craving soup for the nutriment and warmth, and been really going inward. Thank you ✨
I am happy that you found my explanation of this phase helpful.. One of the reasons I made this video is because I feel it is a phase which is not understood. When I teach health practitioners and I ask them what the role of the corpus luteum is, and how long it lasts if there is no implantation of a fertilised egg, most people don't know!!! It's amazing how much and also yet how little we know about our bodies!.....And yes, the first part of the luteal phase is an inward time!...
