I have been using Helix,Match /Brax for years in my Audis,VWs and BMWs, I would buy the German made I7s. They don't have a lot of dealers, but there are a few on the East Coast. It is all I buy these days...ETON is another speaker I might buy. "MSC America" is the American distributor for Helix/Match/BRAX/ Audiotech Fischer. I have this subs arround 4 months. This subs do a great job with MatchUp 10 DSP. But in my opinion i need more power for this subs. 160 Watt RMS is a little bit to low. I think 250 Watt RMS is good for this two subs.
I’m thinking about pulling my up10 and going with the k8 since you can get way more power @ 2ohms on the “sub” channels and I’ll have a channel for a front sub for tie in duty

I have two JL 12’s in the trunk in a potted box and one audio mids paired with Steven’s tweeters I was gonna buy these for the midbass in the doors, or should I use the one audio 8’s? I’m looking for a little compensation in the lower midbass to balance out the ported subwoofers so I’m really looking for tight crisp lower midbass, which do you think would be the better choice? I’m also considering the stereo integrity TM8’s
Is it a 2way? If yes, then these won't work. They play only up to 200+250hz. If you are talking. About one audio WB3.e, then these will do the job, however the results will depend on the door application.
I'd be curious on the difference in sound and attack/impact for normal vs inverted mount with these because there is virtually no cone exposed on the back side, it's covered with the spider.
@RAW-CAt Just from reading the specifications, what do you think of the ESB BMW Sub 1? Compared to the Helix it has a smaller mounting depth, larger voice coil (63 mm), higher sensitivity (89.5 db), higher excursion (9 mm), lower Fs (41 Hz)

Hi, I have a G11 with a Match 8DSP (8BMW) with a kicker amp and 12” down firing L7. With the car being heavily insulated I would be really interested to see what difference a proper tune can make compared to the tune available for download from the Match website. Hey I have Ground Zero Nuclear 6 Inch midwoofers they are rated at 150watts rms I think and are mounted in the doors. I have a amp that delivers exactly the 150 watts. They have an Fs of 43 I think and xmax 12 mms so they should be capable to be crossed at 60hz 24db lr and full send them. But I don’t know why they start to distort so fast. Like at 90db they start to make wired sounds like thumping. It is hard to explain but could it be that the gain is to high ? In my dsp they are at -6db summed. So they should get only little amounts of power but it feels like the power is distorted
If the driver is distorting, either there is too much power or the crossover is too low. I would not cross a 6.5in driver lower than 80Hz 24dB. Regardless of what the manual says. 60Hz crossover is only for 8in drivers.
Those drivers don't have 12mm of xmax maybe peak to peak or xmech so you are expecting too much. Some 6.5's can handle 65 or 70hz but 60hz is asking alot of all but the world's best drivers like Purifi or Scan Speak.
