@conlazycat All Audi models are being tested in a 12-year aging process that only takes 19 weeks , with salt and under 100% humidity and below 0 celcius . Rest assured , my dad's Audi A4 had been around for 2 years already and so far we don't have any problems with it .
I have driven the A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Audi TTS, Audi R8, Q7 and Q5. Believe me this is the very definition of a well built car. I never had any! problems what so ever. You just drive your Japanese boxes and be jealous on your own.
1) If you buy it new, you get what you pay for. If you don#t want to pay the full price buy one second hand. Second hand German cars are just as reliable as they were when they were new (even more reliable in fact if you buy one with 50,000 miles on it). 2) There's a good reason why they don't have touch screens. Instead of leaning forwards to do something on the nav you can have a knob right next to you with simple controls to control everything. Touch screen + a car = not a very good result.
@GameMaster2565 Please, even a USED Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2011 is over 100 grand. So unless you have thousands of dollars lying all over your floor, you're gonna be highly reluctant to part with them for that ordinary porsche when you can get a FULLY modified A8 for the same price of over 100 (~116) grand even with all the technologies, performance upgrades AND even armor plating and bullet proof glass.
@conlazycat scince it an audi no.Audi staff actally take them for testdrives to see if the car's have any problems so they do,audi will imidiatly fix the problems.
I don't see your point in this argument. Mind explaining why exactly VW/Audi haven't been so great in the last few years when everyone knows that they are pure quality and won't get a single tear or scratch as long as you're a normal person and know how to take care of a car? Keep in mind they do a ton of quality checks on their materials and trust me Audi/VW seek perfection. Their cars are perfect. How do I know this? I'm a proud A8 owner and unlike you I know how to take care of a car.
Beetle = Budget car. Understand that. And they're still extremely well built. How your friend managed to get that door handle off is beyond me as VW do extensive tests on every component and if they fail, they fail. They don't get to the final vehicle. Now, the only way I can imagine your friend pulling it off is that she pulled it too hard (is she blonde?). There's no other possible way of it just breaking off. Again, cool story bro but it's bullshit. Nice try though.
the reasons i wont buy a german car are 1) they are over priced compared to what they cost in germany....and 2) no touch screen????? really???? a dumb phone i bought for 50 bucks has a touch screen....they say that ergonomics is a priority but still make us rotate through stupid knobs to input letters rather than tap it on the screen...shows why everone buys a camry in the US
You're a bag of laughs dude. It was her mistake for not taking care of her car properly (and being a she you'd expect that) and the fact that the door handle came off and the transmission had to be replaced twice backs that fact. Again, what car company would sell a car without checking if everything's perfect? The only way those 2 things could have happened is if the owner did it, whether it was done purposely or not. Therefore, your statement about VW being cheap is untrue.
if i am a kid then your must be in ur 90's...shit now i get the whole hatred for technology...GRANDPA, maybe you need new glasses before you can go your daily killing spree with you 70's audi
@BadgerinSC that actually decreases insurance in most countries... a built massive visible screen in your car is the number one reason why thieves break into cars... on a personal side note, when I'm driving on a motorway at night, far better to pop the screen down, it does not distract or hurt your eyes this way, unlike the sclass or the 7 series
The materials that Audi/VW use in their car can believe it or not be compared with those used in a Rolls. I have had a chance to get in a Rolls and drive it around and trust me there's not that much of a difference except that in a Rolls you know that you're in an expensive car. You just got that 'Rollsy' feeling.
@chewchewg Just curious, how much experience have you had with Audi's nav? VW is Audi, so it makes sense that the two share some design features. You may as well say that my lincoln looks like a ford, "boring too simple... bad job Ford did."
@Dalit5 They are, i'm an owner of a car just like this, i'm 6'1 tall and fit in perfectly. This car is the best thing you can get that's elegant, modern, subtle yet with a flare.
Audi, Jag, Porsche, BMW, they're the most common brand names you hear around. Wanna know why? Because a lot of people own them. Now no shit you're going to hear about more problems in Audis, Jags, Porsches and BMWs because more people have bought cars from those brands than any other brands. The cars that break down are mostly 20 years old. When it comes everything you look for in a car, those companies are the ones that others compare their cars to because currently they're the best.
Don't you think most cars would have touch screen right now if it was a good option? I think so. Like I said, there's a good reason why they use a simple knob rather than a pointless touch screen. Yes it's good in phones but it's no good in cars.
dont knw why we cant have both....its pointless to have a touch screen on bmw but its possible on this one...the only reason i want a touch screen is that its quicker to input an address...i hate that u have to find every letter with a knob (like those 80's telephones) and the voice commands suck as usual....but i really do miss those days when everything was an actual button rather than stupid commands on a screen
Um no, it's spelled "Aluminum" here in the United States. In other places (I don't want to be specific because I might offend people), it's spelled Aluminium. On some periodic tables you will see it presented as aluminum, and others as aluminium.
I have had a 5 audi A4 so far i would say they are more reliable then your honda head can imagine. This is not an offense towards you its just the litle true thing that you will not understad and you probably even don't want to. My personal experience says you like honda at least some part of it and would love to get any german car but you cant even admit it becouse you have been telling your self that these cars are bad... The end
OK. First of all, the screen would get fingerprints. And that's something you don't want to see. Second, you would type much slower simply because touch screen isn't designed for cars. You'd have to bend your wrist back and concentrate on which letter you're typing in, that sucks. A knob is much easier to use. You're just one of those kids that think touch screen is cool so it should be everywhere. Well, it doesn't work that way. A knob and buttons is the best way to navigate in a car. End here.
jajajjaj this was funny, Swift youre right, a knob is a lot better than a touchscreen for example jaguar uses touchscreens, but germans prefer the knob, i have an audi a6 and the knob is better for the stereo and everything in general, it would be very stupid to put a touchscreen just for the nav when voice control works great in the latest german cars, im sorry for that kid, jajajaj return to your iphone, i bet you dont have a car or havent drive a properly premium car monkeymanprophecy, jajaja
sorry buddy, but no one buys german cars for reliability. you can be concerned about reliability if you want, but most people shopping german cars, arent.
The presentation is too commercial, the car is merchandise. Even after 10 years did not encounter major problems. By the way conlazicat, this topic is not for you.
its not what you do with ur hands (sigh, so many jokes...) but your line of sight is that affects how you drive your car...and buying a car just for touch screen is retarded, but its something u would expect outta a 100K+ car....its so much easier to touch ur options rather than move around with a stupid knob (the reason why phones today have touch screen)...really, think about it
Actually, Audi makes some of the least reliable cars. They always have problems. Jaguar, Porsche, Audi and then BMW... They all make some of the least reliable cars.
its great to hear from a local driver
@conlazycat All Audi models are being tested in a 12-year aging process that only takes 19 weeks , with salt and under 100% humidity and below 0 celcius . Rest assured , my dad's Audi A4 had been around for 2 years already and so far we don't have any problems with it .

this guy is such a salesman.
Audi is cool !
Touch screen nav is really underrated.
It feels slightly similar. Although I agree the Rolls is still better. Like I said, in the Rolls you get that 'Rollsy' feeling.
i will own this in 2020 !
Some day and 2020 is here :D
2019. 06. 25.
wow i would definetely buy this audi, like it more than the s-class or 7 series to bad i cant even afford standing near ths cars
why does Audi put their engine way in front of the front wheels. its kinda like a front wheel drive with the weight distribution. nice car though
would you recommend me buy one with 114K miles? please help me
Absolutely Yes.
@@goodsaheed70 thanks for your input
I going to pay 10.5k tomorrow what u think about the price?
@Tohafat haha and he felt cold lol
1) If you buy it new, you get what you pay for. If you don#t want to pay the full price buy one second hand. @dROzPhreSh I have to agree with you man.... its got everything.....:)
@GameMaster2565 do you even realize the price tag.
@GameMaster2565 Please, even a USED Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2011 is over 100 grand. i thought this car was more of a 60,00 but 80,000 or 90,000 thats a lot but shoot i wouldnt mind livin in it
audi will forever by playing catch up to the worlds foremost, long-standing, best selling and best built luxury limousine; the Mercedes S-class.
It's not a matter of where you're from, it is a matter of ignoring letters.
steering wheel looks like a toy in his hand, he's a big guy
@conlazycat scince it an audi no.Audi staff actally take them for testdrives to see if the car's have any problems so they do,audi will imidiatly fix the problems.
not all people have 90k to spend
for that price i would just get a porche
I don't see your point in this argument. It doesn't have an 'aloominum' body it has an 'aluminium' body.
It would be really freaky if it were someones elses finger you were writing with... :P
And if you are left handed you wont write a thing
its the fourth edition... kinda lost interest after that mistake.
Nice way to exclude all the lefties, Audi.

That cars in USA are so damn cheap comparing to for example Europe...
Cheap? Are you filthy rich or something?
borin ;looks
Depends where you're from, ignorant shit.
A 100K car with a goofy pop up screen. FAIL. Integrate the bloody thing.
i have noticed you americans car reporters how much you love your sun glasses.it is very annoying, also you look so ugly!!!!
The view at 4:11 really reminds me of an S-class!
@BadgerinSC that actually decreases insurance in most countries... a built massive visible screen in your car is the number one reason why thieves break into cars...

well done, was thinking when the next review would happen. 28-30 mpg does this mean the gas guzzler tax is gone?
@MrClrg You can actually drive 65-85 mph on rural interstates here although I'm sure it's nothing like 260 km/h.
@Dalit5 They are, i'm an owner of a car just like this, i'm 6'1 tall and fit in perfectly.
This car is the best thing you can get that's elegant, modern, subtle yet with a flare.
if i dont have this car on my shopping list im making a mistake???...is not being able to afford it an excuse?
I would get the last gen audi a8 I just like the front a lot more.
hmmm that 3 point thing of a turn ... is just a matter of habbit.
ON MY SHOPPING LIST next to the civic and corolla
this is not on my shopping list... because i cant afford it
well you can now in 2017 since the 2011 model can be had for 20-30k :)
@itsTiLER many ppl..

@itsTiLER Where i live, most people can't aford even new A4. ;)
Saw one at the autoshow and the damn thing was $109,000 !!!!
...Great car, but come on Audi.
dont knw why we cant have both....its pointless to have a touch screen on bmw but its possible on this one...the only reason i want a touch screen is that its quicker to input an address...i hate that u have to find every letter with a knob (like those 80's telephones) and the voice commands suck as usual....but i really do miss those days when everything was an actual button rather than stupid commands on a screen
its a really nice car but the exterior styling is too conservative IMO...
Um no, it's spelled "Aluminum" here in the United States. In other places (I don't want to be specific because I might offend people), it's spelled Aluminium. On some periodic tables you will see it presented as aluminum, and others as aluminium.
wtf hes complaining about haveing to shift when parking?
@itsTiLER actually most people cant... lol
3:17 ... thats what she said!!!
LED display shows gear position, look at clocks, lol
Id take this car over any BMW AND MERC. any day anywhere. always!
Audi A8 IS A ENTERPRISE SHIP COMPARED TO OTHERS.(7 and S)
He is just resting his leg up high...
This is more of a commercial than a review. He didn't bring up any cons besides the shifter.
it's the 4th edition..
not 3rd
the first thing he said about the shopping list. so degrading. SOME PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD THAT CAR!
lol@ reverse
I'm not a big fan of the exterior as well... It's not that ground breaking.... Looks kinda plain...
You're so funny I forgot to laugh. By the way, writing grandpa in capitals isn't going to make you look 'tougher'.
I have had a 5 audi A4 so far i would say they are more reliable then your honda head can imagine. LOL one big audi fanboy!. :))
Cool story bro. You're clearly making that shit up. Seriously, if you don't like VW then why are you commenting on an Audi video?
spend 90 grand and chicks just walk by without even noticing..... im going with GTR then.....
@232323232321 wtf. nice english
sorry buddy, but no one buys german cars for reliability. you can be concerned about reliability if you want, but most people shopping german cars, arent.
@conlazycat audi reliable no its not man problems come fast this is not BMW
@chewchewg you are just jelous beacuse you can't afford one.
The presentation is too commercial, the car is merchandise.
Even after 10 years did not encounter major problems.
By the way conlazicat, this topic is not for you.

UGLY CAR THE ONE OLDER IS MUCH BETTER LOOKING
