I have a 50 year old 25 foot sailboat. The outboard motor is one of the last things that I have not renewed. I have been thinking of going electric for some time, and your Videos have been exactly what I needed.

I'm building a electric Cat boat only 5 meter long with a catemaran shaped haul to reduce drag and resistance in the water and thereby less power needed as I'm going electric. #IWANNAWIN - Thanks for the Inspiration, if I win I will put this to good use

Thanks for the feedback and comment. I am going for aluminium build to be as light as possible and it will be a baby vessel only about 5 meter length and 2,3 m outer width, so my calculations and aim is to be below 200kg in dry weight with floor reinforcement etc. plus engine, batteries and others equipment it will of course add up. Important this is to stay and low as possible for the electric engine to be able to carry the load. Keep up the good work bringing new futuristic coverts and inventions to your channel

What is the motor voltage, size, controller and where did you buy them? I have an old 4HP Johnston outboard that I would like to convert to 48 volts. I already have a 14s, 2.5 kWh lithium battery.

Have a donor 7.5 ready to go, my sons really into electrical engineering, he already has a design from your videos, I’m in Australia if that’s a problem
Good stuff! A 7.5 is a perfect donor! Relatively light weight, but plenty of beef as not to strip the gearbox😅

En liten notis bara. Den här motorn gör sig inte särskilt bra till airboats!!!
Istället rekommenderar vi den här motorn: marsons.se/product/amv-1/
Den har mer kraft, och i synnerhet vrid än den andra motorn, och är därmed bättre anpassad till ändamålet. Den kyls dessutom bättre pga den öppna designen, och kommer således kunna köras hårdare.

My brother, sister and I recently acquired our first boat, a tiny classic from 70s called hille cameo. It’s a mess so we’re gonna do a complete rebuild but that was the plan and it was cheap😅 While researching I’ve stumbled upon your channel. You’re doing amazing stuff. I love it. It’s exactly what I needed to convince myself that I’d like to go electric.
