V's personality, being the human side of Vergil no longer repressed, confirms something about Vergil's character that I absolutely love; underneath the many, many layers of trauma and cold seriousness, Vergil is a gigantic fucking _dork._ I love it.
It was hinted at in DMC3, with Vergil meeting Arkham while quietly reading in a library and Vergil readily explaining things to a mostly indifferent Dante. But DMC5 really shows Vergil as dork with an artistic soul.

Just like how griffon wants to stop the poetry and yet ends up extending it. so... maybe it was intentional... who knows.

V is essentially just vergil removed from his demonic soul, where "urizen" is just all his anger, frustration and trauma, V is his character and passion.

Also, this game (series) is the main reason i got myself the divine comedy and... im not through yet, but i dont regret buying it. It is an amazing read... even though a bit difficult considering the version i have is written in the style of the time, so there are no quotes to indicate someone is talking. So it always takes me a sentence or two to realize vergil is addressing dante, or vice versa.

I think that when V reads the Infant Joy poem at 0:33, Dante is probably already putting the pieces together in his head. Dante acts silly and immature like 97% of the time but he is decently smart (Was suspicious that Nero is Vergil's son when they first meet and was certain after seeing how Yamato reacted). If the William Blake book V carries is the same one that Vergil had as a kid I think it's pretty likely that Dante has heard Vergil reading that poem or at the very least he surely recognizes the book. V could have even been using that line as a subtle hint to Dante though he starts most conversations by reading one of the poems and like 30 seconds later straight up just tells him it's Vergil.
