Those nova corps were so valiant in that scene......bless those valiant pilots..they knew who they were facing yet they went to delay as much as they could the dreaded accuser....
lsebastian9086 Dude...it's just a film...😂
I know...but fiction can inspire the best of us
I think it's supposed to be best in us.
All I can think of when I saw this scene was the "Charge of the Light Brigade", had no idea why
They're protecting their homes and families.
This scene literally brought my to tears in the theater when I saw it, and it still makes me cry. Bless the people that made this movie because that scene is beautiful.
It wasn't that good
MrTehRave No, you're wrong. It was that good.
It was hysterically stupid i almost cried.
This scene was bullshit. First why the fuck would you need a police force to be abel to do a united forcefield.
Secound why did the enemy fighter did not shoot from behaind on them. Its so... dumb.
@@key7817 Fucking moron the Ravagers were dealing with the fighters.
This was the one scene that elevated the movie so much for me. I love all the comedy and the characters, but this scene, something wells up inside me every time.
I find it awesome that Xandar and Nova Corps exist as a fully fucnctioning highly advanced society yet our heroes on earth have no idea it exists. Except for maybe Thor. This is what great about the MCU. As an audience we know what's "out there" amongst the cosmos yet majority of the avengers have no idea. Just what they saw in the first avengers movie is their first interaction with aliens above.
"I'm just a man in a can" - Tony
Endgame.
Thor knows, trust me he heard what happened to Xandar when Thanos attacked.
I wish Tony knew about them...It would've given him some peace of mind knowing there are many brave and kind extraterrestrials who are working to protect the innocent . 😖
@@bangtansugakookies1550 true😭
Not one of those Nova Corps pilots hesitated. Not one.
T Simpson bravery at its finest
can’t wait for the nova movie
T Simpson not one had a helmet. Not one.
yellowGalaxy25 helmets in space battles are for cowards
Batsmack Luke Skywalker😂
This scene was so extremely powerful. Nova Corps protecting their home with their lives. True heroes. Everytime I see this scene it feels like the first time. Fascinating!
How brave were the Pilots in this scene. I like to liken it to Death himself standing right in front of them saying; "You stay here, and don't run, you will die. You'll hold me and the death of your planet of for a few minutes and then you will die. Whats the point?"
All of them know this. Yet. The Nova Corps Response from 8000 pilots: "Locked in."
Words of a group who are sticking their collective middle finger in deaths eye and laughing. Even fictionally, I can respect that.
Conor Wilson I rarely reply to comments, mainly because they contain nonsense. But in your case, reading this and listening to the video gave me epic goosebumps.
Guardsmen die standing...
Why are these people so different from Nova??
Rift Walker
comicbook character? Because Nova is actual superhero and would be too OP for powerlevel of all characters in the film... except hammer dude:\
Likely they'll introduce actual Nova as an upgraded equipement to keep up with diminished numbers after Nova Corps are raped to death by Thanos in next movie.
thaaaat was a lot more than eight thousand
When Guardians of the Galaxy is more Star Wars than.......well Star Wars. 😁
How DARE you!!!!!
Just kidding, great scene. :)
.... they had no capital ships. The holy balance of space battels were interruptes. Its always Capitel plus fighter vs capital plus fighter. I were not amused that day.
I know I'm gonna get hate for this but... I like Guardians Of The Galaxy (and just Marvel in general) more then Star Wars
kelly wilson whitehead You're not alone
kelly wilson whitehead Considering that the Force Awakens was just a literal HD remaster of the first StarWars film, I don't blame you.
I’m still pissed that we didn’t get this in endgame. When the ship blasters started blasting the sky and tony asked Friday “what are they firing at” and Friday answers “something just entered the atmosphere”
A part of me wanted so bad for it to be nova and what little remains of the corps. Would have been the most badass introduction.
Richard Rider in Endgame would’ve been a wonderful introduction to the Nova Force in the MCU
Well thanos being thanos just destroy the entire military of nova corp
Yeah true what a missed opportunity
Thanos or someone said he wipe out Xandar so Nova Corps didn't come to rescue
Love how the first ship lines up right on the accuser symbol.
Turns out, this is a perfect example of how metallic bonding causes malleability and coherence for very thing sheets of metal atoms.
holy fuck, the soundtrack is amazing.
The Ballad of the Nova Corps - Tyler Bates. I recomend you Black Tears and The Final Battle Begins
"A hero is not afraid to give his life"
-Skillet
Soundtrack is amazing
The Ballad of the Nova Corps - Tyler Bates. I recomend you Black Tears and The Final Battle Begins
Thats why I'm here :)
Tyler Bates did a great number on this scene's music
Kind of badass and more awesome joining of hands in a peaceful blockade to defend your people below, inspires you to be there with them and help
Everyone else is playing "Nostalgia Wars" with Star Trek and Star Wars
Marvel just jumps in and makes something better than both combined
pmd2 as a wars nerd and trekkie I entirely agree
pmd2 yep...
With what Bad Robot and co have done to those franchises it wasn't a high bar to beat, but Guardians beat them into the ground like Hulk.
Facts Marvel has previous lore just like both of them but instead of hoping nostalgia will sell films, they take bits from plenty of different sources in the lore, add their own personal touch and make something new that somehow works.
Yeah watching MCU movies back to back the quips can become too much and the movies can start to feel samey but each franchise has its own slightly different flavor and watching one franchise by itself really allows you to appreciate it.
We'll never know their names but the call of these heroes will be echoed throughout eternity; Locked In!
We know who they are. They're the Nova Corps.
Really hope they bring Richard Rider in this franchise.
Hell yeah
They almost did in Infinity War.
How ab sam alexander
@@zaidiqbal287 i'd love to have both, first rider, then alexander. Though since the mcu has adopted the "progressive" direction it's more likely for us to get only alexander for he's half hispanic.
And sam alexander
Fictional or not, I salute each and every one of the Nova Corps pilots for their sacrifice!
0:11 the girl swiping furiously on her iPad.
She is fine as hell.
lkgrave what her name?
Her name is Mikaela Hoover
She thick
Fruit Ninja...in times of crisis why not?
I hope we get a Nova movie in Phase 4.
TheSNESGrounder probably
Nice predicting dude
TitiGames guess the teachers suck in the “futur” imao
gameninja 1232 sorry, my english is quite bad
TitiGames I didn’t mean it dude don’t apologize
Never underestimate the Nova Corps
Even the ships held hands!
I love the soundtrack here. Thanos will pay
And then Thanos killed them all off screen because Xandar mattered that little.
Still kinda bitter about that
Would’ve ruined the pacing of an already jam packed film and wasn’t really necessary to show as it didn’t involve any main characters in the film except Thanos who has screen time anyways, I hope we get that scene in Nova though.
Wait til nova makes his debut, its his origin story so it'd be awful if they don't show the decimation of xandar...
@@BLACULA-Skeewoah
Yeah! Think itd be cool to see a whole sequence involving Xandar's last stand against Thanos before highlighting whatever event that lead to Richard Ryder getting the helmet.
Either that, or there also could be a series about Thanos travels before the Infinity War, and the Battle of Xandar could be one of the arcs explored.
it’s like if DC had darkseid kill off the green lantern corps off screen. throws away any potential storylines
Who else cant wait for the nova movie?
The Nova Corps has arrived to kick names and take ass.
Starblaster can be easily the best spaceship in movie history ! Thanks for the sharing Donnoc77~ This scene stays in the deep of my mind ! too epic
You know I'm just surprised that in avengers endgame, they didn't open a portal of the Nova corps from Xander to help assist in the final battle against thanos. I know that in avengers infinity war, thor said thanos took the power stone from Xander and decimated it. But imagine it.
When the rumour of some time travel shit came out about endgame, I thought the plot would be around stopping thanos from getting the power stone at first place, so I was quite thrilled in anticipation of guardian-avengers-nova corps team up against might of mad titan, alas that didn't happen
I like to think some Nova Corpsman fought during the battle just not with thier ships just guns and hard tenacity. That the day was thier day to Avenge Xandar and all the souls lost when Thanos came.
I believe the only people that got resurrected were the ones that were "blipped" off existence. The Nove Corps however, werent blipped but killed.
@@chakraborty1989 that seems like it would be too predictable XD
I get chills every time I watch this 🔥
At least we don't have a bunch of people flying around like the Green Lanterns do. Only ONE of these people has to get hold of the Nova Force. Either Rich or Sam
One of the best scenes in the entire MCU. They knew it was a death sentence as there was no way to keep that ship from reaching the ground but they could slow it down to give Quill and his team time to find and stop Ronan as well as stopping the ship even though it did hit the ground the blockade was able keep the explosion's to a small area. Nova Corps gave everyone the few seconds needed to live. Also one of the best ultimate sacrifices in any movie as it was not one but thousands not having any second thoughts and just went for it.
This is the scene that gives me hope on James Gunn directing Superman.
what i want to know is where is the nova core fleet? if the rest of the kree ships are even close to this one, then the nova core sure didn't force the kree to sign a peace treaty if all they have is those tiny fighters.
I was asking myself that too.
In short, swarm tactics.
In long, they were able to force the kree into a treaty using those tiny little fighters. They're agile and honestly hard to hit anything major. They also have serious grunt behind them too to hold a shield and push the engines at the same time, while also pulling fellow nova fighters into more suitable positions to stop a huge lumbering ship like the Accuser. I'd think they used this kind of net all the time to catch and shoot down multiple fighters.
They're part of an interstellar, or maybe intergalactic community, they probably have battalions in space, but weren't expecting to need to repel such a threat on their own planet.
Don't remember what was said of Ronan's group compared to the Kree empire but maybe his ship in particular is a special one since he's also allied with Thanos, and is something of a radical.
And on top of all that they had next to no warning that they were coming, the Ravagers had to warn them en route and stall while the Nova fleet deployed.
If we're lucky we might see more of the space-politics at play with Captain Marvel apparently having Skrulls as antagonists we may see the Kree-Skrull war playing out in some way, as the Kree were experimenting on ancient humans.
And peace treaties don't necessarily need to be forced with overwhelming power, some recognize the foolishness of nationalistic bias and the benefits of actually becoming communities rather than enemies.
I’m guessing they demilitarized after the peace treaty
Best scene in the whole movie in my opinion
I shed a tear the first time I saw it
This is one of my favorite scenes in the film
This theme should be the opening for the new nova corps movie or series, when they show us giving their lives against thanos it will be epic
Nope.. don't get me all emotional on this scene man
Amazing scene in an amazing movie.
amazing MOVIE!
Kind of what the world needs right now
... dats deep thereAn order is an order, no matter how insane
That's their planet down there, their homes, their families. That order isn't insane.
Damn THAT BARRIER IS FRICKEN MENACING
Has anyone ever done the math and counted how many ships/pilots there are forming the energy web?
Several hundred at least....
"You're nicked, chum. We're taking this whole warship back down the station!"
Imagine if they showed up in Avenger’s Endgame like this...I mean....if Xandar wasn’t destroyed
I wished they did
Easily top 10 marvel scene of all time
The music man.. Marvel movies.. in every movie...
Seeing this scene, all I can think of is "Don't worry, Xandar. *WE* shall be your shield!" in Darin De Paul's voice. Yet despite that (or maybe because of it) I still love watching it.
Is it me or did that space ship that got shot just disappear??? 0:02
Cole Sprouse as Richard Rider is perfection. Young guy with crazy talent!!!
no
this is like the climatic scene in the Star wars: new hope
I want to find the musical background of this part of the movie
I know I'm a year late but search ballad of the nova corps if you haven't already found it
Here you go

0:11 That woman is playing Galaga. Thought we wouldn't notice.
The nova corp agents are the real guardian of the galaxy.
0:23 always makes me tear up. Seeing so many unit despite their differences of background or species or sexuality. It's truly beautiful.
Can’t wait to see Richard rider🤩💯
They appeared for ONE film, then proceeded on behind the scenes to their eventual destruction to Thanos.
i dont get it there the nova but the kid from the comics nova has super powers and he is also from the nova corps
Wouldn't they have been better off using their guns? They're were thousands of ships and the Ravengers already blew a hole in the ship so we know it's vulnerable to smaller arms.
When u realize it would be much easier with drones
little N they were that brave
Sure it’s a movie but they did show the best of the best
man I just realized their ship looks like the same ships from Star Fox.
Yeah it reminded me of starfox to omfg this scene was so damn perfect I couldn’t believe what I was watching dude best scene in a movie ever
Great Job!!
*Now try that with Thanos’ ship (Sanctuary II)*
0:35 kane from wwe?
Could this be a way to bring in Super hero NOVA Into the MCU. Possibly for phase 4 ? @newrockstars
Damn if they bring Nova to the MCU in Guardians 3 it will be a crazy movie.
Yellow 13 agree
The best scene for me.
For some reason this reminded me of starfox lol
It’s really sad now that Xandar and the nova corp is destroyed years later
The only thing to go through my head when i saw this was "...why didn't they use all the energy for that, for weaponry? Then they could have simply blown it up"
...And drop the wreckage on civilians? That happen to be their own people, and possibly family members?
Those pilots sacrficed their future, for the others to have a today
It’s so tragic that Thanos just came and decimated all of this.
I loved the portrayal of of Nova Corps, but the only thing I'd change is the helmet. I don't see how the original helmet wasn't able to translate to live action.
KXNG Hunter translating comics to live action can look goofy. They barley managed to make Asgardian Uniforms not goofy looking. Imagine if they actually used Hawkeyes Comic look in the first Avengers movie.
Gunn probably didn’t want a all Nova Corpsmen to have control of the Nova Force because it would take away attention from the Guardians making it look like they are all superheroes, so he made them look like cops instead.
Im sure a Nova movie will make it look like the comic version with some tweaks.
Don't get me wrong, I love this scene, BUT if you think about what exactly they are doing, it becomes halfway dumb.
Interlock OK, but why the shield? You could simply destroy one of the starfighters to punch a hole in it. If the shield should have ANY practical use, they need to shield the fighters too and not just the small space between them.
Diamond molecules really said
lol theyr the one who lost the Power stone to thanos when he had no stone
But he had an army.
Armed with technology developed with the mind Stone (hive mind, Stone derived weapons).
With hindsight, your boy Thanos fought off two gods and Earth's Mightiest Hero at the same time. By the time he gets to Earth his army is smaller. The chitauri are completely gone meaning there were heavy losses on Xandar.
Chills
i did a two hour movie which features many military forces from different movies
list below:
Crystal Empire
I.F
Rebel Alliance
Nova Corps
many more
// ANT // not released yet
Not yet!
No cause the movie is 2 hr and youtube is famous for compressing videos
Can you upload it into separate parts?
Rollerbear712 currently im rendering the final scens for the movie il try to upload them
too bad, they all died.
Yeah, i was so dissapointed, they just cheapily let them die without even any visuals
When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I'll dry them all (all)
I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
0:12 No more candy crush girl
So much potential gone like that lol
This is a representation of Gods firmament
howv many were there?
In terms of physics, what they should have been doing is speeding it up rather than slowing it down.
NOVA CORP GOATED 4L RIP
so they could make all those aircraft in the form of the nova emblem or something alike and they could not put it on a single one of the nova core helmets?
Locked in
Nova movie!!!
Where the hell is Nova's Flying People? Just Ships?
Im still wondering why Richard Rider isn’t in the MCU to this day
So Marvel Tease This As To Make A Preferences Of Nova.
Looks Like We're Watching in 2020
The real Suicide Squad
This very touching scene was actually not in the film's first cut!
Something I will never understand is why they didn't also shoot at the big ship, like all those individual ships with their own blasters shooting at the ship all at the same time. It would have done some serious damage. Like a wall with thousands of turrets sending a storm of blasts. Or maybe I missed something.
Juan Torres the whole point is to keep the ship from touching down that way Ronan won’t use the Power Stone to destroy the planet
Destroying a 3 mile long ship above your capital city isn't very smart specially if there is a psycho inside that can destroy the entire world if he touches the ground

Out of many; one.
