We understand that making a budget is not an easy task, but why are you taxing the same set of people all the time? Why not increase the tax breadth and bring in a larger range of people into it so that all the burden of taxes shouldn't be on the middle income group.
Because the sheep which are paying the tax will continue without a word.

Mam I came from below the middle class family and I am from general category in my schooling and college and entire my student life government didn't help any financial or scholarship , government only helped ST and SC category

Our previous generations may have casteism but this generation slowly could have changed that idea right as many people are doing so. But if this keep on going like this I doubt this will create more diversity and more hatredness towards them . Just look at bangladeshs situation. Upto 17,500 not on an average that means on a very rare case where you wouldbe already paying more tax as per new tax system there you may get this .

What a FM is she
She avoids the question and gives an evasive answer. What is her justification for double taxation on a selected few? What is her reasoning for imposing GST on food items and medicine? This is nothing but hypocrisy. Modi was against taxation on food items when he was a Chief Minister, but now he adds GST on everything possible and increases taxation on income and expenditure. The ordinary person has no social security benefits, and when they retire, they continue to be taxed on everything they have until death, which is ironic.

nowadays many people earn 50L, in Cs ( especially in the new age industries). The slabs should be wide enough to support low earners in traditional jobs with minimum burden.
Charge the domestic SME companies at nominal rates to boost job creation while keeping the foreign company rates at international level.

See the thing is democracy is about majority. The Majority in this country is poor people, farmers, labourers and low income groups. So if you want them to vote for you, you can't make them unhappy. The best solution is tax the people heavily who are not in majority and give all the perks and benefits (or so to speak) to people who will vote for you. Salaried people who wish to lead a life worth of human being by working hard and earning money are the ones who can be exploited. If someone doesn't want to do a job and get salary, he can very well escape the tax system, but then its not so good to earn less and be a farmer or labourer and just be dependent on government for basic needs ( I know there are some super rich farmers too in our country, but they are very less in number in the bigger context), but then that's not a good life either. In a nutshell what I want to say is the finance minister is just another puppet of the system of democracy. So don't expect her to listen to you if you are not poor. Just accept that the tax is the price to pay for your peace of mind and a standard living. Don't expect them to give you anything in return for your taxes. Its a flaw of the core of democracy which cannot be mended. She herself said that she comes from middle class. But see the moment she reached to a powerful position in the democratic chain, she has also changed and accepted that she can't do anything for people of the middle class as the government during her time was not able to do anything for her

1.25 L exemption will get justified if anyone is not claiming this exemption, then it should get accumulated or carried over to next year, where 1.25+1.25 i.e. 2.5 L to be exempted and so on.
Thought behind this - if anyone is investing funds via mutual funds or sip, they tend to hold for long like 10 or 20 years and given the market, they are most likely to have crossed the 1.25 L exemption limit.

First pay your Income tax, remaining savings that we used to invest again pay tax on it (Short Term capital gain raised from 15% to 20% and Long Term capital gain raised from 10% to 12.5%). After redemption money from investments if you want to purchase anything pay GST on it. Government fooling us from every side.😅

Why did she forget to consider about VAT, CESS? Shouldn't it be removed from petroleum products? Shouldn't it be removed for simplification?
Even if we pay more than 35% of tax, we get worst infrastructure which doesn't justify these figures. Example : we pay taxes like RTO, VAT, CESS, GST but still NHAI says they take loans to complete their projects ?

You know china me 25 lakh ki annual income pe 15 % ke income tax se tax lena start hota hai bt here I'm not suggesting a our indian govt to start taking income tax at 15% on annual income of 25 lakh, they can start it from atleast 5% at 12 lakh and 10% at 16 lakh and 15% at 25 lakh of annual income

GST was enacted by saying abolishing of 26 tax deductions but all are there indirectly moreover contrary to previous 26 GST is a Receipt/Payment collection that goes straight to Modi unlike of centralised price list concept. And GST has no centralised price list. It has variable price list and more listings for Modi populated reins.
