    RULES:
    • The only permitted mod is mission timer.
    • If you're running modded, please display the mod list (host) before or after the mission.
    • Due to "Mission Time" being volatile, Timing is done by stopwatch, visible on the video. You may use SimpleMissionTimer from the workshop to time your runs. Timer starts when you gain control of your dwarf after the pod lands, timer ends when all alive dwarves are in the pod and weapons are no longer drawn on screen.
    • When submitting a run, please make sure that "In-game time" is your stopwatch timer, and "Time" is the Mission Time shown at the results screen.
    • No player can JOIN the match. Leaving players will not be counted as runners on the scoreboard.
    • Runs are valid if one or more player is alive at extraction (endgame screen has at least x1 survival bonus)
    • No third-party software
    • 2 Players+ Only
    • Hazard 2 Difficulty or higher.
    • No Positive mutator allowed these are the yellow mutator that may affect the gameplay/combat aspect of the game such as : Critical weakness, Low Gravity, Rich Atmosphere and Volatiles guts
    • No beer buffs.
    • Secondary objective does not have to be completed

    Yes, this is hazard 2. This is a speedrun.com submission and there are categories for haz2 and haz5. Even though it is hazard 2, it was very difficult to beat the previous time of 5.53. You need to rely on a really good seed, simple hacking pod connections, and a quick Caretaker fight. There's room for improvement, but we'll wait until this record gets beat before trying again. I just like that Industrial Sabotage is finally starting to become a relatively quick mission lol

    Dang that was a really good seed! Driller found his station first and you found yours shortly after. Seems this category is about to just be looking for really good seeds from now on and possibly caretaker rng.

      I can't tell you how many resets this took. The seeding plays a crucial role in even contending for a good time. If we couldn't start the hacking pod prior to 1 minute and 20 seconds it was a reset. What happened a lot is one of us would get a good hacking pod placement, but the other would have one land in the tunnel or on a cliff, forcing us to reset. It was incredibly rare that we both got a good location for the hacking pod

    That is so fun to see, given that my crew does Haz 1 IS 'cause we've hated is so much, it's cool to incorporate what I see you guys doing. The whole doing both power stations at the same time, driller C4s to just get all the shields off... etc. lots of useful stuff. I now know to bring my embedded dets for the eye, and just dodge the arms without worrying about them. So cool that you two beat it! Hope it holds for a bit.

      Another good option is using cryo grenades on the Caretaker. One cryo grenade will weaken the vents considerably so it will take more damage. Really easy to kill all the vents quickly using that strategy

    Did not know you could attach c4 to the caretaker. Might make playing cryo driller more fun on caretaker missions lol.

    I think the main area you could have saved time is by not having driller shoot the eye at all. I'm pretty sure even on 2-player haz 2 embedded dets one-cycles the eye.

      Yeah I remember the embedded dets being inconsistent with one-cycling the eye. We didn’t really practice it enough, though. It probably would’ve worked better, but I’m not planning on running Industrial Sabotage again for a while
