Fears and Moore for OU will play in the NBA. I just hope this Sooner team can avoid injuries and maybe make a run in this year. Last year's team was even better and injuries absolutely killed them.
IMO our best player Jadon Jones is still hurt which is weird as he was listed day to day 3 weeks ago. My guess if they’ll rest him until after Christmas break to give him some extra time but if we add him and he gets back into playing shape we’ll be insanely dangerous. 6’5 elite shooter with a nice handle and really nice defense.
@@Spacewalk11 He's clearly not our best player but he looks like he could help once he starts playing. He's not better than Moore or Fears. His best season was last year averaging 12 points against lesser competition than what he's about to face.
@@joeldriver-sp2rg Moore averaged 11 points last year & he’s our clear best player this season. Fears although potent has major weaknesses and almost single handedly lost us the Louisville game. Although to the untrained eye certain folks may have seen his stats and thought he played well that game. Jones movement and motion is clearly elite. His defense with his length is absolutely perfect for the scheme Moser runs. 2 steals and a block a game for a guard in college is insanity. He tortured UCLA for 30. He had 20+ against elite teams last year multiple times. He’s inconsistent but when on easily our best player imo. Go look at their schedule. They played plenty of really good teams last year. Also last years team absolutely wasn’t better than this years. McCollum isn’t as good as fears in any capacity and he was our best scorer. Shame we lost Otega tho. He’s a dog. Uzan also had an abysmal season for us last year. I agree Moore is likely better than him, but Moore isn’t without his faults either. Take tonight for example. Jones is better than Fears tho. Fears continues to improve so for how long I don’t know. You’ll be pleasantly surprised once you see how good Jones is. My roommate went to LBS so we watched a lot of their games on TV last year. I was thrilled when I found out OU landed him. Not sure if he had a set back or what, but assuming we get him playing at full strength, we’ll be very hard to beat. Sorry for the rant but this is as excited as I’ve been about OU basketball since 2016 Buddy. Sadly we’re a rim protecting/great rebounding big man away from being truly contenders but we’re still very good. Our lack of rebounding will catch up to us with our brutal schedule tho.
