Such a great intro, game 162 of the 2011 MLB season was one of the best days of my life baseball wise. The soundtrack is the best in video game history in my opinion. The actual game is great too, my second favorite in the series (14 is my top favorite).
Back when the Astros were so pathetic that Minute Maid Park were either Cardinal fans or Astros fans that were only there watching for Berkman on the Cardinals.
This shows how great baseball is. Its not up until the last out is made, but it doesn't say when and for the Rays and Cards it went to the last day and the last out
The Yanks use their worse relievers cause they didn't want to burn their best ones, if they blew the game they wouldn't of gotten ahead of the Rays 7-0, your comment is stupid
That's idiotic. Boston was the worst team in baseball in September. And back in 2011, the wild card teams couldn't face the division winner in the playoffs, so Boston would have played Texas, not NY.
Michael Baumann exactly Boston fans are stupid, they always look for some scapegoat instead of taking it on the chin and just admitting that the team didn't get the job done when it mattered
To tell you the truth, I am a die hard yankee fan and it felt like after they went up 7-0 that they completely stopped trying because they knew they were already in the playoffs. This game was the only game ever where I rooted against the yankees
You hear Michael Kay's calls of the 2 Rays homers and you almost forget that he's the Yankees TV announcer.
The Rays announcer had 0 enthusiasm
Erving Henderson that’s y he’s the best announcer in baseball
He's excited the Red Sox miss the playoffs lmao
As much as I dislike the Yankees, and while he does have homer tendencies, Kay is still a fan of the game and usually calls it excitingly both ways.
He's usually pretty calm, but the "THERE IT IS!" was full of enthusiasm for the team.
Whoever made this intro Deserves a raise best intro in any game imo ever
Such a great intro, I played this game religiously and still found myself watching it all the way through pretty often
Best intro ever
talexander96 MLB 13 the show had the best intro.
Update: The Show 17 is the best hands down
true
i still think this one is slightly better.
Update: MLB The Show 21 has the best intro
8 years later and I still get goosebumps watching this. Rays up!
I am a Cardinals fan. I cannot even think of how to describe 2011, because it was so awesome.
In all of baseball history, game 162 is the greatest night in baseball. I am proud that not only did my Cards win the WS, but made history.
And that World Series Game 6 was insane. We will never see another year in baseball like that one.
"What a great night for baseball."
A decade later and still one of the greatest season’s and story’s ever in Baseball
Fr I loved this game even tho I was only 5

That and game 6 of the same world series from a cardinal fan
good for you mate, for me...... it wasn't (red sox fan)
L0L the early invention of the dab at 1:26 LOL
This is why this is my favorite edition of the show. Great intro
Heck of a game too ⚾️
Back when the Astros were so pathetic that Minute Maid Park were either Cardinal fans or Astros fans that were only there watching for Berkman on the Cardinals.
I miss the Astros-Cardinals rivalry in the National League.
I love how enthusiastic the Yankees announcers are when the rays win
When you think about it, it's probably because it officially caused the Red Sox to miss the playoffs lol
I still come back and watch this nearly 12 years later, I’m sure I’ll be back for many more
I'm literally a Brewers fan who doesn't like any of these teams but I get chills watching every time.
Phillies eliminated the Braves only to get eliminated by the Cards in the NLDS lol
The nostalgia
To think that one win in 2011, set the Orioles up to be perennial pennant contenders. Amazing.
2014 ALDS, try again.
and here they are in 2018 with 115 loses lol
Yikes
Great into, this is the game that got me into Baseball
This shows how great baseball is. Its not up until the last out is made, but it doesn't say when and for the Rays and Cards it went to the last day and the last out
Ronnie99104 It's declining. 2017
Kevin A. Declining? Did you not see game 7?
c'mon man. Its home run or bust. Baseball hasn't been the same since 2011
Imagine if it was Tampa and St Louis in the world series that year.
now we're getting a sequel to this, but with hockey 😂
10 years later and here we go again👀
Andino's liner to left and Crawford's noodle throw, and the sad face on that Red Sox fan's face is my favorite part.😂
Best put together hype vid ever
Best intro to ever hit Mlb the show no matter what you can’t top this
Bro this is the best intro clip in sports game history and one of the best in gaming
Best intro the franchise has had
2021 and still loving this intro wow
My favorite intro. My favorite game.
My fav game too #baseballisbetter mlbtheshow 20
Still the greatest sports game intro ever and best year for baseball since roids
Best intro ever and best night in baseball ever
Still the best intro
my birthday present best one in 2011 sept 28
We could live 100 lifetimes and never see a season like 2011 again. Especially for Cardinals fans like me.
Why don't I learn my lesson? Great song
would have been a great intro if it weren't for the braves losing lol
+littleboy746 lol and the year after they added the 2nd wild card spot
SONICdaGOON don't get me started on that bull infield fly rule. I broke my signed bat after that. What a way for chipper to go out
+littleboy746 thats what made it great actually.
Michael Kay was a little too excited about the Yankees losing that game 😏
Lol it was pretty obvious they threw the game intentionally
Childhood 💯💯💯
Same
I'm disappointed they didnt include anything from game 6 of the 2011 world series
Epic
WHy is the yankees announcer so excited about a Rays homer? lol.
he’s just a good commentator
i miss these old intros. the new intros in mlb the show is pure dogggggggg shit
name of song please :)
Learn my lesson-the sheepdogs
Perfect. Rays and Braves out.
TBW, "Devil* Rays, much better. "Rays", so generic.
Wtf are you talking about? The Rays won their game in 2011
Yankees just gave that game away so that the rays would get into the playoffs instead of Boston
The Yanks use their worse relievers cause they didn't want to burn their best ones, if they blew the game they wouldn't of gotten ahead of the Rays 7-0, your comment is stupid

Ryan Hardison every fan of a team thinks of excuses, not just us
