I remember watching on TV and thinking I will comment on the youtube video whenever we do win it. And here we are! This makes me so freakin happy! Go Cubs!
Back to the Future 2 got the year wrong, but this might just happen! Congratulations to the 2016 Chicago Cubs! National League Champions for the first time since 1945!
actually they did predict the cubs would win the 112 world series which would have been in 2015 but due to the strike of 94 which cancelled the 94 world series the 112 world series happened in 2016. so it was half correct
They don't tell you when that game is, but I can tell you that it happened on November 2nd 2016. A date that will forever live in the hearts of cubs fans everywhere, alive and passed. It took 108 years to do it but they did it. Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs for ending the curse and finally winning the World Series. Tonight is a night to always be remembered. Even though I'm not a cubs fan but this was purely magical. Absolute Bliss. Goodnight Everybody, and take it easy Chicago.
my grandpa, now 93, has been a cubs fan all his life. The last time the cubs were even in a world series (1945), he was away in Europe during WW2. all i ask is that they win before he dies, because i don't think he has much time left in him;. Please win by 2017!!!!!!!
Can't believe this is officially real now. Still trying to wrap my head around this. 2012 was their worst year since 1966, four years later, they're World Series champs. Go Cubs Go!!!!
From a Giants fan: Congrats, Chicago! I remember 2010. Just to win and celebrate and having joy and wishing you could've been celebrating with your loved ones not here anymore. Wanting to celebrate and feeling relieved at all these moments of frustration no longer being relevant. From goats, certain fans, called shots, congratulations Chicago. Enjoy your time.
SlushiePimp definitely not, but each ring has its own character to it. 2010 was the sweetest because of how long we had to wait to finally see the Giants win one. You have to remember that year everyone still worshipped Philly as the NL kings. 2012 was special in its own way because of the comebacks the team had to make. 2014 was the icing on the cake, because I was in school at SoCal at the time. I had friends who loved the Dodgers and kept rubbing in how the Giants lost a 7 game lead in the division. They kept talking about Kershaw, and when Bumgarner got the last out in Kansas City, it was a great time to see my Dodger friend fans shut up.
Bradford Choung Yea the Dodgers stay taking Ls.. It was incredible watching the heroics of Juan Uribe and Brian Wilson... Only to have them betray us. Aubrey Huff was my favorite part of the 2010 run. Either him or Cody Ross, such unlikely players came through for the Giants to win it all. Every player had some kind of great story. Edgar Renteria, who won the MVP award for the World Series, kinda looks like Aroldis Chapman in disguise.
Speaking from someone who lives in Chicago, right down the way from Wrigley Field and the hoards of obnoxiously drunk, brotastic fans who merely attend Cubs games so they can get smashed both inside and outside the Friendly Confines, I can most certainly tell you that the "fans" definitely DON'T deserve it...
Ross Houston I've never even been to Chicago, but since I was 8 years old, I've been in love with the Cubbies! Just because you are a fan of another team, don't assume that all fans are alike just by observing a few. True fans bleed their team's colors and are with them in the good and the bad. Maybe your team has won a championship recently, congrats if so. But trust me, We Cubs fans are due. We Cub fans DO deserve a championship!
ChivasLaPresa17 Ross Houston Godsamong Legends Ross is on-point. I'm a Cubs fan but if you go down Wrigleyville on any given night, it looks like the feminine hygiene isle @ Walgreen's w/ all the douches. If I had a buck for every time I heard "bro/brah" walking from Addison to Belmont, I'd be able to buy out the Ricketts family. I have Sox fan friends who are more supportive of the Cubs than the shitbags that go to the park just to get wasted and not actually watch the game. I remember a couple years ago, I heard some drunk "fan" on Clark wearing a Cubs hat start giggling at a dude's jersey saying "hahaha why does your shirt say 'Fuck You, Do Me'?" (dude was wearing a Kosuke Fukudome jersey....ONE OF OUR PLAYERS). That being said, we deserve a World Series win in our lifetime. Being a Cubs fan is like Islam: the grand majority of us are good people; the bad ones are in the forefront that make people think otherwise.
Yeah, I had the same experience while donning my Fukodome jersey at Coors Field last year. My brother, who is a Rockies fan, just lmao, because it was a comment from a Cubs fan!
This commercial is beautiful. And I'm a Phillies fan. I watch this commercial from time to time because it's so amazing and pulls at your heartstrings.
it's amazing how in the world of sports, a world of extreme loyalty to one's own team, almost everyone can sit there and say "yeah I'd love to see the cubs win the world series, that would be awesome." it shows how everyone recognizes that each team deserves a moment of glory. especially when it has been so long...
I'm a life long Cubs fan, this commercial always kind of choked me up and now that they won it still chokes me up. Can't believe they actually won. What a damn emotional roller coaster.
ixithedrewixi Sure, why not? The Cubs are doing decent this year. I mean, it would suck if the Cardinals played their best season in the past few years only to lose in the playoffs, but if they did I'd love to see the Cubs go on to win it all instead. :P
+thelastholdout ya the cubs have been on a real hot streak sneaking up to the Pirates, I do beleive the Cubs have a huge chance to win the wildcard. They've won 14 of the last 15 games they've played. The Cards are doing fantastic this season though so it will be tough in the playoffs.
Dunzo Yeah, the Cardinals are on track to one of their best seasons in a long time. Can't deny the possibility of an epic collapse, but it would take them losing half their games for the rest of the season in order to finish with the same amount of wins they had last season, when they won the division as well. The NL Central is a seriously kickass division this year, with the sole exception of the Reds. The poor Reds. :(
+KartKing4ever thank you for the encouragement !! I rooted for the Sox when they were in the WS in '05 in the end whatever makes Chicago more awesome !!
+Daniel Jinu Yu kyle Schwarber, Jake Arrieta,Addison Russell,Chris Denorfia and Coghlan,Dexter Fowler............go back just two years ago, i couldnt name even 10 people on the team, and im a cubbie fan
You know I just want to say that I thought I was going to be the only one that remembered this commercial, so I was gonna be the first comment to say that they actually did it! But I came and I saw hundreds of people already here thinking the same thing I did who also remembered the commercial, and I just want to say to all you who came after they won, you guys are awesome and it makes me really happy to see all these people respond so quick I want to cry tho, seriously. But I don't know any of you but I just want to say how happy it makes me to see people remember this commercial and come here to comment that we did it 10 mins afterwards. It really means a lot to me to see such a loyal and die hard cubs fans. I'm so happy for the cubs and people in Chicago. Have a great day and always follow your dreams, they will come true!
AssanPanda The only part that is not real in this commercial is that Cubs did not win WS champions at the Wrigley Field. But as most people say, Chicago Cubs are just getting started to become a legend.
This was super accurate to how it actually looked. Save the fact that we didn't win at home. Empty streets and packed bars. The possibility for misery on the last pitch. Millennium Park skyline lit up with Cubs Win. Fireworks. Streets filled in Wrigleyville. I wasn't at The Wiener Circle the night they won, but Wrigleyville Dogs looked very similar. Horns blaring. People celebrating in buildings and rooftops. Astronomical amounts of light coming from Wrigley Field. People crowded around the scoreboard. Confetti. Only this time, it was real.
I'm a die hard Cubs fan. First time I saw this commercial I was sitting in the dining room with the living room tv Going on in the background. All of a sudden i hear "And the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series" I immediately was like what the hell??!! I ran to my tv saw Chicago celebrating and I thought "what the hell is going on??!!! Then the music got higher and more epic and I saw the sign out in front and I started happy crying. One of the coolest moments of my life. Greatest ad campaign I've ever seen to this day
Congrats to the Cubs who get one step closer to this on the 13th of October 2015! I'm glad they got there, I have nothing against them! When I said the Cards would win it all I said it in JULY... look how much things have changed in 3 months Cubs fans...
+bWildcat2 The mets dominated because they have some veteran guys. They may not have many but they do have more than the cubs. The cubs closest thing to a veteran is either john lester or david ross. pretty much everyone else were new to the post season.
+radking11 well that should come in handy the next time the Cubs make the playoffs, they'll have some experience as well as a younger roster ready to make a deeper run in the playoffs
Not a cubs fan, but I love, love, love this freaking trailer. Best trailer created for a game ever. I get goosebumps everytime because this looks so real.
My mother has been a cubs fan all her life-I got to see her cry and jump for joy tonight-to be a REAL Cubs fan takes dedication-my mom has waited all her life for this moment-congrats mom
I didn't want to say anything to this until it was confirmed, but I had a nagging suspicion that this would reverse jinx the Cubs. So for all the Cubs fans out there, I say thank you :)
As a Red Sox fan I know how long the wait can be and the pain to your team always loose. But in 2004 the Red Sox just brought Boston back to life. I would really like to see that happen to Chicago with the cubs.
It's very good to hear that I'm not the only Red Sox Fan who is pulling for the Cubs to win The World Series soon. Yes, the 86 year wait was just as painful as it was long enough to make us believe that if we would ever see that day back in 2004. Now that our curse has ended, it's time that someone should do something to help the Cubs. Considering that they now have Our General Manager(Theo Epstein) who built the team that ended that 86 year curse, perhaps he could also build another winner in Wrigley on "The North Side".
i remember random nights before the cubs won when i couldnt sleep id load this video up and watch it, and just imagine the feeling. i knew it would happen in my life just knew it. first time coming back to it after they won and im tearing up big time. this commercial really captured it
This commercial brought me to tears when I first saw it back in whatever that was... '12? Little did I know that feeling was nothing compared to what the real thing was like. Congratulations Cubs and Cub fans everywhere! What an amazing year!
AND IT HAPPENED!!!! Not a Cubs fan, but I'm very happy for the fans and the city of Chicago. Very entertaining series/Game 7, this commercial basically sums up November 2nd, 2016!
Remember this commercial very well. They were only off by four years. I always knew they would win again, maybe not that quickly off a rebuild, and I know they'll eventually win again. I was 22, a perfect age to witness it happen. Young, but old enough to party for days and remember it forever.
Well I'll be damned, they finally did it. The Cubs have finally won the World Series. 108 years of failure and frustration are finally over. Congratulations, you guys deserved it.
this commercial is way more emotional now that they did it
Everytime I see this now. I tear up in happiness.
agreed
I know every time I watch this commercial now I cry
I remember watching on TV and thinking I will comment on the youtube video whenever we do win it. And here we are! This makes me so freakin happy! Go Cubs!
I thought the exact same thing man,
Ditto. Why I'm here!
So real it's unreal... well it's certainly real now
That moment when it actually happens. Bliss
Congratulations, Cubs fans! 2016 World Series Champions! Fantasy has truly become reality!
Heck yeah!
THE BILLY GOAT CURSE IS OVER!!!!!
You did it... you really did it... you dont have to cry anymore guy playing MLB 12 god now im crying! T-T
Steve Bartman you can come out of hiding now
bWildcat2 I have been coming back here to.
Not even a Cubs fan... and this brought a little tear to my eye.
Back to the Future 2 got the year wrong, but this might just happen! Congratulations to the 2016 Chicago Cubs! National League Champions for the first time since 1945!
bWildcat2 Yessss!!!!
bWildcat2 amen
bWildcat2 NOW WORLD CHAMPIONS
It was a year off but hey the prediction... it came true!
actually they did predict the cubs would win the 112 world series which would have been in 2015 but due to the strike of 94 which cancelled the 94 world series the 112 world series happened in 2016. so it was half correct
Cubs won. This is no longer a dream. Its a reality. Grats cubs!
they won 5 minutes ago and it was amazing.
Man this gives me hardcore goosebumps. Someday this will finally happen... someday
AND THAT DAY IS TODAY HOLY SHIT
They don't tell you when that game is, but I can tell you that it happened on November 2nd 2016. A date that will forever live in the hearts of cubs fans everywhere, alive and passed. It took 108 years to do it but they did it. Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs for ending the curse and finally winning the World Series. Tonight is a night to always be remembered. By the way Back to The Future was only 1 year off their World Series prediction which IMO you gotta tip your hat to
nope 11.3.16
John Young 11.2.16 in Chicago
Corey Asa but it was 11.3 where it actually happened.
I see I'm not the only one that came back to this video after seeing the Cubs win.
my grandpa, now 93, has been a cubs fan all his life. The last time the cubs were even in a world series (1945), he was away in Europe during WW2. all i ask is that they win before he dies, because i don't think he has much time left in him;. Please win by 2017!!!!!!!
He'll die without ever having seen them win jack shit. Feel better?
Erik R is he still around for tonight?
luvfreedom that comment didn’t age well didn’t it?
Update, did they win in his life?
I can't tell you how many times I have come back to watch this video over the last few years. This is so cool. Enjoy the moment. IT'S REAL!
As a lifelong Cubs fan, this commercial still gets me every single time. However, here in 2015, it will become a reality.
Yes
U wrote this 5 months ago bro....were gettin real fucking close!!
+front site focus today was great! Red hot Cubbies!
+front site focus today was great! Red hot Cubbies!
+Justin Deas yeah, you know you have a decent shot when cubbie fans revisit their bucketlist of what to do when they win it all.lol
Can't believe this is officially real now. Still trying to wrap my head around this. 2012 was their worst year since 1966, four years later, they're World Series champs. Go Cubs Go!!!!
When the Cubs win I think the entire nation will cry. Good luck Chicago hope you guys get it soon. From a Mets fan.
We did, my reaction was just like that guy in that skyscraper window 😂
From a Giants fan:

Steve Bartman you are now free from all Cubs fans. Your sins have been washed away!
BatmansButt Butler lmao👆👆
BatmansButt Butler he never did anything wrong. Cub fans are just toxic
I'm not even a Cubs fan but watching this still makes me emotional knowing that they did it now.
who is watching after the cubs just won in 2016?
They are closer to this now than they were when they were five outs away in 2003.
I'm a die hard Yankees fan and even I would love to see Chicago Cubs to win at least one. Their fans definitely deserve it.

I'll admit it. Watching this commercial makes me really want the Cubs to win a World Series in the next year or two.
Signed,

I agree, cubs fan
thelastholdout Do you still feel this way? lol

If the Cubs ever did make the World Series, I don't think anybody other than fans of the team they're playing would be rooting against them.
Guy Incognito cards fans would be because they're sad pathetic losers
Chairman Meow Cards fans are annoying but sadly they do win a lot.
Maybe a large part of the white sox fans would root against them..
+Gabriel Gaspar Nah, I don't think so. I'm a Sox fan and I hope the Cubs go all the way.
+KartKing4ever thank you for the encouragement !! I rooted for the Sox when they were in the WS in '05 in the end whatever makes Chicago more awesome !!
As a Cubs fan, this is one of the most cruelest, yet most satisfying commercials ever! One day, one day.......
:) You know!
This is what it's going to be like when I lose my virginity.
+Cal Marx *if you lose it.
Exactly
+John Doe lololololol... kids got no hair on his ballz mang
I've always loved this commercial. Amazing to see it finally come true. Signed... A Red Sox fan that watched the Sox win in 2004 on my birthday.
After watching this 4 years ago i can finally go back to this video again and say CUBS ARE YOUR 2016 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS !!! baby!
The Cubs players piling up at the end: Jon Lester, Starlin Castro, Anthony Rizzo, Jorge Soler, Kris Bryant, Javier Baez...
+Daniel Jinu Yu kyle Schwarber, Jake Arrieta,Addison Russell,Chris Denorfia and Coghlan,Dexter Fowler............go back just two years ago, i couldnt name even 10 people on the team, and im a cubbie fan
This isn't a dream anymore......... We did it tonight. Cubs 2016 World Series champions
Still can't believe it, saw the aftermath on WGN and was like, is this real life? So happy. but completely exhausted from those last couple innings
Cubs are the cubs because of what they put "us" through lol
CUBSfan7364
CUBSfan7364 it was just like this man the crowd was out of control ....... in a good way lol

AssanPanda The only part that is not real in this commercial is that Cubs did not win WS champions at the Wrigley Field.
But as most people say, Chicago Cubs are just getting started to become a legend.
They also did not win on a strikeout. It was a throw from the pitcher to the first baseman on the final play.
James Trout ACTUALLY, it was Kris Bryant the 3rd baseman that threw it to the first baseman Anthony Rizzo
James Trout
Same with 2004 World Series.
And the celebration in reality turned out to be 1000X greater than what was predicted in this commercial. Congrats Cubs fans!
We are all officially living in that dudes Playstation 4.
Ooohh what a stupendous Night it was! Holy Cow!!!
I'm not crying...*sniff*...I'm not...
*begins sobbing uncontrollably*
WHY CUBS WHYYYYY?
hands down the greatest commercial ever
And 4 years later, it's finally happened. Congratulations Cubs, from a spoiled Red Sox fan.
im not even being snarky or mean, but truly thank you for theo, our lord and savior. the man is a freaking genius.
Red Sox 80+ year drought
won 3 in 9....This is just the beginning of Cubs streak.
I remember watching this commercial. Funny how accurate it is now.
I'm not even from Chicago and I teared up a bit the first time I saw this commercial.
Greatest ad campaign I've ever seen to this day
I watch this like once a week...
Same.
Same, espicilaly since the playoffs started
+Mikey Fornelli no more next year!!!! go cubs!!!
Now they're one step closer to making this a reality. Congratulations Chicago. You deserve it!
Congrats to the Cubs who get one step closer to this on the 13th of October 2015! I'm glad they got there, I have nothing against them! When I said the Cards would win it all I said it in JULY... look how much things have changed in 3 months Cubs fans...
+bWildcat2 hey i love the cubs! mind checking out my channel i post gaming videos bWildcat2!
+bWildcat2 tfw nothing really changed. go mest
+eventscrubs1 nobody expected the Mets to dominate the Cubs like they did, they're a really good team

Joe Maddon just joined the Cubs recently!
I have a feeling the Cubs will end their 100+ year WS drought soon...
And just signed Jon Lester!
Jared Muston Thats a good pitcher. Oh Jonny boy.
IowaTheBest And also have Theo Epstein as their General Manager.
My mother has been a cubs fan all her life-I got to see her cry and jump for joy tonight-to be a REAL Cubs fan takes dedication-my mom has waited all her life for this moment-congrats mom
It will soon become a reality Cubs for the W
^^Wrong lol
Bill Nye the Suicidal Guy we will see.
I didn't want to say anything to this until it was confirmed, but I had a nagging suspicion that this would reverse jinx the Cubs. So for all the Cubs fans out there, I say thank you :)
You welcome
this could be tonight
If we can break a curse, so can you Cubs. Congratulations Chicago!
~From a Red Sox Fan
Now Cubs fans know what is like to win the world series!
This is the communal sight for the 2016 World Series run. Everyone thinks back to this commercial lol
It is so stupid but I cry like a baby every time I watch this commercial.
erindizmo but that’s fantasy became reality.
fast forward 4 more years, it's finally over, congratulations! coming from a Yankee fan!
Im a red sox fan, but who else looked this up just to imagine what this year might look like
And tonight it finally actually happened❤️
I've never been able to watch this without crying, and that will be even more true now. GO CUBBIES!
I'm not a Cubs fan, but I want to see the win it this year. Just so Back To The Future 2 prediction can be a reality.
nynola good movie but I just don't see the Cubs or anyone getting past the Cards this year
Mets gonna win it all! They rolling and might stop them
+nynola yes
+bWildcat2 jays are going all the way this uear
I don't want them to win cause I DON'T want to see that prediction come true- any other is fine though
This commercial plays with my emotions so much. #GoCubsGo
They did a pretty good job foreseeing how Chicago would respond to the Cubs actually doing it!
After 108 years it finally happened. Congratulations Cubs fans and to the city of Chicago, you've earned it.
And then 4 years later, the Miracle would happen for real.
i remember random nights before the cubs won when i couldnt sleep id load this video up and watch it, and just imagine the feeling. i knew it would happen in my life just knew it. first time coming back to it after they won and im tearing up big time. this commercial really captured it
CUBS FINALLY WON. THE CURSE IS OVER!!!!
This commercial brought me to tears when I first saw it back in whatever that was... '12? Little did I know that feeling was nothing compared to what the real thing was like. Congratulations Cubs and Cub fans everywhere! What an amazing year!
It's going to look like that next weekend, but with bonfires and flipped over cars.
Damn right! 😁
Like I said, have Steve Bartman throw out The First Pitch on Opening Day 2017!
Told myself years ago that I would comment when we did it, here I am! Go Cubs Go!
The world is ready to witness this!!
I have literally been waiting for this to happen just to come back and watch this commercial! 😂 Congrats Cubbies!!
Sincerely,
A Cardinals Fan
I really wanna see this happen... Coming from a die hard Red Sox fan btw
Maaaannnn I remember seeing this commercial the first time... I teared up a little lol. Good luck to the Red Sox this season btw.
+Pinhead Larry Thank you, here's another Red Sox Fan wanting to see the "Cubs Win"!
+Glossic If the Red Sox did it in 2004, the Cubs can most certainly do it in 2015!
+James Doe yeah right
- mets fan
JBILLZ 20/20 dick ._.
This ad was so cool back in the day and now that the Cubs has actually won, it makes it even better! Congrats Cubs! Y'all truly deserve this!
Shit got real
Four years later and they finally have a real shot at it. Four years later and this commercial still gets dust in my eye.
Best commercial ever
AND IT HAPPENED!!!! Not a Cubs fan, but I'm very happy for the fans and the city of Chicago. Very entertaining series/Game 7, this commercial basically sums up November 2nd, 2016!
I wish it was real every time I watch it I start to cry go cubs
The backround music makes is super emotional
we did it
we did it
we did it
雖然不是小熊迷,但這影片真的很感人...這種好多人一起支持同一樣東西的感覺讓人不自覺眼眶紅
This might actually be a reality. Go Cubs Go
Na. Dodgers in six.
Bill Nye the Suicidal Guy 3-2
:)
And it is!
Remember this commercial very well. They were only off by four years. I always knew they would win again, maybe not that quickly off a rebuild, and I know they'll eventually win again. I was 22, a perfect age to witness it happen. Young, but old enough to party for days and remember it forever.
IT HAPPENED!!! IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!!!!! THE CUBS ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!
Well I'll be damned, they finally did it. The Cubs have finally won the World Series. 108 years of failure and frustration are finally over. Congratulations, you guys deserved it.
I think I'm the first here to say, CUBS ACTUALLY WON THIS YEAR
The guy who cut off his beard. Classic.
We're so close this year. If any year is our year, its 2015
Yes we are!!
I mean, we've got a really young roster. I'd say we'll have our best chance in a couple if not 3-4 years.
You mean 2016 is our year
Hello past Yin, I hail from the Future...we did it
Going down the line to thumbs up all the comments supporting the Cubs.
We're getting closer.
CUBS TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!
the fact that I never have to watch this again makes me so so happy. because I actually watched it happen
This is now reality in 2016.
Cubs finally winning the championship was the most surreal sports moment I’ve ever experienced. I cried when it happened
2016 anyone right after the NLCS?
Matthew D'Ercole ya lol
Yup
Ye
yes. one step closer
me.
I RAN DOWN MY STREET SCREAMING CUBS WON AT 12:00AM 😂🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌❤
This could become a reality
A few years late, but HELL YES!!!
The new tagline should be "MLB The Show, So real that holy shit it actually is real"
One of the better video game commercials
