A lot of people don't like Nick faldo, I don't know why.
I find his instructions easy and logical and his manner friendly.
He also doesn't stand there telling you what he is going to do for 90% of the video then give 10% content.
He was unbeatable in his time and no one wanted to go down the stretch in direct competition with him, he was a great golfer and is a national treasure.

I wholeheartedly agree with ya. He seems so calm and confident, why wouldn't you want that voice in your head while you're trying to replicate his tips on the range or on course? The guy is pure class.

What a coach. Faldo is straight forward and clear. Some folk don't like that, but tough luck. Champion.

Faldo is a great teacher. I find the nerves are worse on the last few holes if I'm playing well.

The thing with Nick is he has this funny manner when speaking that, I understand, can get some people off, not me, and hence the only reason why someone could dislike such a gentle giant, gigantic golfer. ♥️ I love his tips.

Overthinking is my problem in all aspects of life.
The best shots on the course, the best skating I’ve ever done, the best I’ve done at ANY hobby, my mind was clear, empty, and relaxed.
As for golf, there are some shots that require incredible skill... but mostly it’s emptying your mind and a slow swing.
I always overpower my down stroke and slice hard until I relax my swing.
Other than that, my short game is 😘 and my putting is even better.

In Nicks day, they played with feel. Growing up with watching Nick on TV every weekend, there wasn't the instruction like there is now. There was a few hard cover books on swings, that were boring as mud. Everything was how it felt. I think Nick does a grand job of teaching now, but you can tell, trying to teach someone how to feel their way round a course, when all their are looking for is stats and positions, is difficult. Too many golfers are trapped in what their swing looks like, what's my app saying? oh i'm 140 yards to the middle, I need to hit a full 8 iron. Play a round with no apps, no yardages, and just feel what you want around the course. It might not be pretty, but you'll shoot less. People these days want quick fixes to long term problems.

Yesterday, I went to the range before the game and hit 25 balls. 90% nice connect. Hit 4-5 drivers like arrow over 230 yards. Then I teed up and hit my first drive like a fabulous cricket straight drive for 130 yards and then duffed the 19 deg rescue from a fluffy lie. What gives??!!

Sometimes I will picture a face of someone that I dislike on the back of the ball and that really helps for making hot contact.

Faldo is a great teacher and was a phenomenal player in his day…..I just wish he wouldn’t insist on everyone calling him SIR Nick….the coolest and most humble knights of our realm always insist on being addressed by their first names….it makes Faldo look insecure
