What a fantastic bowl and what a beautiful finish Paul. You appear to have many strings to yur bow too with the writing. I really don't know where you working people get the time for all these interests.😃
@@bryaneltornerodemadera7397 thank you Bryan, I really appreciate your response 👍 It takes me about 5 years to write a book, you could say I’m a bit slow at it … and you’d be right 🤣 I’ve only ever read about 3 books, so that’s the real reason behind the time it takes …. Reading doesn’t come easy to me, it makes me really sleepy and I only get through one page before I’m pushing out the ‘Z’s’ 🤪
@@STMwoodturning Yes, it’s a lovely bit of wood. Urgh, that gouge is pointed too much. It’s 55 degree, but the problem is my cheap-ass budget! Cheap Amazon tool has a very sharp and deep v-cut! I’m slowly grinding it down to lessen the point! 😳
That is a nice piece of wood and a nice simple elegant bowl!
Thank you. I enjoyed turning this piece. I never turned ebony before, so didn't know what to expect. 👍🙂

Love the colors!
What angle are you sharpening your gouge at? Looks really pointed to me.
Cheers Paul!
