Hilary Hahn is the reason I picked up a violin for the first time at 44 years of age, 5 1/2 years ago. I came across a video when she was 15 playing Partita No 2, Bach’s Gigue in D Minor. I’m still absolutely horrible, but she’s always perfect :)

The Sul Ponticello is such a unique addition to Prokofiev's concerto, an already striking and exhilarating piece to listen to and play. Thank you for introducing this technique to me Hilary!
i read "in a nutshell", i thought of something simple, short and funny but it seems like it's another whole level of "in a nutshell". im not capable of this level :D

So illuminating to have a brilliant and articulate musician explain music from the perspective of the performer. It's like having a great actor explain a passage from Shakespeare.

I have been hearing this concerto for days now over and over, and I'm amazed by Prokofiev and Hilary Hanh. I really love all interpretations made by Hilary!!

It always amazes me as to the music that is being brought out for us to listen to. And in the hands of the master herself, truly magical. Thanks miss Hillary made my morning.
Hilary - Just drove through a severe storm on the NJ Turnpike. The speed limit is 70 mph, but because of the severity of the downpour, the traffic was only going at 35 mph. Your CD of the four Mozart violin Sonatas was playing on my in-car CD player. Believe me, Hilary, the good feelings that resulted from from your playing versus the anxiety of the wiper blades on high speed barely fast enough as well paying attention to traffic flow were counterbalanced by the thoughts your music creates in our minds, like thinking of all of the work you must have done in perfecting your skills. Your music and presence was very comforting during the "Sturm and Drang". Can't Thank You enough.
It is actually very refreshing to hear this level violin playing in a room that has virtually no reverb. Impeccable playing, amazing skills and incredible musicality. She is who she is for a reason!!!
I fell in love with this concerto because of you, Hilary. Thank you. It is indeed a wild ride. Especially the second movement -- I had no idea that a violin could even sound like that.
Same, I had never imagined that a violin could make such sounds. It takes a good violinist to make these sounds, and it takes an excellent violinist to make it sound good.
Why Hilary Hahn only has 185,000+ subscribers shocks me. Hilary deserves much more than that. I love TwoSetViolin, and think they are talented Violinists, but how can they have more subs than Hilary? She puts her soul into her playing, which carries through the sound waves to her listeners, is absorbed into our pores causing a tingling sensation through our bodies as we are transcended to another level of awareness, and consciousness.
Hillary, Ms. Hahn thank you so much, not only for the educational aspect in explaining Prokofiev's music but also including how you visualize musical passages. It was a lot of fun.
