- I played it without backing track and reverb, so you can better hear how i play it. I noticed that video looks like speeded up but its not. Its sloppy but shit happens. I've played about 4 and half years, guitar is esp sv standard.

yeah i agree with you franky, and it doesnt even really matter about how easy it is to do sweeping or the licks in general, what matters is that he played it PERFECTLY with a very clean tone. nice work.
Niko9876, the man is just going with what works for him. There are many players who have little quirks or odd ways of doing things(I for example will mostly do pinch harmonics on an upstroke), so lay off because it sounded fine.

Niko9876 is right... My picking hand looks disgusting cause im NOT able to do this perfectly and clean. There is huge difference if you compare this video and my beyond the dark sun vid. I can do that BTDS sweep almost perfectly so technique looks better too.

Thats correct. I know it should bend 1 fret but i bend it 2 frets, only because i think it sounds better like this when played without backing track.

They're overpriced garbage... a brand name with "vintage" cred.
They're worth maybe 500 bucks, but they sell for 3 grand because they're an old company.
It's pretty sad they're still in business when a $500 ESP Eclipse or a $1000 Carvin stomps a LP in every conceivable category.
i had the hardest time in the world with sweeps and sought help from any guitar player i know and im gona give u the advice they gave me just play em and play em then when ur done play em some more u just gotta keep doing it till u get it but once u do its well worth it
very nice playing there. im really strugling with that one, i can play it but not that fucking fast XD, btw do a video of you playing the solo before that :P
zazmeister they way you sweep cleanly is practice very slowly for a while and over the course of a few months it should happen for you...and just make sure the hand you pick with is really relaxed DONT TENSE UP =)

because people get pissed off when this guy's rocking the fuck out and playing insanely and all people like you pay attention to is the one note that didn't sound perfect (which I can't even find)...
they're expensive! cool, but expensive. and when you're not sitting, the guitars falls a bit in front of you because of it's weight.
however, it's a great guitar, if you dont hate EMG's sound.
It appears that he hasn't modded the guitar in any way whatsoever, therefore it's an EMG 81. So is the neck pickup, if I remember correctly (but the 85 and 60 are better for the neck position).

A guitar ,what do you fucking think- ESP is a popular japanese make, SV (striking V ) is the model, its based on Jackson RR, but IMO is better- I should know- ive played both and own one!

you have a interesting sweep style. you dont move your wrist when you sweep ypu move your whole arm. it still works and all, i was just noticing. your crazy good man.
whoa very nice man! i've been playing 4 years and a half now.. but my sweeps doesn't sound that good.. i just use a MT-2 pedal.. pure distortion no reverb :(

My only suggestion would be to get rid of that Line 6 (Line SUX) amp and play a real amplifier.. AKA.. Tube amp.
so after 4 years you can play it, why it took you so long? im not that good as you are but after 6 months of playing i am able to plat kissing the shadow
its a nice guitar, but id rather a Bc rich V or a dean VX. too many mother fuckers have the damn jackson v's. but they are nice guitars none the less

Line 6 is great for studio recording or recording youtube vids.
It's just not good for playing big shows.
