- Here’s a freshly arranged (3 days ago) best loved piano piece by Debussy - Clair de Lune. I’ve always wanted to play this but since my piano skills is comme ci comme ça, but I reckon singing it would be much easier. lol
Did you know that the original title of Clair de Lune (Moonlight) was actually Promenade sentimentale (Sentimental stroll). This poem is more likely to have been the inspiration for the music. The poem begins: “Le couchant dardait ses rayons suprêmes Et le vent berçait les nénuphars blêmes” (The setting sun cast its final rays And the breeze rocked the pale water lilies). Listen to the whole piece and be enthralled by Debussy's music. I just love how the self-reflecting nature of the piece evokes different emotions and touches one's soul.
Have a calming and relaxing Sunday before the chaos tomorrow. lol
God bless us all!
