I am originally from New England but now live in the south. There are creepy places every where but there is something about the southern atmosphere. Old roads in my home state have a spooky air about them. There are old cellar holes way back in the woods where people once lived but live no more. Old cemeteries too. I assume there are the same places in rural areas of the south. Lots of history in both parts of the country. Great stories and the telling of them. Thank you.

In the early eighties as teenagers would go to a secluded place in the woods. It was the perfect Partying Spot!!! There was a Boulder that someone had written the lyrics to the song "Stairway to Heaven" because Their Friend was Killed There. We always went to that rock to give our Condolences and it was just a beautiful Memorial the person had Made for their friend. There were people that would go up there and do their little witchcraft gatherings and rituals. When we would stumble across those people we would turn and go the Opposite Direction. Not out of fear because they weren't sacrificing any animals or people. They just did their rituals. Then all of a sudden after we had been going there for years, there were people doing witchcraft and they began sacrificing animals. We were all animal lovers and that was just evil to us. We even made the comment that damn the next thing they're going to be doing is sacrificing people!..... .........,... We went there One weekend and it was closed off and we were not allowed to enter. We entered anyways of course because we had been going there for years and knew it like the back of our hands. We started getting eerie weird vibes and we stumbled across a witchery ritual going on. I don't even want to repeat the things they were saying and praising the devil. So we left and between us all we couldn't figure out why we had such a bad feeling when we saw THIS SET OF Devil Worshipping Witches, but we went by our instincts and got the hell out of there. Come to find out................ They had begun sacrificing People!!! It's still closed off to this day but people do still go out there. Our group of friends stopped going!!!! We were thrill seekers but didn't want to die in the process of seeking for thrills!!! 😱 I don't remember the name of it but it is around Lithonia Ga. That was over 40 years ago.
