If you want to help, I sure could use a Stealth 3 ball arsenal! Just kidding, Nick! You have been a tremendous help, honestly. With me starting my bowling adventure in January, with a whopping 49 high score. Then finding your videos a few months later, asking lots of questions (sorry!😮), and taking your advice. It's helped me reach that 211 high score and climbing (🤞🏼). Granted, that 211 came at the sacrifice of taking my beautifully shiny glass-like Theorem to a dull finish. But it works! I couldn't thank you enough. I would take that Stealth arsenal, though! 😂😂😂
I use my ppl hammer in house shot league. When the backends are screaming. That way I don’t have to open up the lane so much, and even more so since I’m rev. dominant! Great video
Love your humor and transparency, Nick! And I really liked you walking through your thought process for non-house shot tournaments! Thanks for that insight.
thanks and im happy with u useing house shoot / ur right thats all i bowl on now days use to do sport but that was long ago / if it looks good on house tho should look good on anything.
7:36 I wouldn't be cursing you I love when somebody brings a ball that has a lot of surface and breaks down the pattern and open up the shot I've heard of guys bringing just one ball with them to break down the pattern and their bag sometimes it has 180 surface and they use that ball just to break down the pattern in practice so that way you can get a little Miss area and open up the lanes to get a little swing area
I have always wanted to put a pattern down.....in reverse..... KOSI won't let me do it from the foul line but I think I'm going to try running the machine from the deck and chase it to stop it at the foul line.
Without your collab-crossover you did with Sarah who I friended because of her friend Hayley who I met in 2016, I wouldn’t be a subscriber to begin with! This is my 1st time binge watching your solo videos Nicky! You’re just as good as they are as well as Sarah’s friend Audrey! Keep being awesome!
We as bowlers need more options to bowl on patterns as some will desire experience but only have tournaments to practice and that will be cumbersome to many
Thanks for the tips. My most aggressive ball wasn't hooking in 2 different leagues getting a detox... but if still happens it's probs myself so will look at pads and now urethane
Here’s a question. Mo once talked about using a resin ball with a short pin layout vs a urethane. Have you ever used resin with a short pin layout. Can you do a comparison with urethane and a short pin resin ball on the same shot.
Yay, no 8-pin! 😂🤣 On a serious note, Nick, I really appreciate the tip on getting lined up on tougher patterns. I’m taking this with me for the next 10-game Black Friday marathon in Woodstock, GA.
@brunsnick I never made it to the pros but I used to bowl several amateur events yearly and bowled several leagues a week. Now it's one a week and about 4 tournaments. About all the old body can take.
I'm sure there are lots of great bowlers out there can relate to having given the PBA a shot and settled into an alternative groove. Without extensive practice on the patterns, on various lane surfaces, and readily available equipment and coaching, for most people a successful PBA career is unlikely. However, a day job plus amateur tournaments on the weekend can be a lot of fun, and a much more stable source of income.
Nick got a question not sure if it stupid but. Let’s say you hit the mesmerize with surface then hit it with a polish. Does that defeat the purposed or do you still got the so call teeth on the ball but with a shine on it. Basically if you hit any ball with a pad and then a polish is it a waste of time for what you just did with the pad in the first place. Thank you another great video much appreciated ❤
This video triggered me lol😂... Just had a roughish time on PBA Badger tonight. Nothing more special than playing a shot my balls do nothing on. I have no big solid balls, so I was going with Envy Tour Solid at 500
Nick you’ve forgot more about bowling than I will ever learn but I’m just curious why you don’t you ever try throwing it straight down the lane around the first arrow and let it break into the pocket when it hits the dry similar to a Walter Ray Williams shot? I don’t remember ever seeing one of your reviews in which you used a down and in type of shot.
@@brooksa4579 there’s just not enough oil out there on the Crown Jewel house pattern. I’d have to throw it 19-20mph and cut down the revs a lot to make it work.
@brunsnick I caught that. I heard some people say it was just the tour some say it's all pba. I just was making sure. I definitely was about to put mine back in the lineup for regionals 🤣
I peer pressured my league mate to go 2 handed, he's tall with long arms! He's been experimenting with my balls and I brought my Purple Hammer 16 pound to practice, because I was promised fresh oil (Very rare!!). His first shot, he threw at such and angle, if it were any other ball, would be in the right gutter by the arrows. It recovered so perfect and hit the pocket for a strike. It was magical! I hope he gets his own!
Video was okay. Not a sport pattern player. Have you done a review or your thoughts on the track archetype bowling ball. Went to 13 lbs on new balls and we with this ball then hammer ocean vibe then storm ball for third game
Both Archetype balls are in Nick's videos on here and are some of my favorites (the videos and the balls). I've watched each video at least a dozen times. Lol. Still waiting for my Archetypes to get drilled. First, I'll drill my two 12 lb balls and then two 14 lb, once my hand and wrist injuries heal. I hope that you enjoy yours.
@@GrumpaBaggins For those injuries have you checked out his recent video with the lady who switched to the sarge Easter (sp?) grip? That grip really seems to help with hand and wrist injuries.
@@ObjectiveEthics yeah, the one with Sarah was great. I am considering trying the grip out. My injuries have been healing, thankfully, but I had to stop trying to hook the ball with my wrist and just use surface to friction changes.
Do your reviews on my house shot and you'd throw lots of gutters. You throw any ball out to 5 board and you'll be lucky to get 3 off the right. Almost every ball you test, 4-5 board is the breakpoint, so just about any ball will get to the pocket on that Crown Jewel 13-1 ratio pattern. I quit watching cause of this "test" pattern.
