Man this is incredibly helpful. Noob here and even trying to figure out the components and interrelation of them on an FPV quad has been tough. Several light bulb moments here. Thank you!
Thanks Chad and RR/Tommy for taking the time to make another very detailed video for the fans and anyone new coming into this hobby. Chars an awesome soul.👍🏼
Chad, you helped me build my first alien and now you're helping me build my reverb! You're the best, mate! Grateful to have you back, even if it's just for a moment. Cheers!
A video that has something for everybody including an appearance by FGA, being out of focus at times and having annoying reverberating sounds all done especially to piss the detractors off; a very detailed, standard-setting quadcopter build for ImpulseRC and KISS converts and experimenters alike; extra special but very clever building tweaks for all FPV enthusiasts; all wrapped up in a easy-on-the-eye package by a very experienced, no-bullshit, clear and concise, huge enthusiastic presenter so that people interesting in this hobby, either now or in the future, will be able to watch how to build your own, over and over again just like the immensely successful first build video of the Alien all those years ago. Much respect Chad.
Great build video - I learned a lot. Love those little tweaks you add Chad, very handy. Not surprising your Reverb design is the highest selling quad out there - most cost effective against all the other "original designs." I notice that its recommended by the major distributors/retailers (including RR :-)). I love mine - so durable, surprisingly well balanced in the air and so easy to build. Congrats.
Chad you are a classic how you keeped it together with all the carpenters going on in the background & cutting 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👌well done , I think steel would have died with that noise 😁👍& great video
great to see your making videos again. your early videos from years ago helped me alot into this amazing hobby. the intro and end had me cracking up, looked like you guys had alot of fun making this, keep it up.
Thank you so much for this new video. You have done it again. You're Alien build was a masterpiece and now you have the Reverb build - brilliant. Am I a FinalGlideAus fanboy, yes I am. You make it much easier to get into this fpv world. It is also good to see you again. Please keep up the good work when you feel inspired. Also, thanks for 3D Graffiti and the Removing oneself... videos.
One of my favorite guys. Chad you look and sound well my friend. Very good to hear from you. You have came such a long way in my book and deserve a pat on the back and a nod, we all have our faults but it takes a man to stand up and face them head on and be able to forgive and forget and to move on. I know you must feel much better and clear & clean minded as it really shows. Hats off brother, and great build video. I’m still waiting on that PDB but will start buying the components for the build. I am a 100% an Alien guy but I’m gonna do a couple Reverbs just to have a test. And of course to support some of my favorite manufacturers, pilots, and such .. C-ya ... 👍😎
RotorRiot build video, amazing build , the first build what i have seen mention what props he use for the build , i dont know but this is important for me , rotor keep going
i wish chad was one of my teachers back when i was still in college... he's just one of those guys that makes sharing knowledge fun and interesting. Thank you Chad!!! i'm starting a new build soon because i'm fed up with my wizard and all its problems and no doubt i will be revisiting this video and your alien video :)
I followed the RR Alien build video loads of times and used it when I built my first KISS setup too. I’m planning on putting a KISS v2 Reverb together soon so this video will come in really handy. Good to see you as a guest on here again too man. 🙂
Great build video, one of the best I have seen. Only suggestion, Blu Tack under the ESC's when you were tinning, works a treat! That is one amazing PDB.. Just bought one, along with that frame. Thank you
I love the look and feel of this frame. I built this for someone when it first came out and it’s really good quality. I’m up to my neck in Stingy frames but if I wasn’t, I’d probably be using this one.
Wow, thx dude. I chose the Reverb for my first KISS build and then I came across this video. Needless to say it has helped immensensly. Only difference is I am using crsf, not necessarily for distance but for the link quality, ok I do go a bit further than what my camera likes now and then😁 Thx a bunch for the video.
Actually don’t need the second gnd wire for the camera control with this PDB, mine works fine without it at least. I think that gnd is more for when you use the controller that comes with the camera. Piggy backing the audio pad with the smart audio pad gives you both smart, and actual audio. Couldn’t get that to work with KISS V2 on Steele PDB, everything on this PDB just works and set up is a breeze! Love this PDB
A.I. Thinker good to hear. I was wondering that but never had a chance to test without it as I normally use the Predator. I’ll leave out that wire on future builds of mine that use the Eagle. Thanks mate :)
It's ok but when I work with bi-component epoxy, I'm used to remove the masking tape as soon as the mixture is getting jelly (by doing as you did, the risk is to get some tape trapped on ESC by the fully cured resin). Excellent video as always Mr. Nowak, it' full of useful advice. Thanks a lot.
Who is this new Aussie guy on Rotor riot :) Chad really seems to know his stuff... Wish Chad could build, deliver & train me how to tune & fly one too :)
Used this frame for my first build. Overall I really like it, the only improvements I would make are: 1. A way to simply get the correct camera tilt (though I understand from reading a comment that this wasn't possible due to space) 2. It would be nice if the arms were a bit wider, the KISS ESCs stick out which I think could make them more vulnerable to impacts, but probably not that big a problem. I'd recommend not using the antenna mounts and instead use the full standoffs and doing the cable-tie/heatshrink method, as on my first crash one of the mounts snapped. Could be that I was just very unlucky however and the cold weather may have contributed to it's brittleness
could i use your kiss setup on a Kiss V1 with 24a esc's? If not would you have a base setup for a Reverb with a Kiss V1, 24a esc's with Luminier 2306/2350 kv motors, with a tramp and go pro session mounted? Thanks for all you do.
Do fatshark goggles Require a FRsky VTX? Or just any VTX would work?… Also does a Taranis(frsky) remote need a (FRsky) rx? Or can any receiver work for it?
Well, I watched it and I was not really bothered by the shaking very much, because it was edited well. I really like the convenient plug in PDB design. Can I use one of these PDBs in an alien?
Just did my maiden on the Reverb:), I’m using Mr.Steeles pids from his Alien V1 builds. Would you have any recommend pid settings with the Kiss V1 and 24 amp escs? It has a GoPro session and lumenier 2300kv 2206 motors
Thank you so much! Best build I've seen so far. I do have one question. Are your settings the same for mode 2? Or would this get set on the taranus. This will be my first build so I'm still trying to figure all this out :) thanks again!
I’m in the middle of building my Reverb atm. I’m using the Le Drib Hypetrains. Both the alloy bolts from impulse and the steel bolts in the motor box would only be in the motors by 3 threads. Is that enough? Worried they going to strip first crash.
Great build video, not sure what's up with the 23 thumbs down though. They make these builds so damn easy now! Everything is almost plug-n-play compared to quad build 3 years ago!
Just finished an almost identical build. (only different motors and VTX) Now trying to connect the KISS FC V2 to my MacBook via USB just like Chad, but cannot get it to work. (Latest GUI installed) Any ideas? been searching allover the net today.
18:30 don't just use a napkin with water on it. This can lead to oxidisation in the joins and corrosion over time. Nice tutorial otherwise, though. Surprised the manufacturer hasn't done something similar to the ESC's, to make them tougher.
Gonna use this for building my Reverb. Not using kiss but vid will help a lot. Good job there 👍👍👍. Though for god sake ditch the autofocus and switch to manual focus,
Fucking good work! building my Reverb as soon as i get the new PDB which should be next week hopefully. Your video will help a lot as well as your FC settings to get me to a good starting point.
Deeshank-FPV whatever you do don’t buy anything that isn’t completely original or he will snap at you in his live stream when you were legitimately asking a question without trying to troll or anything but he snapped and cussed me out for a solid 5-10 minutes so now I always bring up the $25 clone that is made of great carbon and even cut directionally correct! Or you could spend $100+ whateve
Mini Quads Mega Fun an affordable and legit frame is the tbs source one . I've got one in the packaging still and looking forward to popping its cherry with a 5s setup sooner or later. Such a sexy frame . It's no chameleon but its sexy.
"Kinda preferred" infers you make decisions by gut feel and intuition. So your point is? Lol.
the good old days of RR. Love Chad was super blessed to meet him at Flitefest.
we all love you missed you brother.... Rotor Riot was not even close to the same with out you... top pilot top man
HomeGrownCanadianFPV thanks mate, I’ll still be around from time to time.
Cheers
Been flying the Reverb on Butterflight for about 2 months now. Countless branches, crashes, and tumbles. Great rugged frame. Love it.
TheBojengles good to hear you are enjoying the frame mate :)
Chars an awesome soul.👍🏼
this is my second watch in preparation for my Reverb Kiss V2 build this week. Great video thank you Rotor Riot.
Chad!!! Great that you are back!! 😃
yes.. that first video got me in the air as a first build/ never soldered before guy.. you're the man
Chad, you helped me build my first alien and now you're helping me build my reverb! You're the best, mate! Grateful to have you back, even if it's just for a moment. Cheers!
TheDroningPreacher so awesome to hear these build videos are helping man :)

I’m just here for Chad, I don’t even own a Reverb!!!
OutaTime FPV same
Jea
Awe! That’s sweet! Lol!

The Chad is back in full effect !
Can't wait to see the VL walkinshaw build !
PLEASE STAY, YOU ARE one of the best. and you are needed on RR.
OdinnFPV I’m sure I will be around from time to time. You still have the Tommy awesomeness at least :)
Thanks for that Chad! I just finished building my Reverb. This is nowhere near my first build, but it it's good to watch and learn new things. -Danny
The legend himself. The reverb is the best! You killed it with this design chad
worthlessdays * great to hear you are enjoying the frame!
My fav OG RR pilots: Carlos (peace be upon him), Chad, Steele, and Tommy
Glad this video came out, I find it helpful figuring out what parts to go with.
He's back!!!! Cheers Chad! I fly the Reverb and love it!!!!
TodZilla151 FPV great to hear mate

C-ya ... 👍😎
Jason Hull thank you for the amazingly kind words my friend!
2nd reverb. Stoked on the OSD and trying Kiss for the first time. Thanks for bringing so many things to FPV.
I've built two quads now off of the guidance of this video. Thanks man.
RotorRiot build video, amazing build , the first build what i have seen mention what props he use for the build , i dont know but this is important for me , rotor keep going
This video comes at EXACTLY the right moment.
I'm planning a Reverb build with KISS v2 so this is really helpful.
Thanks Chad, really appreciate it!
RobbieFPV awesome, hopefully it helps.
So far the only thing that isn't helpful is the availability of the wolf pdb. Everybody keeps buying the last one right in front of me haha.
Thanks Chad and so glad you are back!
That’s a sweet looking quad, can’t wait for my frame to arrive, ordered it and the Wolf pdb yesterday!
Glad to see FGA back doing stuff with RR.
nice work guys, great to see Chad in action!
i wish chad was one of my teachers back when i was still in college... he's just one of those guys that makes sharing knowledge fun and interesting. Thank you Chad!!! i'm starting a new build soon because i'm fed up with my wizard and all its problems and no doubt i will be revisiting this video and your alien video :)
Kaoss well said, I feel the same about Chad. Cool guy, really likes his fans and friends.
Kaoss thanks mate
I have missed content like this!
I followed the RR Alien build video loads of times and used it when I built my first KISS setup too.
I’m planning on putting a KISS v2 Reverb together soon so this video will come in really handy.

Dav great to hear it will come in handy mate
Great build video, one of the best I have seen. Only suggestion, Blu Tack under the ESC's when you were tinning, works a treat! That is one amazing PDB.. Just bought one, along with that frame. Thank you
Happy to see you back with RR Chad!!
The unfocused camera work in this video is unbelievably frustrating..
As is the idiot who just had to cut tiles, or whatever that noise in the background toward the beginning was, while they were filming. 😉
So much in and out of focus, I can't carry on watching. Really bad camera work.
Cheers Chad the first build video was principle in my first quad build. Thanks mate
Callum Sgt cheers buddy
Thanks Chad! Awesome video... Just finished my build ready to fly!
This is amazing, thank you. I'll end up buying a reverb as my first 5 inch for sure.
I love the look and feel of this frame. I built this for someone when it first came out and it’s really good quality.
I’m up to my neck in Stingy frames but if I wasn’t, I’d probably be using this one.
Haven’t seen the entire thing yet, but I’ll come back to this video. Just wanted to say hello!
Joe Kunsch hello :)
Awesome timing! Im going to be rebuilding my reverb with the wolf PDB tomorrow. NIce!
Awesome!! I built my very first kwad (5" alien) to your previous video. These videos are a great resource.
LeonFPV great to hear it’s helped mate
What a coincidence, I just bought one and it arrived in the mail yesterday. Sweet.
Tygron nice timing then
Wow, thx dude. I chose the Reverb for my first KISS build and then I came across this video. Needless to say it has helped immensensly. Only difference is I am using crsf, not necessarily for distance but for the link quality, ok I do go a bit further than what my camera likes now and then😁
Thx a bunch for the video.
We love you Chad
so glad he is back
Awww thanks mate :)
my favorite rotor riot pilot .
ziggyzbeak R.C. Aww thanks :)
My doctor said W.T.F. were you thinking? I told him Chad told me, "one hand and twist!"
Thanks for this video! I'm about to build my first quad, which will be the Reverb.
DUST35 awesome! :)
I fly Raceflight but I’m strongly considering giving Kiss and this pdb OSD a try
You're the best along with Carlos (charpu), Chad I'm glad to see you again ...

Thanks a lot.
Will the motors beep when the battery voltage is low?? From dshot commands?
Been waiting for this bad boy cheers chad 👍. Built my mates for him n can’t get telemetry for esc to work 😤
Are they working on setting up the Reverb pdb osd to work with a Mac? That would be awesome:)
New video, same old Testicle twisting jokes. Chad never disappoints. Love u bro
Who is this new Aussie guy on Rotor riot :) Chad really seems to know his stuff... Wish Chad could build, deliver & train me how to tune & fly one too :)
You mean Chad Nowak (Founding Member/CoPresenter)
Used this frame for my first build. Overall I really like it, the only improvements I would make are:

Just starting a fresh Reverb build now - wish me luck! 😆
could i use your kiss setup on a Kiss V1 with 24a esc's? If not would you have a base setup for a Reverb with a Kiss V1, 24a esc's with Luminier 2306/2350 kv motors, with a tramp and go pro session mounted? Thanks for all you do.
Chad! The quality of the bobbins in your PDB kit is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than other bobbins on the market. Gotta sell them individually!!
He's back! Good ta see ya Chad
William Stewart you too!
Love your build videos
Death to clones! Nice build, looking forward to getting one of your OG frames!👍
Do fatshark goggles Require a FRsky VTX? Or just any VTX would work?… Also does a Taranis(frsky) remote need a (FRsky) rx? Or can any receiver work for it?
Will the Kakute F7 AIO flight controller fit in this frame?
Well, I watched it and I was not really bothered by the shaking very much, because it was edited well.
I really like the convenient plug in PDB design.
Can I use one of these PDBs in an alien?
Kenneth Wang I’m sure you could install the PDB in the Alien but it require some fiddling to clear the center press nuts.
I built this setup with a kiss v1 and wold osd pdb, would you know how to setup smart audio? Thanks
Great video ! Can you share your F40 PID please ? :)
Great build as always Chad! Just was a bit annoyed by the out of focus cuts but nevertheless great detailed build.
w̅a̅p̅f̅p̅v̅ Thanks mate :)
would these pids work well with the Revereb Kiss V1/wolf pdb and 24 a escs with the lumenier rx2206 2350kv motors?
I’m in the middle of building my Reverb atm. I’m using the Le Drib Hypetrains. Both the alloy bolts from impulse and the steel bolts in the motor box would only be in the motors by 3 threads. Is that enough? Worried they going to strip first crash.
Can someone link me to the filter Aus uses in the front of his camera mount?
Should epoxy the 24amp Kiss escs? Thanks
ImpulseOSD Softwarre will it work wit the Mr Steele Alien PDB??
When flashing the flight controller and escs you don’t have to push the boot loader button?
Not for V2 KISSFC
Great build video, not sure what's up with the 23 thumbs down though. They make these builds so damn easy now! Everything is almost plug-n-play compared to quad build 3 years ago!
Did you file all the edges of the carbon? Thanks
No I don't bother anymore. The carbon doesn't have super sharp edges like in the past
Just finished an almost identical build. (only different motors and VTX)
Now trying to connect the KISS FC V2 to my MacBook via USB just like Chad, but cannot get it to work. (Latest GUI installed) Any ideas? been searching allover the net today.
Where can i find the whole parts list?
Should the serial config be set to OSD like the Steele PDB?
chad is this compatible with the kiss 25a 4 in 1? if so how do we connect? thanks!
Great review!!
18:30 don't just use a napkin with water on it. This can lead to oxidisation in the joins and corrosion over time.
Nice tutorial otherwise, though.
Surprised the manufacturer hasn't done something similar to the ESC's, to make them tougher.
If you don't have one you seriously need to think about buying one TS100 is amazing!
Gonna use this for building my Reverb. Not using kiss but vid will help a lot. Good job there 👍👍👍. Though for god sake ditch the autofocus and switch to manual focus,
Im using a foxeer predator v2. Where do I put the VSEN wire?
MrLazyHog you don’t need it as you are not using the cameras inbuilt OSD at all
Anyone know the Ts100 tip? I'm not very happy with the stock Ts100 tip
Are there plans to allow a Mac computer to program the OSD with a wolf Pdb?
s5150 there is already a basic flashing tool for the Mac and in time the full program will be released in sure.
Aloha Chad! Does Rotor Riot sell everything in the video as a kit?
So will 2207 2700v motors work well on a 7" reverb?
Great video. Btw you guys really need a better stabilization/focusing system in your close up camera...
Lol. Lots of Reverb in the audio :)
Fucking good work! building my Reverb as soon as i get the new PDB which should be next week hopefully. Your video will help a lot as well as your FC settings to get me to a good starting point.
urbanracer01 great! I hope the video helps
Perfect tutoriel ! 🙂👍
Wish I had the means to buy all the exact electronics and frame . !! Lol ..
I built my first kwad after watching the alien build .. ;)
Mini Quads Mega Fun no clones .!!! Never at least with frames . the one and only reason I use locally designed frames in India :)
No issue with a private opinion from a member of the community who clearly tests quads in-depth to extreme and posts few videos but I hate to tell you, just in case you hadn't noticed, the Alien and the Reverb are actually different frames. So your point is? Lol.
What was the cost of this build? Looking to possibly get into these. Just curious what they can cost. Thanks
