there are led bulbs that will fit just fine. the first ones I got were terrible and kept popping out, a real pain. but I finally found some that fit great.
I’m just curious with everything I’ve heard about how tight things are in the pre 78 dashes, you made sure the socket fit on the back of the tach but is there enough room when it’s back in the dash? Don’t know how much room is back there
There’s enough room, but it’s just hard when you have to have the dash nearly all the way in to get the wires connected. I have half a mind to make my own quick connect (but I won’t)
@@thedrivewayC3 LOL, when I went in to reply I see you've got a new video loaded for me to watch tonight that appears to have it in. I'm so glad mine is a later one where the bulbs just pop in and twist ;)
Another step closer. Sweet tip

These seem to work well too. I got them from a link someone posted on the CorvetteForum.com, so I trusted it.

@@michaelriley3110 Yes, I think the 1-wire with metal clip is not the best - but it’s OK as long as it’s working.
@@thedrivewayC3 Probably why they changed it in 78 LOL
I said “shrink wrap” for shrink tubing 😂
Do those LEDs dim and brighten when you twist the headlight knob? Just curious.
They are dimmable, but I haven’t tested them in the car.

What brand and part number, if I may inquire?

I have to see if I can find my receipt. The Corvette Forum might be a good place to ask/search.
