Hello Mikes, i really love your work, this tutorial is amazing and i am following each of your publications to learn and creat my own Rts. I hope we will see mechanics like in Blitzkrieg who use fuel for vehicles and limited amo, also the atach mechanic is great. Next tutorial Refinery + harvester like in c&c3? ❤
@@Mikes-Code i have a lot of ideas if you need inspiration ^^ you can learn us how to make squads like in C&C3 or CoH or DoW ^^. peraps how to use a cover systeme (this one will be a real challenge i think) enter in a building and shoot by it ^^. they are a lot of mechanics who are realy good on ThQ games. How to track an artillery piece with a truck =P. Talking about CoH make me think about units skills like drawing or even lauch a grenade, repare a véhicle ^^. If you need more just ask ^^ i will follow you with stars in my eyes!
@@Lucifera1000 There are many different cool things that can be done, but I first try to focus on teaching the main aspects of RTS, the "core" mechanics. After this is done, we can continue to more "specific" features.👍
@@Lucifera1000 We will add tank units. Probably also turrets. I will also show how to animate them. But again, it depends on how detailed and complex you want your game.
Mike do you have experience working on a team that made an RTS game before? You have such specific knowledge on the genre, did you ever publish an RTS? Love the series.
Hey Mike, I am a godot dev, I wanna make an rts game in unity for fun and to learn unity, do you know where this series is going and where it ends? What kind of topics/concepts are you planning to implement in the future?
I feel like there is way too much stuff added to the units in the UI. Could for example create a singleton that accesses the buyingsystem, and then in the buy slot use that singleton. Both image and sprites on each unit seems redundant and shouldn't there be a way to find the ID from the database using the name of the asset, or something to that effect.
@@Mikes-Code do you have ever played jurassic war 1 ? it's a masterpiece and there is no other rts like this, jurassic with magic, go on map to gather food and experience your guys, equip them with weapons, killing dinosaurs
Mike, I really love your tutorials. I constantly learn something new and interesting!!!
NICE! keep up the good work

@@CJBPROJECT No, never worked with a team. And never published an RTS.
Just doing my best to make a helpful tutorial..
@@Mikes-Code Why not start a team to create an RTS team?
I'm a software engineer and tbh the only thing stopping me is modelling

Hi, Mike!
Do you know why my UI might have stopped being interactable?
Everything worked from the previous lesson :(
Okay, i figured it out: creditsUI just overlapped with building UI
