The client dinner with herb scene from Mad Men Season 6 episode 6 - "For Immediate Release". Includes Don's "I love puppies" line and other sick burns.

Then Don told Roger that Marie was in town, and Roger insisted on including her. At the last minute, Roger had to attend to an urgent matter with Chevron and was unable to join the dinner.

Not really tho, that’s the worst “French Canadian” I’ve ever heard. That’s too bad cuz mad men is so focused on details like this usually. Everyone in Megan’s family speaks a different kind of French lol
This is one "shit" client that won't be satisfied unless he bitches constantly to get the "upper hand." I'm so glad Don Draper gave it to him. Who needs this guy to maneuver more out of the advertising company? I would give him the boot too!
I love puppies.
Don gave him...The High Hat!!!
Never felt better. DAAAAAMN
" I love puppies "
Herb never should have left Ginny. That bike shop was better than any car dealership.
Herb reminds me of Herb Tarlack from WKRP in Cincinatti. I wonder if they gave the name to the character based on him.
..would you like me to break this bottle over her head? ha ha priceless!!
I love Marie!
They put Mad Men behind the AMC paywall on Amazon, can't rewatch anymore hahaha...
😏
Sterling, wateva happened there..
And like that , Lane died for nothing
Nobody asked Lane to die over anything. Don's only guilty of not handing Lane over to the police.
@@Beaver_Monday typical American self centred hubris

I love Marie in this scene
Donald is such a hoot.
He has moxy.
How many times have we had to use an I love puppies line during a useless empty calories conversation
That, "Are you OK?" hit Don hard. He knows he has a problem. Megan knows he has a problem. It was just the worst time for it to come out. I really hate Megan.
Christ I feel so bad for Joan
“I love puppies.”
Herb was grotesque but Don could have just ignored him instead of firing him
He crossed the line & broke the back of Don's patience by oogling Meghan & passing comments on her appearance. The look on Don's face before he gives Herb his walking papers is him looking at Herb & seeing nothing but a greedy, avaricious & self-absorbed blob of a bully who will never be satisfied with anything you give him - he will take everything you've done for him & then assess it as substandard & demanding one. More. Thing. Ad Nauseam. In that moment Don thought "Fuck THAT."
@@morganbeare1764Sounds like you’re talking about someone you know personally.
i love Marie
Could someone to tell me what it means to "write flyers at lots"?
CLASSIC!
notice how don stood up while the ladies left.
he may be a complete dirtbag but he's classy and a gentleman in public.
Don at this point never forgave him for what he did with Joan situation. He was probably looking any excuse to punch him in the face.
Classic Don
The mother speaks a very tedious French. They went for an english speaking actor that speaks little French... such a weird choice. Also Megan is from Québec, her father in the show speaks a very France French accent and her mother is english.... Such a great show but they dropped the ball on this one.
The ball was made in the US.
They're not the show for a French speaking audience...you do realize.
Not only this one...In a scene Don says Hilton means fresh towel in Farsi while it absolutely has no meaning in Farsi. This show is great enough to sell but why would they lie to face of their audience!
Her French is so bad it's painful.
@@masoud.amr71 lool nah that was for a campaign
couldn't they find an actress who could actually speak french to play Megan's mom?
Maybe they just couldn't find one that was good enough or they wanted her anyway. While she does have an accent, her french is quite impeccable; it always surprise me because I half expect her to say something that doesn't make sense.
@@rayprime8530 Her French isn't impeccable at all.
@@cahouette Well, I mean it in the sense that her wording makes a lot more sense than I'd expect it to, considering her tone and accent is super shaky.
Ray Prime No lol, as a French Canadian, it’s simply awful. Everyone in Megan’s family speaks french with a different accent lol. At least Megan and her sister do sound like they’re from Quebec.
I´m looking for a scene in the series. Don is working on a campaign but he seems distracted. He goes to the agency´s archives and pulls out an ad that says something like "she got what you need". I´ve been looking for it but I can´t seem to find the episode.
keep looking, then.
It's definitely sometime in season 6. I remember because that's the episode when Jim Cutler has the doctor in to give everyone shots.
It’s the episode where ken tap dances and the whole office is hyped cause of some drug
"The Crash", Season 6, episode 8
This show really makes me want to start back up with smoking.
I think your body is telling you something. I suggest you listen to it.
I just watched that episode yesterday what the fuck RUclips
It's hard to say that Don was in the wrong here.
Meris not really. He made a brash decision that made all of previous sacrifices by his coworkers (ESPECIALLY Joan) meaningless. It was satisfying though!
@@chaseb5376 I think it was justified. The partners decided about Joan's "actions" while Don had left the room which resulted in the account in the first place. I like to think this was Don's takeback for the partners for deciding anyway behind his back.
@@lennartschiphorst7849 Meanwhile completely forgetting about Joan and making decisions for her. Only to take it away from her. Doing this to her only to get a little bit of petty payback to the partners is unreasonable at best imo
@@chaseb5376 you're absolutely right. However, isn't that a character trait that goes well with Don's ego? Losing a valuable account and sacrificing a collaegue's dignity in order to get at the right end of things sounds like a true Draper move to me. ;)
Lennart Schiphorst Oh of course lol. I’m not hating on the writing at all. I’m not surprised at all Don would do this. It’s just not morally right imo. But Don wasn’t always a morally right guy (obvs). Taking control and making an alpha move for his own benefit even at the cost of others is Don’s MO.
anyone know the restaurant or how i could look that up?
I wondered the same thing. Beautiful place...wish I could dine there.
I think that was filmed at the Campbell Apartment....?
doubt it most of this was filmed in LA
Herb was an absolute scumbag. I'm glad Draper told him off.
Julia can do the accent really well, but I hate listening to her speaking French...
It's very veeery poor french
I did not like the character of Don Draper-- although the portrayal is accurate of the assholes of the time in big business.
Look the kid has talent. So let him in on the meeting with the ad agency. Make up some stroy about his position. Let him hear and see what is being proposed. Let him give his advice and done. You dont end up insulting the people your working with. And you get the opinion of your man.
But no you have no manners and dont see how insulting it is for some pamphlet printer in your office that makes next to nothing vet the work of a man pulling down a huge salary and does ads for a living.
I don’t get why Don was so offended. Can someone explain?
Because he wanted to continue taking advantage, to fulfill all his whims in exchange for continuing in Jaguar. The same thing Lee Garner Jr did with Roger.
Imagine that Gordon Ramsey is your personal chef. Then imagine that he has standing offers from 10 other people to be their personal chef. Now imagine that you set up a special occasion where you make a comment about his wife and then explain that the whole night is about giving Gordon the name of your nephew because he makes a mean plate of nachos.
"...Like knowing where your bread is buttered".
It's called 3 appetizers and 4 breakfasts for a man 'your size'.
Marie is pretty dang hot. *-growl-*
the way joan was treated--apalling, but unfortunately not surprising
Herb was the first realistic guy on this show
He's also disgusting
Edriss Scofield I’m sorry your luck with men has been so bad, then.
Honestly Don and his whole group just seem like jerks here. Does he even actually like puppies or is that just some rude sarcastic remark? Don't trust him at all. Still love the show though
Biden dealt with Trump this way.
What a terrible "French" accent.
The French think anything outside of Paris is bad.
Fuck France
Hahaha Megan`s mum I love her!
