It is deep because the composer is trying to share his feeling about those years tragic situations (one of them :Armenian genocide)thats why it’s emotional.Because he didn’t have a childhood like the rest of the kids on the other side of the planet. He lost a lot of people from his family he saw the pain ,the suffering in front of his eyes.🇦🇲
nonsense. it's just a children's album dedicated to his children and nephews and nieces. it's used a lot in post soviet countries in piano teaching. there's no need to project your political musings on simple music for children. here's a simple cue for piano teachers on Andantino vesna.music.mos.ru/education_activities/metodicheskie-razrabotki/%D0%97%D0%B0%D0%B1%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B9.pdf the perceived "darkness" is just that, a darkness in modern perception of pretty much anything.
It is an incredibly detailed explanation and presentation of this lovely melody that I used to sing when I was a child. Beautiful arrangements, touch, dynamics and emotions are presented by Lang Lang. Every single note is telling a story with beautiful colors and tones. BRAVO😊🎵‼️
I agree it’s an amazing piece, I got goosebumps, it’s so meaningful and emotional. It has an Armenian tune, it might even display the kids and children who suffered in 1915 during the Armenian genocide, with their life being so hard and leaving everything behind including their siblings, family and country
as a Turk who learned the whole history of Armenians, Rums - suffered under the regime of cruel ideology - after my 20's, i feel your pain from the deepest bottom of my heart. As long as i live, i am going to feel responsible of what happened, what had been done to innocent Armenians and Rums.
Lang, we know you play extremely well for others' compositions. But can you start composing your very own original pieces? Be different, don't be a follower. Be a creator. You can do it!
Great to play with restraint and let the piece speak for itself. Poignant
i love playing that song so much!!! perfect for rainy days
