At first I was like "no way he can build the whole app in 2 10 min vids" but this turned out to be the best React Native tutorial I came across, fr!! Thanks :))
ive watch multiple "build your first react app" videos but i get lost in the middle somewhere, and demotivated. I didnt think u would be able to build a whole app in 2 10 min videos. best react native beginner friendly tutorial ive seen. i made it through the whole thing!!!
I always wanted to get into React / React-Native but I never wanted to pay because 1$ is about 100 in my currency, which means courses are very expensive, and all the tutorials I followed, I never understood them, but this one, I understood it perfectly! I must say you outdid yourself and outmatched my expectations!
I've never used React Native before this tutorial, and I was able to follow along perfectly. Thank you so much for making this, and I hope you make more React Native tutorials in the future!
And thank you for not adding more confusion with creating hundreds of components and tens of asset files. You made it easy to understand the core concepts of state in those last few minutes. Let me watch more of your videos and code along as I familiarize myself with RN.
yes actually this best method that i used to learn literally everything i know now , i don't understand how some tutorial are like 4 h long and also for beginner but the start point the the whole project ready to go
At this point you’re beyond underrated man. Explains briefly and clearly all the basis stuff to get started and also pretty UI, liked and subscribed man thank you.
I'm in class and used this to finish an assignment. I don't know shit about react native but this worked amazingly. Thank you so much! I hope your pillow is cold every night! ❤
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial, I made my own version and realized that It's not so hard to make a mobile app 🙏 This is the best tutorial I came across
More tutorials please. It's not everyday you find a youtuber who's good in explaining react native stuff and doing it for free. Kudos! 👍 Just a suggestion, maybe suggest also your favorite extension to use with VSCode to automate most of the common boiler templates of react native.
Thank you so much for this simple yet in depth tutorial. I have an interview this morning and I wanted to ensure I had a good grasp on React Native as a plus. Good job with the explanations and quick tutorials.
I've learned and used React. Somehow the React hooks like useState and useEffect still are the most confusing things for me. Now having to learn React Native with inadequate short tutorials like yours has been difficult. I'm so glad that I found your channel and I wish you had more videos on the topic because everyone has hours worth of content, but you explained it better than the rest in less than 30 mins! Thanks, Matt!
Using async storage will be a good idea to persist the state of the todo items ? Isn't it ? Otherwise the state will clear every time we close the app.
so gorgeous tutorial, excellent and comfortable for beginner, huge help for me who want to learn real thing, not just tap keys to follow and have no time to review and think
Would love more React Native videos like these! Preferably ones that cover different aspects of React Native and different kind of app features that you can make with it!
This is one of the best two video courses on RUclips, loved it, man! Do you provide any Services bro? Also, can you do a tutorial on how to update API (Your app currently targets API level 29 and must target at least API level 30 to ensure it is built on the latest APIs optimized for security and performance. Change your app's target API level to at least 30).
As a web developer, I thought react native is completely different. Just came across this series and found out that, it's basically the same with minor differences... Loved the series. Kudos to you 👏👏. P.S. I was screaming at my screen when you forgot the return statement when mapping over the array 😅
You just earn a like and a huge subscription with this few moment of intellectual magic bro... thanks and keep the contents coming... you're a God in the game bro
Can you make a video on react native flex and designing. Because I have watched videos on Flex but till now no one has taught like you. Love your way of teaching ❤️
Is on 7:47 the „onChangeText“ statement not a good choice? Because on every typed character it would call the function or am i wrong? Thank you for the good tutorials💪🏼 you should do more of that
I googled and changed my items view to a scrollview and set the height to 80% which looked much better when you added more items that couldnt fit the screen :D
That's awesome, great job figuring that out! On GitHub, I've added the code to this project and also included the ScrollView to enable list scrolling github.com/mattfrances/simpleReactNativeTodoList
Thanks for the tutorials! I have been making web apps with react for a while now and I was looking to start building some mobile apps. I like how your tutorial are very clear and to the point. Keep it up!
Great question, that's because I had the setting turned off for the keyboard to show up on my simulator. If you're on mac, you can toggle whether the keyboard comes up or not by doing the following in your simulator - ⇧ + ⌘ + K
Hats off to you bro, Yes I want more and detailed content, it would be great if you create a series of learn react native which makes a beginner to pro developer. Thank you much my brother 💝💝💝💝💝💝
Great pacing on this video. I had difficulty with other longer tutorials as they go too far into the nitty gritty before actually doing anything. This is a great jumping off point for people who are familiar with Javascript/React but need a good kickoff for mobile development!
At first I was like "no way he can build the whole app in 2 10 min vids" but this turned out to be the best React Native tutorial I came across, fr!! Thanks :))
Means a lot thank you so much 🙌 🚀
Lmao, the 5 comments above me are clearly running a scam together.

Literally this though, best for beginners that I have seen so far and I have watched a lot!!
Genuinely the best one I have found as well!

@@MadeWithMatt you should follow up with an edit function to complete the crud capabilities.
And thank you for not adding more confusion with creating hundreds of components and tens of asset files. You made it easy to understand the core concepts of state in those last few minutes. Let me watch more of your videos and code along as I familiarize myself with RN.

If anyone is curious, in 'App.js', changing the flex property to '2' will wrap longer text inputs instead of them outputting off of the screen.
There's no much react native tutorials for beginners with better UI. Loved this video. Looking for more better UI based apps like this!!
Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it 🤩🚀

The keyboard wasn't showing at 13:30 when you were typing into Input. What could be the issue?
