- Alrighty Guys and Gals, today is the day we get to try out the FPV Duo!! Vivitar's First Person View drone sold at WalMart. I've flown alot of drones but never in FPV. There's a first time for everything!!! Let's see how it turned out!

Beware, no spare parts are available from the manufacturer (Vivitar).This is like building a car that has rims welded on so you cant replace tires. "One Key Unlock" does not work. Use both sticks down and inboard instead. The manual refers to the "Emergency" button pg 16 to shut off rotors in case of a crash or at touchdown of landing to stop rotors. There is no indication on controller layout Manual pg5 that shows. After three emails with tech support, they sent an updated manual image showing that it is the same as the "One key landing" button. Manual landing by reducing throttle until touchdown causes the vehicle to hop around a lot and the drone does not spin down rotors automatically and high risk of prop damage. After talking with tech support they said " Once you press the emergency button the drone should land steadily. You should press and hold the emergency button for a safe landing. " This does seem to work consistently if you land where you took off.
My first calibration didn't work. The solid green light doesn't show up. It keeps on blinking and toggling between red and green. Do you have any tips?

Grady couldn’t take it either. Gave him headaches because of his glasses. They actually let him return it for that reason at Walmart. Could not believe it.

I was thinking of gluing one of those wide angle lens or fish eye to still see more around, but then I thought maybe it will blur the lens because the camera doesn't have autofocus? Or would it work if is one of those camera that have infinite focus? Just thinking outloud
Its a FPV basic drone for practice shots not bad bought one....DJI professionally is the best no matter what on any level.
I just purched this drone from Walmart. I want to learn all about this amazing drone.
Is this a good beginners drone
I just picked one up for filming aerial shots for some videos I am working on. Neat little drone for the money. Did you try it in all 3 speed modes? It has low, medium, and high speed modes for learning to fly in FPV. Haven't given it a full run yet myself to test the speed modes and how much lean it may have at full speed.
Hey, what format did you use for the SD card? I keep ending up with an empty card after recording
I used a new card, worked ok no format needed. RR
Can you fold up propeller arms when dine?
Can't get mine to record. Did you two have any problems at first when getting it to film? Could I be the U1 type sd cards?

So, have you considered mounting a mirror in front of the camera to make it truly a racing drone? Get that angle you need to fly it racing FPV...

I just bought the exact drone an hour ago but I'm wondering about the stability and I just realized its only 720p🙄 Im trying to shoot music videos with it but Im not sure now. I might take it back
For $100 more you can get the DJI Mini SE. This drone is fun, my son loves playing with it. The camera quality is horrendous. Not worth $200.
Do you even own this drone I do and it's great there is a big difference between FPV and regular DJI drones

Tried to set up the headset it comes up for a second then cuts out I am near an tower and power lines does that cause issues

Btw sometimes the thing will just fly away on its own, I broke my propeller because the thing decided to slam into a wall
Nice but Ill stick with all my DJI and fpv builds, y’all need to try the avata and dji fpv…… I also have builds with new dji 03 air unit so y’all try those!

How do you know when the battery is charge because both of my red and green light are blinking at the same
X mtr battery charging both lights on, only green fully charged. Goggles small red light charging , off charged.
Can you move the camera with the remote or do you have to do it manually before flight
Manual adjust only. Gotta set it before you fly it.
Has anyone tried mounting a go pro to it?

Does product is probably the worst thing I've ever used it doesn't work you have to do a long calibration it never connects and the battery always shuts off as soon as you try to get to the end part so it never ever flies.
How do the antennae fold open from the controller?
Had the same problem and question. It felt like I was going to break them. Eventually I just pulled really hard and they came free

I just bought one at Walmart. I'm going to fly it for the weekend then take it back. So to all you poor people out there are just go buy some and then to go take it back when you're done😅😅😅😅
Have you tried the SHARPER IMAGE drone from walmart for 60 bucks? It's supposedly got a 250 ft range and decent camera and flight time.. I hear it's super nice for three 20 dollar bills.

@@NTLVlogs it's the mach x sharper image drone.. I forgot the MACH X.. a guy reviewed one and flew it and unless he lied about the camera it was real smooth and clear.. I didn't get it.. I just got a vti skytracker. It's cool but soon I'm going to get the micro SE. It's like 300 bucks, claims 13,000 ft.. a guy told me safely 9000 is far as he's take his micro SE.. but the video quality is top notch for 300 bucks.

The Sharper Image drone uses WiFi and like you mentioned has a 250ft range. The FPV Duo has a range over half a mile at 3500 ft. No goggles with the Sharper Image. Gonna need a phone tethered to it. The FPV goggles can theoretically be used with other 5.8Ghz FPV cameras as well. The Sharper Image doesn't have GPS while the FPV Duo does. Follow Me feature on the FPV Duo as well as features for circling a point of interest. The Sharper Image isn't a bad unit. I have one. However the FPV Duo has a lot more features.

I have the Mini 2 and then tried flying this Vivitar FPV drone. It's night and day in comparison. The Mini is rock solid and the video quality is 4K. There's no good reason to spend $200 on this drone.
