Thanks for the great info. I've been in love with the idea of building a home ever since I was in my early 20s and now it's about to happen soon. I want to put my touches on it plus I just so happen to live in a part of the country where it's cheaper to build especially with having a brother who's a contractor. 😊

Is an architect needed if we know what we already want? What is an idea what it would cost to buy land and build our home on it w/ all the extra costs that comes with that? We want the most 8-15 acres w/ a Barndominium home and hopefully a 45 min drive from the city? We do want a barn also! This will literally be our first home and our last! And hopefully we can start doing it all in about 3 years. We don’t care for being near a subdivision but we hope the land we find will come with utilities.
I am watching your videos because I want to buy a Golden Eagle Log home. Hopefully, because they do the design, engineering and provide the materials it will be a bit quicker than a normal new construction.

Exactly building a house 🏡 is expensive, be it here in the states or in Africa mostly the finishing stage is draining 👍👍👍
