I'd buy a Dodge Travco if I had someone to share the experience with. I'd keep as much of the rig as original as possible, but also upgrade a few things. I like the Cummins 5.9 litre Turbo Diesel engine.
Love what yous have done and yes the map is awesome feature I too would have kept definitely one of my obsessions since I first saw one on craigslist- It was a purple blue and all original too but you need money to invest in them and was not meant- But maybe one day ! Enjoy yous done alot to it- Followed your other videos- But did not see the roof really smart to break into sections and good to have the solar panel and economical fridge- Like the difference between the motors and mileage- Would like a 22ft so can use as vehicle too but just to have one that has been restored and kept up is truly the way to go- There to me the best there is done my homework !
We had a brand new one of these when I was a kid. We went all over the country in it. Its layout was exactly opposite though with the dinette on the passenger side and a couch on the drivers side. Same door and window design. The original rubber seals were never very good and always leaked in heavy rain storms. The kitchen was on the drivers side as well and the closet storage behind the dinette. Kind of strange seeing it all reversed like that...
Why do these people rip out the original gas engines, and shove diesels in these Classic Coaches ????? They were built with a gas engine, and the gas engine should be left in them. If the original builders wanted these Coaches to be diesel powered, they would have built them with diesels. They were built with gas engines, and should be left that way. When you go ripping out gas engines in something vintage like this, and shoving a diesel engine in what is not designed, and intended to be diesel powered, it creates several issues, and challenges, but more importantly, it ruins their value as an Antique. 😊
Sweet older rig. This is the first time I've ever seen one. He was nice to let you make a video oh his motorhome. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.

Do you tow the Cabbie behind it? VW Forever!
Sweet looking Travco 270 motorhome. I find them way more attractive than the Winnebago Brave of the same vintage.
Thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate it
@@SilverTurtle65 You're welcome. According to Kevin, the owner, it has a Cummins 6bt Turbo Diesel engine powering it.
😁👍😊
there's one near me for 3k all original and runs... but i don't like the fiberglass body...
Hows the cell phone reception out there?
It’s two to three bars with Verizon

Sometimes replacement parts aren’t available. I didn’t get into the nuts and bolts of the restoration. I do appreciate your feedback.
That's awesome
