The Afrotherians(literally, African Beasts) evolved in Africa, when the continent was more isolated. They eventually radiated to fill a dizzying array of ecological niches, convergently evolving some of the traits of more mainland mammals in the process. They split into 2 groups, the Paenungulata, which today includes hyraxes, manatees and dugongs, and the ever popular elephants(the last three being more closely related to eachother than to hyraxes). The 2nd group, the Afroinsectophilia(literally 'African Insect Lovers') contains the aardvarks, the elephant shrews, golden moles(yeah, moles, convergent evolution is crazy), and the latter's closest relatives, the tenrecs and otter shrews. Ofc, the tenrecs are their own story. Their ancestors having rafted to Madagascar allowed them to do what their Afrotherian ancestors did all those eons ago, just on a smaller scale. We've got tenrecs that look like hedgehogs(complete with the rolling), shrew lookalikes, mole mimics(not unlike their golden mole cousins), and a whole lot more
Yall didnt trust him apparently lol. Only people I've watched react who wouldnt close their eyes. Most people dont keep them closed after the sounds. But damn 🤣
Oh dang, you two missed the outro clip (or didn't record it). Be sure to go back for it if you didn't see it after, it's ADORABLE.
yeah they always cut before finishing the video
