Fun fact: when olms (the cave salamanders) were first found, some thought they were baby dragons.

When you think about it that may be why their eyes are so huge. Because they have so little energy to spend. Having bigger eyes helps it process more information at once. Meaning less time looking around.

In ratio to body size, tapirs have the longest members of any mammal.

yo i'ma big fan of the man you're reacting to & i hate coffee but the civets in the wild eat coffee 'cherries' and poop out the bean & the turds are gathered washed & roasted apparently the digestive tract of this mofos does something chemically to make the coffee smoother and it can be like $100 a cup the issue is cause of that added value people capture them to force feed them for better access to the poo but it's not that simple since they in the wild are very picky about WHICH cherries they eat leading to high quality results spread all around the coffee field or w/e plusthe captured ones aren't kept in the best conditions so people are like it's an animal rights violation but the trade off is they also are in enclosures they keep them safe from things that may eat THEM
